I stayed at this hotel for four nights this month and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. This is a number one priority for me when traveling. The room and bathroom we stayed in appear to have been renovated recently. So why won't I stay here again? About two hours after leaving the hotel we realized we left a few articles of clothing on the bathroom floor. We called immediately to report it and the individual said they would look into for me and would return my call. A day later I had still not heard back so I called again and was asked to leave a voicemail for housekeeping. I never got a call back from them. My next call was to the hotel manager who looked in the lost and found and could not find our clothing. When I followed up with him I requested that he check with the housekeeper who cleaned our room on the 16th- he said he would but that they definitely didn't have our clothing. Where did they go then? They were either thrown away or the housekeeper took the home. There is no other alternative. I am very disappointed in how this situation was handled. I visit Erie every year and will NEVER stay in this hotel again. Save yourself the trouble! The staff can obviously can't be trusted.

We stayed one night after a long day of traveling. The room was comfy and clean. The staff was friendly. We would not stay here again. Why? Let's face it. The world is internet addicted and so are we. The wi-fi here was the worst I have seen from a name brand hotel in a long time. And we have traveled all over the u.s. The system was essentially worthless. Their unsecured 2mbps system was a crap shoot whether it would connect or not. I was able to connect on my phone at times. Hubby couldn't get his computer to connect at all. Once we did connect, it was so slow we said forget it. It kept disconnecting from our top of the line smart phones. A very frustrating experience for a major hotel brand to produce such a crappy wi-fi experience in 2017. It will seriously make us question the next time we have the chance to stop at a Comfort Inn vs a competitor. We also had a problem with a noisy next door neighbor. Fortunately, they didn't party all night long. The walls seemed paper thin. We didn't complain because they eventually quieted down and we didn't want to bother the staff. We aren't those kind of travelers.

This hotel is a notch above your standard Comfort Inn and Suites. It is a large hotel, but the staff is very customer-focused. They even post the times the breakfast line is shortest. The room was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for a June vacation to Splash Lagoon with our daughter. Some first impressions...The lobby was small, but had a nice clean feel to it. Checking in was easy and the receptionist was nice, but not overly engaging. We were able to check in a little early, which was nice and went right to our room. The size of the room was nice and we enjoyed the recent renovation on the property. Here are the things we didn’t like: the thin walls, the noisy guests in the pool area from 8 PM to 10 PM the one night, our room was not cleaned the entire stay, the maids did not understand English when trying to get extra towels and garbage bags, and we never received an actual paper bill when checking out. The things we did like: refrigerator and microwave in room, the spacious bathroom with jet tub, the location of the indoor pool in relation to our room, not having to walk outside for Splash Lagoon, the hot breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable, nice variety of pillows, and nice private balcony. There are two other hotels right on the Splash Lagoon property, but if we came back we would most likely stay here because overall it is a good value with nice amenities.

Stop over in route to Canada. We arrived after midnight and the service was very good. The beds were comfortable and the room was welcoming and clean. We were first floor on the parking lot. All was quiet--until the barking dog woke us early on our floor. Be aware this hotel accepts dogs. Perhaps a second floor back room would be better. I would stay here again but would ask about dogs in residence.

This may be the best Comfort in which we have stayed. Very modern, spotlessly clean, most comfortable pillows, great breakfast, friendly personnel, close to highway. Who could ask for more? We would not hesitate to stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here on Friday, June 9, en route back to Canada from a visit to Illinois. It was our first stay in Erie, PA. We usually make it as far as Cheektowaga, NY, but had a late start on our journey that day. We booked over the phone while stopping in Ohio as a Choice Hotel member. We arrived late in the evening. We had a room on the first floor (seemed to be a handicap accessible room which was fine - means it has an over-sized bathroom). The front desk staff was pleasant. The breakfast was adequate. The bed was comfortable. No complaints. We'd stay here again if in the area.

This is an older property, but the rooms are in good shape. Staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. Breakfast area is small, so I can understand comments about crowds if hotel is full. It is attached to splash lagoon, and has a great looking pool. Only issue to be aware of is that there is no elevator. So if you have a second floor room, you will be carrying your luggage up (although the desk clerk offered to have someone carry them up for us). It is on I-90, but we didnt notice the noise in our room.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Its a lot nicer than others we've been to The room was a good size and was neat and clean. The hotel was also very quiet, we had a room that faced the pool but heard very little noise. The beds were comfortable; the pillows are not - probably the only complaint we have. Breakfast was pretty good and staff was friendly and helpful

You know how you look at a hotel picture and you are and ask, "This is it?" Our room really did look as beautiful as the picture. They told us they were doing remodeling, but it was so well contained, we hardly noticed. The Lady at the front desk has lived there all here life and gave us a great tip on where to have dinner. Rooms are clean, comfortable and I slept like a baby. Hope you enjoy!
