This is a perfect place to stay if you have meetings in the Iowa Events Center--especially in the winter. You can walk everywhere indoors.
The shuttle downtown was great! Ike was right there to take us and pick us up!

Staff overwhelmed. Grab and go store understocked. Couldn't get our room clean until the fifth time we asked. Onsite parking small and lot continually full. Had to park two blocks way at a garage which was annoying because not only was it over 90 degrees but we also had to be in formal attire for a wedding.
Room not ready at check in. Got it at 1am.
The hotel and room itself is amazing and I have no complaints there. However I was never told that they wouldn't have enough parking on site for me so I was given bad directions and got lost parking in a paid parking garage off site. Had to walk through a skywalk back to the hotel. Once in my room the TV refused to stay on HDMI input and let me use my Google Chromecast even after I paid $15 extra for high speed internet. Room service was quick but the food was over priced and not any good. My Daughter refused to eat her mac and cheese and I don't blame her and my fish and chips was two overcooked pieces of fish, actually potato chips and she had a chocolate milk and I a can of diet coke. This was $40. Overall again the room was fine, location was fine, but the service was bad.
I stay at this hotel once a year. They are located diwn town close to the convention center. The pool and work out areas are nice. The lobby and bar area are adequate. There is a restaurant on the premises, however, it wasn't open. Over all nice place.
The availability of items on the in room menu was very limited. Several items not in stock
The room and rest of hotel seemed ultra clean. The location was close to convention and performance venues although our trip was for tourism. The surroundings were very walkable and the court district was within 2/3 of a mile and offered many restaurants.
Best hotel i have ever stayed in. Room service was amazing. If your going to wells Fargo this is where you want to stay hands down! Best hotel in des Moines
Great location downtown, especially for anyone attending events at the Wells Fargo Arena or other large meeting centers. Skywalks connected to the WF Arena keep you out of any cold or precipitation. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful AND always at their stations ready to serve. Elevators are fast, large bar & open seating area in the lobby. Overall, a great experience!
