The hotel is a decent and average hotel.. reception is very nice and check in is very fast and friendly, rooms are not very updated but bigger than usual and clean... breakfast is nice but there is much to be done to improve the labeling of the dishes..the location of the hotel is the biggest advantage where you are in the middle of everything.

Their website doesn't say that they are in the middle of prostitutes and drug deals. i booked this room because it's a "4 star" hotel. I showed up with my kids only to find out it's not at all safe for kids. I tried to cancel due to this reason and was told I could not. I had to book another hotel and ended up paying for 2 hotels.

Located at the Frankfurt main train station (Frankfurt am Main Hbf), this hotel is comfortable, clean, and has a huge breakfast spread that stays up until 11. With a 12PM checkout time, this hotel worked out really well as it allowed us to sleep in after a long trip before heading out to the airport. For families, they have adjoining rooms that can be booked together for around $150 for the pair. A great value and a solid class hotel. Did not get to check out the fitness room, but if it was on par with everything else I imagine they have what it takes. Will definitely stay here again.

I spent 6 nights at this hotel and it was really a nice location. It is directly in front of the Hauptbanhhof, making the use of public transportation easy. The room was well appointed, I was on the second floor and the street noise was minimal once I closed the windows. The rooms are modern, well furbished, with the shower (Middle of the room) and bathroom completely separated. It is equiped with a fitness facility, with machines, free weights, it actually has a bench press station with just enough weights to keep most happy. Breakfast was excellent, the food didn't change much but the variety of foods was excellent. The WiFi and air conditioning worked very well during the entire stay. I paid $70 per night so there was value great value to the facility. All in all, I had a great stay at the hotel.

No idea how this place has any good reviews. The Wifi sucks. The Air Con does not work at all. I booked because it's close to the train station and has a gym, but no air con or WiFi makes this place a 2 star hotel at best. Will never stay again.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights for business meetings. I chose the Grand Empire Hotel because I thought proximity to the Central Train Station was important, and because it had a gym. I found that subway connectivity is so good in the city, that being close to the train station is not important. The room said it was four stars, but in reality it would be maybe a good 3-star hotel. Honestly, there are a lot better options in the city. The positives include that the room was fairly large and fairly clean, and it was easy to get to the hotel from the station. The bed was okay, and the bathroom was clean enough. But, there were a lot of problem. The service was poor. Requests to the front desk were not addressed at all. The wifi was extremely slow, useful only for email, chat and browsing, nothing like streaming or remote connections. The air conditioning was a joke, it barely kept the room at 75 degrees, and daily calls to the front desk didn't fix anything. The minibar refrigerator didn't cool items at all. Bottles inside and outside the fridge had the same temperature. There was only a dispenser for hand wash and for shower gel in the bathroom, no soap or shampoo. There was a gym, in the basement, that was a maze to find. But it was very cramped, not a lot of machines, and it had no air conditioning at all! The breakfast buffet was only passable. It had the basics, nothing more, and you could tell them were not quality. The price was very affordable, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Recently I was a subject of extreme discrimination by the Lufthansa in cooperation with this "hotel", only due to my name and country of origin. The peak of this discrimination was arrival to the hotel “Grand Hotel Empire”. Entering with the group of people with different, EU nationalities, after numerous cancelled flights, clearly tired and upset, where everyone got their warm welcome and comfortable room for overnight, equally unpolite and rude receptionist said that they do not have room for me due to the fact that they have no cooperation with Lufthansa, although, 30 sec. ago they issued the room for the passenger that is scheduled for the same flights as myself, with the same company and for the same destination. Fun fact: I offered to pay for the room since it was already midnight and after 17 hours at the airport phobias and discrimination, I was only capable to crash down. Clear and loud answer was: “NO”. I politely asked why, and even louder answer was: “I DO NOT CARE”. After this saga I was asked to leave the hotel. I was asked to leave the hotel to which I was sent by the same Lufthansa, with the voucher stating my name and my flight number! Friend of mine, passenger who found himself in a same flight situation, but without any issues got the new flight, room at this hotel and full service, with tears in his eyes said that as a EU citizen he feels embarrassed for such (miss)treatment. Shocked and clearly embarrassed I took a cab and went back to the airport, where I was not given any explanation and elaboration what and, more importantly, why this occurred. As a subject of such discrimination I knew the answer rights away: racism, xenophobia and islamophobia both from the unprofessional Lufthansa staff, Grand Hotel Empire receptionist and Frankfurt International Airport staff.

Recommend staying for o/n there is enough time to travel from and to airport. Three stops on the S-bahn (4.95 euro each way) and a short walk from the main train station. The hotel does not have its own airport shuttle but can arrange for transportation for 40 euros each way!!! beware when doing searches as this hotel comes up with an airport shuttle search. If you like Irish pubs, there is one near the hotel. Also some kebab shop. Strongly recommend excellent Malaysian restaurant - Selera - that is nearby. Good deal if hotel runs a special highly discounted rate. Nice room. Great gym - though hard to find. Lots of selection for breakfast.

This was so far my best stay in Frankfurt main. The hotel is right across the main station , the rooms are surprisingly well appointed and maintained, its comfortable, equipped well and large. The breakfast spread was food, and the staff are quite responsive and helpful. Highly recommended and I for sure will continue to stay here on future trips

Not a bad stay but an absolutely awful experience with the hotel management not to mention that we were a group of 34 persons that stayed 3 to 4 nights: 1) group rates (later it turned out that indiviual rates were lower) 2) a shuttle to airport for 60 euros when a taxi costs about 40 euros 3) timeliness and accuracy of the final invoices (Ramadan?)
