I have stayed at this hotel in the past. This time, I thought I would upgrade my room since the write up said the room had a hot tub. For one, it was just a jacuzzi tub and then I find out that the hot tub they did have in the past was now removed. The morning breakfast was good but was still not ready at 7 a.m.
They accomodated us when we arrived as we wanted adjoining rooms but the overnight stay was rough. They had been having an issued with the fire alarm a day prior to us coming and then during the early morning hours the fire alarm went off not only once but twice. We had the room next to us that was very, very loud and we had to call the front desk 4 times! They did go up and talk to them but it didn't take care of the issue. We had small children in our room so needless to say we didn't get much rest. We spoke to the front desk when we checked out the next day but it really didn't seem to matter to them....they checked us out and that was the end of it. I would not recommend your hotel to anyone!
The room itself was nice, a bit uncomfortable on the layout as the bed was too close to the wall because of a larger nightstand on the other side, so I kept hitting my ankle every time I got in and out of bed. The continental breakfast was good, but very very limited and seemed like the person in charge of it was not too concerned about restocking it. The waffle batter was out, oatmeal was out, no milks or waters available, no yogurt available, and did not have any breakfast meat options such as bacon or sausage (which you normally see on every breakfast menu at any hotel like this). Overall ok, but I am glad we were only in town for one night.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and really come to appreciate the cleanliness of the over hotel and the friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast is always plentiful and gets us on our way to shopping for the day.
When we arrived, they had no record of our Orbitz reservation. The man at the desk, Cory, was too busy texting on his phone to be bothered to help us. He got his manager, Ken, who told me I would have to call Orbitz. Once we got that straightened out, we went to our room. We had paid for a king room but were placed in a room with 2 queen beds. The toilet was broken. We called the front desk. Eventually someone came to look at it, only to tell us "yeah, it's broken". The curtains in the first room were torn, and there was trash under the bed. Eventually, they moved us to another room, which was in better condition. After the first few hours, our stay was nice. However, many of the staff were texting on their cell phones, and one housekeeper was walking down the hall with her cart and talking on her cell phone. The hotel was nice aside from a little wear and tear, but the staff did not seem very professional.
Convenient location and easy access to shopping malls, beaches and lake.
Called the hotel to advise of late check in. Was informed our reservations were not what we expected. Tim was very kind and tried to help us. We arrived late afternoon and had to deal with a different male desk clerk who was extremely RUDE and Confrontational. After we unpacked we encountered a problem with our room and had to be moved. The same rude desk clerk handled the issue. The other staff were friendly. We will not be returning to this hotel.
Room was larger than most hotels and was very comfortable
Location was nice next to a strip of other restaurants etc and close to Splash Lagoon for those interested in that. Breakfast was a good hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon waffles muffins hot oatmeal, much more than continental. A little on the pricey side at roughly $110 per night in a place like Erie, not a huge tourist destination. There were cheaper places that are probably OK. Nothing stood out here with the staff
The room was very clean, no lingering oders. Lobby & breakfast area kept clean, breakfast foods replenished as needed, plenty to eat at the breakfast bar. Very quiet location, but at the same time close to many venues. Glad we picked this location.
We stayed there for 2 days..weather wasn't great when we stayed. We spent a lot time in hotel..staff is very friendly and hotel was very clean.
I had a very late arrival. Upon arrival, my reservation was quickly retrieved, given a room key, moved and unloaded my car, and was in my room in less than 10 minutes!! Room was clean and neat. And the bed and pillows were wonderful. I slept very well and enjoyed a much needed rest! Will stay here again when in the area!!!!
Room was what I expected. Clean, comfortable and fresh. Good value for a 3 star hotel.
I was very pleased with my overall experience. The only small thing I disliked was hearing the highway traffic so close. Would definitely stay there again but hopefully on the other end of hotel.
It was a business trip for one night. Staff were helpful. The room was fantastic. Coffee available at all times. Breakfast was very good. It is really a good place to go. In fact I like all Wingate by Windham locations.
Very comfortable and decent breakfast. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with a flat tire that our vehicle had overnight.
Easy access on & off the express way I90 to the Hotel - Staff very friendly, excellent hot breakfast, excellent eating area, very close to a lot of attractions - looking forward to returning in the near futher
We had our daughter graduating from Edinboro Univ. and knew there would be no place to stay except in Erie. We also knew Erie would be filling up quickly as 4 Universities were graduating all the same weekend. Thank goodness we got this room reserved a month or so in advance! We got everything and more for the price! It is clean and the staff was very kind! Overall great stay! Thank you!
Had a very nice stay here. I found it to be clean, roomy, and quite. The staff was very nice and helpful. Can't go without mentioning breakfast, all you should need and more. I hope by the next stay they have replaced the American Flag outside however.
This hotel was warm and inviting, conveniently located right off the I-90, great location with shopping and restaurants within a 1/2 mile radius, clean and neat and with a popcorn machine available to guest on our first night. Nothing like walking into a hotel and smelling popcorn! Wow. With $$ - deals like the one we got, we will return.

Thank you for your review. We will be looking into why your issue wasn’t handled properly. We hope you will give us another opportunity in the future.
nice hotel but underwhelming

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. First off, I’m very sorry that breakfast was less than satisfactory. I assure you that the problem you had has been remedied. I would also like to apologize for the tricky set up of your room. We hope to see you again in the future for a stay you will love.
