Pleasantly surprised at the good reception I got. Check-in and check-out was quick. The rooms and bed was comfortable and the heating could be adjusted. Has a sofa and multilingual TV stations. There are speakers in the toilet so you hear the TV. There is a hair dryer & about 4 towels. You have to stock your fridge yourself and restaurant closes at 10 p.m. The receptionist can help you contact a food delivery service if you miss the dinner. Always ask for chef's special which is written on the chalk board. There are a couple of restaurants within 10 mins walk from the hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and have plenty of storage space and a safe. You will need to provide your toothbrush & toothpaste. PS: the sockets are two pin plugs, so you may need an adaptor if your devices are three pin plugs.
Staying at Novotel fulfills my requirements either in business or family trips and Novotel Frankfurt city also is not exception. Pros.: clean room and comfortable beds, kind staff, 20 minutes walking distance to Frankfurt HBF, 10 minutes to Messe (fairground and station) and 5 minutes to Frankfurt west train station. 20 minutes walking to Palmengarten. Breakfast was very good. Fridge (but empty) in room and almost everything spotless. Cons.: nothing in my mind!
Nothing more than you expect for a hotel near the messe. You can stay here and you will feel OK, rooms are OK, breakfast is OK and stuff is OK. Nothing too good to say but we did not even have any problem.
Tried this hotel as I stayed only one night. Condition was not to be too expensive, close to the airport and close to Roedelheim with free parking. Novotel are reliable, so far never had a bad experience so I picked it. My expectations were fullfilled. Parking in the street was possible but could have also parked for free on the premises as it was a Sunday night. Checkin was ready, no problem, got quickly my key and other things. Lifts are a bit slow but for the few floors fully acceptable. Coming from Asia the rooms always seem to be small, however, they are sufficient and clean The usual staff in the bathroom was provided, the novotel brand claiming to be environmental friendly. Reuse disposer for shower gel in the shower. When the windows were closed the noise level was okay, however, it is possible to hear the railway a bit. This was not disturbing for me. Got my free drink in the bar and have had a nice German white wine. The bar / dinning area looked nice but as in most hotels, no guests I was alone there. No lounge for business guests in the hotel. Only downpoint I checked the fitness room. This is in the basement, very small and windows, I postponed my workout to the next days in the other hotel I was staying. There is also a Sauna but you have to tell upfront that you want to use it so it gets heated up. Hence I skipped that too. Breakfast standard German hotel style, enough to get full with the right quality. Checkout was a bit slow, somehow was difficult to print my bill, but I guess that was a single case issue.
excellent hotel with restaurant in case of bad weather, the rooms are cleaned every day are really great the bathrooms are very comforting is clean I will be back safe, also because quality price is worthwhile !! great!
The Hotel located near Messe ( Exhibition Center) and very close to Sky Line Plaza Shopping mall . The staff is amazing and I don’t want to say about somebody specially because ALL ARE PROFESSIONALS and are ready to help anytime. Here is available restaurant with daily breakfast buffet and city breakfast( it is on your choice ) and not daily lunch/dinner buffet . It is easy to access to center of the city - near tram station and Bahn stations ( Festhalle/Messe and WestBahnhof ) . I wish to visit this hotel again . All the best !!!
I would like to share my experience staying at Novotel Frankfurt City during past NYE 2017. We selected Frankfurt as our base that evening since we plan to experience New Year's celebration. In addition, our flight back to Asia also would be leaving from Frankfurt International Airport the next evening so that we needed a hotel that would accommodate our request in having late check-out until 5:00 pm the next day. Both of me and my wife took S-bahn train and got off at Frankfurt Messe station. It took both of us a good 700 metres to walk. Frankly speaking, tt was not an easy walk while dragging 2 big luggage with us. If you carry a big/heavy luggage, I personally would recommend you taking a taxi from Frankfurt (Main) Hbf which will cost approx. Euro 10 to 12 depending on the traffic condition. Check-in was prompt : Within 10 minutes, both of me and my wife entered our room which was located in the 6th floor. Our room was clean, well maintained and every single thing worked perfectly during our stay. The room condition certainly exceeded my initial expectation. I am fully aware with the fact this hotel is normally fully booked during exhibition and average hotels nearby exhibition halls tend to have slight inferior quality rooms compare to average business hotels. Initially, we both were quite cautious with the area surrounding the hotel particularly since it was quite. However, we found it was pretty safe : After celebrating New Year in the river's bank, we returned back around 1:15 pm by S-bahn and we still met several people on the street on our way back to the hotel. Breakfast was really good the next morning. Lots of people were in the breakfast area (I guess the hotel was fully booked the night before). We had a late check-out (approx. 4:30 pm), headed back to Frankfurt (M) Hbf and took S8 to Frankfurt International Airport. Overall, this is a good hotel and it is well located, near Frankfurt messe and Frankfurt (M) Hbf station, which makes it an ideal base both for business and pleasure purpose.
The Hotel was OK. The location is a little quiet being a business area however there is a very good Tram service a three minute walk from hotel. However I stayed over the New Year holiday and on the first night (Friday 29th) the bar and bar food service was closed. I was told that this was for only one night as an exception, despite there being many people around the lobby area. However this was not so. The bar was closed on return to the Hotel on the night of 31st at 00:40, and on returning from a day out on 1st of Jan at 20:00 the bar and food service were again closed. We were directed to the Mercure Hotel a good five minute walk in pouring rain on a cold night. There was no information informing clients of this at any point and no member of the Hotel staff informed me in advance. This I found totally unacceptable as the directory in the room states that the bar and food service is open daily from 06:30 to 01:00. This was very disappointing for what was meant to be a holiday break staying in a well known 4 start Hotel and would seriously put me off staying there again.
I am a silver Accor member and always go to this hotel whenever I visit Frankfurt. However, I have to comment that this time I was disappointed with the service. I asked to one of the receptionist guys for a late check-out (which I have the right to given my status) and while he initially seemed reluctant, he finally gave the ok. However, what happened in reality was otherwise. I had to bring my parents to the airport early in the morning and the reason why I asked for late checkout was so I could get some nap before my 4h drive to Munich. For some reasons there was a mix-up and I was disturbed during my nap 3 times in the space of 1 hour. I was tired, extremely annoyed, and finally decided to leave. The hotel is good as always but this time I didn't feel like I was treated as a returning customer.
Not really a 4 star hotel. Good for budget travelers. Still rooms are spacious and clean, bed and pillows are soft, but door isolation is awful and you can hear all the nose from corridors. Breakfast is rather modest. Receptionist work seemed to be chaotic both at check in and check out time.
