The Galmont

Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty views. Walking distance to the places to see. Nothing negative.

The room was super hot and we had to ask for extra fans (no AC). The indoor jacuzzi was murky. But everything else was clean and lovely.

Good size rooms and good good bar/restaurant. The elevators are absolutely horrible as they have two elevators for this massive building. The staircase is very difficult to find. The staff did not give us any soup or shampoo the second day. Did not realize it until I was ready to shower. Very frustrating. While the staff are very nice (the usual Irish), the front desk staff had zero recommendations for restaurant or places to visit when it rains! There is got to be something indoor! I had high expectations before arriving in Galway, the hotel was somewhat disappointing. Galway itself is awesome.

The young lady in the restaurant , Ina , was AMAZING. She made our whole trip worth it

When I saw the ratings by other travelers, I was expecting something medium, but The Galmont is gorgeous and comfortable. It is right on the water, yet very conveniently located for nearly everything you'd want to do in Galway city. The room was spacious and well appointed. The food was quite good tho the restaurant staff/service was not so attentive. The price was quite reasonable for everything. We were very happy at The Galmont and would definitely stay there again. We thought it was more attractive and better located and more modern than most of the places we saw in Galway. The Galmont seems to be a convention hotel, as well, so it is lively with professional meetings -- we found that stimulating and it attracts interesting people.

we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. We were in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Food was great

First we were given a room with no window.. (it had a fake window w fogged glass that didnt open) we asked to switch since it was 80 degrees that day. they gave us another room that seemed fine initially but we were woken up several times because there was loud banging on the wall all throughout the night. the hotel staff said it was because we were next to the pipes and usually they give the room to the hearing impaired. so at 2am they moved to the 3rd room and were given a room with a handicapped shower and toilet and the bathroom didnt appear to have been cleaned.. this was the best of the three unfortunately. I stay at over 50 hotels per year and never asked to be switched and had to twice in our first night

Stayed for a week in May/June for a work conference. The hotel was wonderful, and the amenities (restaurant, included buffet breakfast, spa, bar/lounge) were great. Well worth the price paid for booking. The location is nice - just a block from the square and as a solo female traveler I felt very safe wandering around by myself in the area. If I return to Galway, I would definitely stay here again.

No check ins before 3:00PM, then get in the queue to get a room key. The hotel had a party booked in their ballroom, so no food available at the restaurant or bar. Had to leave the hotel (rain, cold, dark) to get dinner. Guests do not come first at this hotel. I'll stay anywhere else but this place next time I stay in Galway.

This is definitely a 3-star hotel (not 4-5). If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place! But... The hotel has breakfast included, and their available spa amenities were a nice feature. Rooms were a little worse for the wear, and the carpets were really dirty -- but it's a Radisson and kind of half expected. Overall good location just a short can ride from the pub crawls and action. In walking distance to a Michelin-star rated restaurant.

Great hotel wonderful service I needed wheelchair they had one for us to use. Good food at restaurant good location cold walk everywhere.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Blu in Galway. The hotel is situated nicely for exploring Galway. There is a connected parking garage. The food served at the restaurant is good. The service at the restaurant and room service were good. Our room was very spacious, well decorated, and clean. I will stay here again the next time I visit Galway.

great place to stay. I will stay there next year. would recommend to any body.

The Raddisson was very hard to find, but was fairly convenient to downtown Galway. The room was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff was extremely friendly and gave us a huge room on the executive floor because we were on vacation. Great hotels on site and a nice lobby bar that also serves a free buffet breakfast. Location is also great - just a few minutes walk from the city center.

If you are staying in Galway, this is an extremely convenient location - right by the bus station and a close walk to Eyre Square. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was great. There are not a lot of options in Galway as it's extremely small, but at the Radisson Blu you get a good bargain with the breakfast, hotel staff, free internet and gym. I think this is really the best option if you want to spend a few days in Galway.

Ok hotel, but the room service staff needs serious re-training.

Visiting Galway on business. Great location and very professional staff.

Great location! So convenient to Eyre Square!

This was the last leg of our anniversary trip to Ireland. The hotel's location is great- a short walk to the shopping and nightlife. When booking, we were unaware it was the week of the Galway Races. Upon learning this, we thought the hotel might be a little crazy. But, while it was a fun and lively atmosphere, we had no problem at all with noise when back at our room trying to sleep. Nice and clean too. All and all a great experience!
