The unit was fine. And I know 5-star reviews are wanted, but I have to take in our entire experience as it’s fair that others should think about what they’re renting. This unit is on the 2nd floor. When booking, I didn’t think about people being above us and that the units wouldn’t be well insulated. We could hear EVERYTHING above us. They walked loud. I could hardly sleep from hearing heels hit the floor day and night. 2-4 am. I don’t even know what they were doing, but it was constant; thank God is was just walking and not hearing other things. Had I thought about this being an issue, I would have booked the top floor. Separately, I bought muffins and brought them with me. Nothing was wrong with them. I set them on the kitchen counter and when we got up in the morning to eat them, they were covered in tiny black ants. The unit needs pest control. On the positive side, the view was good, having items for the beach in the storage closet was convenient. There were five of us (2 adults and 3 kids) and the space was fine, but a little tight. The host was accommodating for a later check out, but questions went unanswered for hours. None of the phone numbers I found got me to anyone and texts went unanswered. Eventually I received responses inside the app. Overall, things were fine. We wouldn’t return again simply due to how easy it is to hear neighbors through the ceilings. I give 3 stars because 3.5 isn’t an option and 3 stars ok, and that’s how it was.
