Galway is one of the best cities in Ireland to visit, friendly people, lots to see and do, the room was superb clean, tidy and basically everything in there you needed, the service was excellent. The owners and family very accomadating and pleasant nothing was to much. Breakfast was second to none would definatley stay here again if visiting Galway without a second thought. Would like to thank the owners and family for one of the best stays we've ever experienced. Extremely close to city centre which is ideal. The O'Rourkes
We stayed here for three nights in a little cottage in the back. The cottage was clean and comfortable and quiet and had a small kitchen, which was convenient. The location was a bit far from the city center and other things to do, but there was a bus stop close by and cabs were easy to get. The staff was helpful with information and other requests. It was about a 10 minute walk to the bay, where there was a lovely walking/running trail along the beach and Galway Bay. I would stay here again.
We booked 2 rooms at this B&B in the suburbs of Galway. Nice neighborhood, ample parking, clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Just be aware that it is quite a long way to walk, so you'll either want to take a car or a cab to the city center.
Enjoyed our two night stay here. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. We got a break on the breakfast price because we stayed two nights. Rooms were neat and comfortable. Parking was convenient. Note that you can't walk to anything from here easily. Good restaurant recommendations. Very friendly and accommodating hosts.
Lovely stay with friendly staff. Recommend it highly. Would stay again no prob. Clean, quiet and lovely breakfast. Good value as well. We stayed in room for 4 and had plenty of space left. Nice hot shower and lovely sitting areas to relax.
Great place to stay , friendly staff , good location , very spacious room for 3 people , very good value breakfast to suit everyone . If I had one to to give it would be not to order breakfast when booking , they tend to offer you a deal on arrival 😉 overall great value for money and they had no problem when we asked to stay another night . I would recommend to anybody, and I will go again .
This B&B is not really that close the Galway or the beach. It is out of the way from any shopping or dinning. Be prepared for a very long walk or drive or bus or taxi. Breakfast is not included but offered for additional fee. The rooms are small but very clean. The mattress was of poor quality and I could feel and hear the springs. It does not qualify for a 4 star rating. The breakfast staff was very nice.
A good place to stay overall. Good accommodation , but not enough heat. However, I feel this B&B could go from good to great with a few simple changes. I ordered a poached egg which clearly was cooked in a microwave- dreadful! It is so easy to cook correctly. Coffee was poor also. Not sure I'll be back.
I stayed in Amber Hill B&B, Galway one Fri night in late Feb. While the room was small, it was warm, had a comfortable bed and facilities were acceptable. The cost was Euro 65 for a single room. As it was advertised as a B&B I assumed I would receive breakfast. I was disappointed however when I checked in, was asked to pay up front and only then told if I required breakfast it would be an extra Euro 10!! As far as I'm aware this is false advertising and an underhanded method of getting extra money as the B&B is quite isolated. On principal I drove into the city where I paid Euro 6.50 for a delicious breakfast. Please be up front with your customers Amber Hill. I would not stay there again.
Stayed here 1 night during a holiday in Ireland. It's a short bus ride from station and centre of town. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful upon arrival. Pleasant room with ensuite, quiet. I left my iPod in the room and the one of the staff kindly posted it to me. Very grateful.
