Very clean and good sized room. Staff was friendly and free breakfast was ample. Coffee available all hours and was actually very good. Only complaint was the layout of the bathroom was cramped and made it difficult for more than one person to get ready at a time. Would not hesitate to stay here again - impressed!
Nice hotel near highway and not too far from Bayfront Convention Center at the Lake either. Friendly and welcoming front desk staff. My room with king size bed was clean and spacious. Free hot breakfast was a plus. Enjoyed their indoor pool. Will recommend and come back. Two thumbs up.Good Job.
We ended up with a very large room. Bigger than I've seen in any hotel with a spacious sitting area. It was nice to relax on the couch or chair with ottoman to watch tv rather than lay on the bed. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. Extra big towels were provided without having to ask for them. Lots of hot water, wifi worked well, good tv channel selection, fridge and microwave. The fridge did not have a freezer section. We travel with ice packs so we weren't able to refreeze them that night. Breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns plus the usual selection. The breakfast room was very large so easily accommodated the guests that morning. Our room was on the interstate side so the noise was a factor. Fortunately we are not light sleepers so that wasn't a problem for us. The entrance into the driveway is a little difficult to find. You enter by the lights where the hotel with the splash park is and then follow the service road to this hotel. Tons of shopping and restaurants close by. Only 5 miles to Presque Isle Park and othe attractions at the lake. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area.
We checked in Saturday afternoon and everything was already for us. Room was ready...passes for splash lagoon there waiting and ready...check in was a breeze!! Room was nice and concidering how many families were there the hotel was really quiet. We had breakfast there in the morning and no complaints from anyone. Food was hot and fresh and gave us a good start on the morning. We also liked the interior walkway directly to splash lagoon, it was raining the next morning and we didn't have to step foot outside. My youngest son even asked if we could come back again...which I think we will.
We stayed here as part of a Splash Lagoon package. It was conveniently located about 1/2 block from the park. There is a way of travelling between the hotel & park inside, but it is kind of a meandering way of getting there. In the winter it would be an excellent option, but as we travelled in summer, we preferred to just walk directly outside. The room was satisfactory & they hada small free breakfast offering. It was fine for our park stay.
We are a "Senior" couple who recently traveled to Erie to visit the Lighthouses. We spent two nights (Mon. and Tues.) at this Inn and thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities ( 1st floor, close to the pool, large bedroom, separate living room ( with large TV in each), kitchenette, large bath and Jacuzzi tub) of the "Presidential Suite" that we were able to book using our member points. The hotel was conveniently located for us, it was extremely clean,, the managers and staff are very friendly and personable. The pool was one of the nicest hotel pools we've been in (and we always book a place with an indoor pool, since we swim every morning), Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, there is a warning we must mention- This hotel and the one next to it, are right next to the water park,"Splash Lagoon", which means that most of the hotel visitors were young families with LOTS of kids!. If you like to be surrounded by many little children who are not your grands, you'll probably not mind, but be aware that the walls are thin and you will hear crying babies, barking dogs and children jumping off of beds(onto the floor= your ceiling!), shouting and running through the halls at all hours of the day and night. (Apparently, there is no curfew) Unless you go to breakfast at 6:30, you will probably have to stand in line and the breakfast area is a true mob-scene, The hotel truly tries to There are two buffets, each offering the same foods- frequently replenished, so this helps a bit, but tables are at a premium. There are wide- awake kids running around in pajamas, spilling glasses of milk , throwing cheerios at each other and utterly ignoring reprimands from their sleepy parents intent only on finding the coffee pots. The afore mentioned indoor pool is lovely and heated, but no one enforces the "Pool Rules". Large signs say "No running, no jumping, no cannon balls from the side of the pool. They also say" Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult." The first morning, at 8am, there were 12 children, all obviously under the age of 16 in the pool and not an adult in sight. All 12 were taking running starts to either jump or cannonball into the pool sometimes landing on us, and sending great waves of water up over the sides. Shreiking and screaming, they were having a wonderful (albeit dangerous) time! We were able to get in a few laps and do our exercises, but the "mom and dad" in us, made us very nervous. The second morning when we got to the pool about 9:00 there were three families there.- 9 kids, running and jumping, and 6 parents reading their newspapers and drinking their coffee. Obviously, this is a wonderful, wonderful hotel for families with children. For the most part, we were able to ignore the chaos or at least, retreat to our comfortable suite and Jacuzzi tub. Perhaps on different days or a different time of year, our experience at this hotel would be very different, but "Seniors" and business people looking for a quiet, relaxing rest, BEWARE!! This joint is jumpin!!
Conveniently located right off I-90. Only stayed one night and the visit was ok. The motel only has two floors so there is no elevator. The walls are not very soundproof and you can hear people running down the hall. The breakfast was the standard Comfort Inn food. They did charge me a fee of $1.50 for a room safe above the price I booked the room for! I did not like that, but did not protest at check out.
We stayed at this comfort inn over night so we could take our boys to splash lagoon. We paid 230 dollars for a room and four passes to splash lagoon and I felt it was way over priced. We had asked for a kids suite. I thought that having two young children we might need a little more room to spread out. Kids suite was the farthest things from what we got. Yes there were bunk beds and a small dvd player but that is it when it comes to things for children. There was way too much furniture and no place to even set a suitcase. Why would a desk be needed in a kids suite? The breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast with an egg dish sausage waffles bagels and muffins and yogurt, nothing special. There was an indoor pool which was nice when you have early risers to keep busy while waiting for splash lagoon to open. It was a decent size and luke warm. The staff seemed extremely annoyed to be bothered at check out when they were doing something else. They took my room key asked for my room number and said they were take care of it. They never asked how our stay was and I never received a check out receipt. If you are looking for a business hotel or not staying with more than one child this would be a great hotel. If you have a family and a lot of luggage choose a different one.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites for our weekend at Splash Lagoon. The hotel was very clean. Maybe the carpets in the hallway are do for an upgrade, but they are still kept clean. Our room wasn't ready at noon (which we didn't expect it to be) do the front desk gave us our Splash Lagoon wrist bands and we headed off to the park. She told us to call back around 2:00 or 2:30 to see if our room was ready. We called at 2:30, our room was ready so we went back over to the hotel and finished the check-in. The room was plenty enough room for myself, my adult daughter and two grandsons ages 3 and 6. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was really good. Sausage, eggs, potatoes or hash browns, plus all the cold items. Don't miss the make your own waffles set up past the buffet. They were great! We plan on doing this weekend get away again and will totally stay here again.
The hotel was clean and the staff does a really nice job. The free breakfast was really nice. The carpet in the hallways really needs cleaned however I am certain it must be really hard for the staff to keep up with this when there is so much traffic. It was really nice that the hotel was attached to splash lagoon. The indoor pool was nice. I thought it was nice that some rooms had a balcony that allowed you quick access to the indoor pool. Overall our stay was nice.
