Wonderful stay in August, left us wanting to stay longer. We had a special dinner prepared by Lance and it was superb, fresh and served beautifully. The proprietors and their are gracious and lovely people. We will be back! Thanks!

My husband and I were so pleased with the Inn. Very pretty room, delicious breakfast, and Sandy and Lance are very gracious hosts. Whitewing Farm is a gorgeous estate convenient to Longwood Gardens and Brandywine River Museum. We hope to go back soon!

The in was a great spot to stay while visiting the West Chester area. We took a day trip to Gettysburg and then visited the Logwood Gardens and the Brandywine River museum another day. The beds were very comfortable the innkeeper was most helpful to make the stay enjoyable. We appreciated the flexibility on the morning breakfast to cater to a gluten free diet and accommodate mushroom allergies. The setting for the farm was very peaceful and surrounded by estate homes in a very picturesque area for the Brandywine valley.

This inn gets a 10+ from this world traveler. Sandy and Lance are the owners and have renovated an old farm that is in the country but close to everything! Next to Longwood Gardens, and 10 minutes from The Brandywine River Museum, it's also an easy drive to Winterthur and the other DuPont mansions. I actually came to West Chester for family business and it wasn't easy to deal with, but coming "Home" to freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or banana bread and free snacks and sodas or bottled water made it all go away. Imagine being on a leisure trip! The pool is beautiful and spring-fed water. But the best part is Sandy and Lance who really care about your well-being and your comfort. The rooms look exactly like the photos. And then the folks who stay here are lovely to talk to as well. I think the Inn attracts the type of folks who are thoughtful and kind. (Many have been here several times.) I felt like I made new friends in the two days and nights I stayed there. (I was planning to stay one night but because of how much I liked it, I stayed a second night.) At times I felt like I was in France because of the landscape and lush green lawns. Now, in case you're thinking this is too good to be true, or I must be a relative, I'm not. In fact, I will tell you the Internet can be spotty so if you're on a treadmill and want to conduct a major business deal, this may not be the place for you....actually if you need to get OFF that treadmill, this IS the place for you. I can't imagine how the main lodge is in the winter. Plenty of books to read and OH, how can I forget? The breakfasts are huge and delicious. Lance is a chef who once owned a restaurant so he truly enjoys to cook. As Arnold said, I'll be baaacck. This time to enjoy all the museums, chill and see my new friends Sandy and Lance.

My spouse and I spent one night recently at this inn. There have been several recent reviews that sing its praises and I agree with them. So, I will just point out a couple of things to help in your selection. The only room available for us was the Stable Room. It was comfortable and clean but the small windows were disappointing. The website pictures for other rooms seemed to have larger windows and access to decks or patios. I realize our room had the lowest price. So, next time, we'll try to pay a bit extra for more openness. There was "no service" on our AT&T cell phones while we were there. We did have access to free unsecured WiFi. We took advantage of the large dining room for reading and wonderful snacks during the afternoon. We did not try the pool but it looked inviting. We will definitely stay here next time we visit the area.

Whitewing Farm is the best B&B we have stayed in, period. In fact “Inn” is the correct term. Excellent private, unique rooms are surrounded by beautiful grounds. The individual care, service and superb food make this a destination itself. The proximity to Longwood gardens was our original purpose for choosing Whitewing Farm, but the next time we are going to stay a week there just to decompress. The owners, Lance and Sandy took care of all and any needs very quickly and yet were not intrusive in any way. Breakfast was excellent , homemade, fresh, and delicious. The grounds are gorgeous and promote relaxation and/or exercise. Each room is unique and very well appointed, first class throughout the grounds.

My wife found about this amazing place online when looking for accommodations near Longwood Gardens. We initially booked for 2 nights but stayed for 4, having the opportunity to experience 2 of the amazing suites. Lance and Sandy are incredible hosts and their hospitality made us feel at home. Having never stayed at a B&B before, we didn’t know what to expect. From the moment we pulled into the driveway of this lovely place and after meeting our hosts, we felt welcomed and the stresses of everyday life soon washed away. The breakfasts were amazing! We enjoyed walking around the lovely property. We enjoyed our interactions with other guests. My wife was sad when we had to leave but happy to know we would return one day soon. We wish we lived closer so we could come back more often. We can’t wait to come back! Sally and Kirk O.

Idyllic setting, enthusiastic and knowledgable hosts, great country breakfast, peace and quiet, clean and comfortable -- what more could one want for a weekend getaway? Also, only a couple of miles from Longwood Gardens. Only (minor) suggestion: if the parking area could be moved to behind the "stable" units rather than in front, the otherwise idyllic view would not be obstructed.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at the Inn at Whitewing Farm. The property is beautiful, the location is excellent, the breakfast is delicious, and the innkeepers are friendly and gracious. We stayed in the Daily Review room in the Carriage House, which was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the private deck adjoining our room. One note of caution: Do not flush the toilet while someone is taking a shower, because the shower water becomes temporarily very hot. We highly recommend the Inn -- you will not be disappointed!

We were looking for a change of pace from the daily grind, and the Inn at Whitewing Farm provided just that (and more) this weekend. In less than 24 hours we felt so comfortable,we were ready to become permanent residents if that was ok with our hosts Lance & Sandy. The grounds are stunning. The breakfast is excellent. The company is priceless. The Inn at Whitewing Farm is a smart choice if you're looking to visit the best attractions Chester County has to offer.
