This property is beautiful and meticulously maintained from the front lobby to hallways and elevators. Our room was large and bathroom had luxurious towels! We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
We liked all the shopping, restaurants, and bars within walking distance.
We were greeted nicely at the front desk. The luggage carts are worn out and tires are under inflated making them hard to maneuver. The elevators are noisy and in dis-repair (mostly cosmetic I hope). The room was very nice and clean. No bathroom fan but steam from shower eventually went away. The bar was closed when we arrived, but they were open for breakfast and it was not "fast". There was just one grumpy server who may have also been the person doing the cooking based on her demeanor. Kind of felt sorry for her, but she made no effort to explain why she was so slow. It took over 45 minutes to get our food! - not a good start for the day.

I do not believe the hotel changed out the towels in our room before arriving; they seem to just have added ones. One of the towels had feces smear on it and there was feces smears on the bathroom floor. The front desk exchanged the towels for us and apologized, but that was it. I was really concerned staying in the room because of that and it overall felt grimy. Extremely disappointed in this facility. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! STAY AWAY!!!
Loved the convenient location. Hotel was clean with a spacious lobby, nice restaurant, bar/lounge, and pool. The only negative was the hour wait (beyond the 3 pm check in). Apparently the rooms were not cleaned in a timely manner due to a staffing shortage. The hotel did provide us with complimentary drinks to compensate for the inconvenience. I was pleased with everything.

Somewhere to hang towels is needed.Our rooms were on the end of bldg where loud traffic noise & train noise was very disturbing!! Sound proof windows are badly needed for those particular rooms.
The hotel is pet friendly in downtown, near restaurants, and night life. The one thing that was unappealing was room service trays with dirty dishes were left outside in the hallway and were not removed even when the cleaning staff were cleaning rooms.
It was downtown Dubuque, close to restaurants, shopping, and the casino.

It was the only dog friendly property we could find and I was so glad it was them. They were well-located, clean and the staff was fantastic.
Stay for overnight and it was a pleasant stay. I’ll go back again.

I am glad to hear the hotel addressed the towel issue. I do apologize that the room was that way when you arrived. I will make sure we address the issue with housekeeping to ensure this does not happen in the future.
