Columbus Hotel is fine for a quick overnight stay

The Columbus Hotel is a convenient and affordable option for a quick overnighter just 3 min from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). The property is small, but clean and staff is friendly and accommodating. What was off putting was the level of activity and noise in the rooms on all floors which could be heard until 3:00 AM. I have a feeling that the hotel doubles as housing for asylum seekers.

No frills base for exploring Frankfurt.

Easy check in/out. Clean - best used as a base for a short city break. Staff very helpful. Next to the main station which is handy when your bus is at 3am. Pizza bar next door is excellent. Good Wi-Fi.

Understand your expectations

Great service at check-in. No A/C, but staff unasked brought me a fan to help with hear/humidity. Nice little room, kept exceptionally clean each day. Like most small hotels, located in a neighborhood where people live and eat, so expect people talking into the night and the street cleaners nice and early. Very simple breakfast, but I don't need much. For me, great location near train station and only a kilometer to the Messe. For a small business guy like, it was just fine.

The hotel staff were very helpful. The gentleman at the reception gave us complete directions to find the market we were looking for, and recommended two excellent restaurants for us to try in the old town. I'd suggest you walk across to the pedestrian bridge which offers a lovely view of the river and city.

Area terrible, gangs on corner every night keeping me awake until 3am, homeless people in the street outside the hotel, felt unsafe walking out at night. Only positive was close to the venue I was attending.

the carpet at room is dirty, towels as well - I've found the bunch oh hair from someone on my "fresh" towel. the blanked has tailored gapes... dirty closet - no space for the suits as this was my Business trip stayed only one night, then moved to different Hotel.

Comfortable hotel and friendly staff

The hotel was just one block from the Hauptbahnhof, which made it easy to access for visitors to Frankfurt. We wanted to leave a suitcase at the hotel for a week while we traveled around, and that was no problem for the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Close to trains

Close to the train station but the neighbourhood was a bit uncomfortable at night to talk through. Room was small and had people walking above us for the first night. Second was better. Good wifi. Needs a bit of dusting, previous guests writing messages on the wall in the dust is clearly visible!

I can say this hotel is a good value for the money. Rooms are clean and tidy (though not very spacious) and the breakfast is ok for a fair price. There were problems with Wi-Fi in few of the days and the neighbourhood is a bit noisy.

Unique neighborhood and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful visit to this hotel. It was in a really cool old world feel neighborhood. The room was the largest room we stayed at in any hotel in Germany! The breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Clean, close, kind

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the staff. I was allowed to check in several hours early. The location is convenient to the train station. There are a few unsavory souls lurking in the streets, but as a single female traveler, I still managed fine. The price is fair for the service provided.

I was in Frankfurt for a short trip. I stayed overnight in the hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful. the hotel was near the main station and was easy to find. The room was clean and the internet worked well.

Excelent hotel to the central railway station

Excelent hotel for normal price, been here already several times. It is very close to HBF and not far away from the center. A lot of restaurant around withthin walking distance. Nice rooms with good internet conection in each of them.
