It was a nice stay. The room was clean and the gated building was a good plus. I had paid for late-checkout. Only unfortunate thing was my boyfriend got locked out after their checkout time. I was at an interview and had to step aside to call them. Other than that, all was perfect.

Hotel is older and in worse condition than pictures show. Room was decent for price but walls are paper thin and trampling from upstairs room is loud. No elevator on property.

Hotel is good but some guests smoked weed by the door

The room was clean, but needed some repairs. The biggest problem was the walls are thin and across from our room they rented out a large room for a baby shower. There was a band with drums and it was loud. It went to just pass midnight. I did call the office who sent over someone to shut the doors but of course a few minutes later the party goers opened them again, clueless to those of us that actually expected to get some sleep. A lot of noisy people were outside too. We finally got to sleep by 1 AM, only to be wakened at 6AM by some loud people going by our room, clueless that maybe we and others were trying to sleep. The shower valve knob was loose, the right armrest on the desk chair was falling off, the thermostat battery was almost dead, and only two tissues were left in the tissue box. We found the beds too firm too.The breakfast was OK, could of had some sausages or bacon. Note; no elevator, two story hotel. Really looks more like a motel with room access outside.

The room was the long and narrow bathroom was short and skinny

This hotel is old and questionable. They have good security but when I got into the room the sheets and blankets were wrinkled. I had to inspect them to see if they were actually clean.

I’ve stayed at this location a few times and each time the room was clean and everything was in working order.

El Cortez is a great hotel right there at Fremont street experience. Casino in hotel has plenty blackjack and roulette. 5 miles from strip about $20-23 one way. Fridge in room no microwave no free breakfast. Cool spot I’d stay again.

The rooms are clean but still telling their age very clearly. Personel were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was a great disappointment as the only option to serve anything is toxic and cheap styrofoam plates and bowls, of course, cutlery is disposable plastic too, People wash some dishes!

My car was broken into overnight and by reaction of staff it seems like an existing issue. They advised the video was blurry and didn’t show a clear enough license or face of individual who smashed my window. Actually, they had little reaction to my situation and expressed no concern or care that it had happened. Room was okay. Wouldn’t recommend simply due to response of staff and impression that this was a known problem at their location.

I had a good experience but I was without TV service for the first two days .

The rooms were very clean and big and the beds were very comfortable

Stayed overnight. Not bad at all. Would recommend.

Worth the money. Location is good which is closed to everything.

Sufficient for an overnight prior to Yosemite, but very motelish.

Hotel is similar to a motel 6 or less. It is overrated. Rooms bed was not even made. I would compare it to a 2.5 star motel

It could be better if the staff is more friendly. Checked late at 11:30 pm 7/1, the staff returned ID and CC. and said nothing, not even showed me where my room is and no hotel map provided, saying nothing's about the breakfast ans where to take the free breakfast..

When we got to the rooms it was late. Both rooms smelled like stale cigarettes. It was so late that we just sucked it up, and went to sleep. It was a pretty nasty smell.

One night was enough. Service in hotel and restaurant indifferent bordering on rude, room should have been refurbished a couple of years ago. The love seat was so grubby I never sat in it. When I requested a ground floor room because I didn't want to risk my physical safety hauling my luggage up a steep flight of outdoor concrete stairs staff juggled rooms to meet my request but weren't gracious about it. I'm a grandma and those stairs looked like a deathwish to me.

Stayed for 5 days, room was not cleaned during stay. Mid week had to ask for clean towels. Had 2 floor by pool and when you walked in hall, most the time had strong smell of someone smoking pot, and hall carpet needing to be replaced. The room was a nice and good shape.
