El hotel está muy bien ubicado en el centro. Las habitaciones tienen un gran espacio y la pequeña cocina ayuda a los turistas que no se quieren gastar todo su dinero en comida absurdamente cara en los restaurantes.

Remarkably clean and well maintained hotel just off the main square in Cozumel. Just 10 minutes walk from my dive pickup site. Breakfast at the Casa Mexicana is included in the price and is very good. This is my first stay at the Suites Colonial and I will certainly stay again

Excellent service and hotel. Second year we come and stay here. its in the heart of Cozumel and only one block away from sea shore.

Excellent value, good location (centrally located in the town but far enough away from obnoxious cruise ship goers)

As always, the Suites Colonial is wonderful place to stay in the down town area. Very close to and only walking distance to Studio Blue Dive Shop, who we have used for many years. The breakfast buffet is always a great experience at the Casa Mexicana Hotel, one of the best breakfast meals on the island. (sister hotel to the suites colonial). I highly recommend, the rooms are always clean, comfortable and the staff always very friendly. You can't beat the price either! We will be back! Larry & Denise

It was very quiet yet you are in the heart of downtown San Miguel. Very clean hotel. Just wished the air conditioning unit is quieter. Other than that it was an excellent experience!

great value, excellent service, street construction going on in front of hotel. Internet service poor.

I booked the hotel on Monday for $44. When I arrived on Tuesday, I was told the room wasn't available and they were moving me to another hotel. They didn't apologize and they didn't give me any assurance that the new room would be comparable to the one promised or in a reasonable location. And the guy who lead me to the new hotel clearly wanted a tip for handling their screwup. I was irritated, but the staff at the other hotel, the Bahia, was nicer and the room they ended up giving me was pretty good. And yes, the breakfast was great.

It was a great hotel. It was in a busy part of town. It is NOT on a road. You have to walk into the square to get to it. There isn't parking in the area but they let you park about 4 blocks away which isn't a huge deal. They let you eat breakfast at their sister hotel, casa mexican, and it is amazing. Eggs to order, waffles and pancakes made right in front of you. There was nothing special about the hotel room but everything was clean and in working order. There is a refrigerator and television. We mostly used our tablet to access their wireless internet to watch movies which was very convenient. I think it was the cheapest hotel that the web site had to offer and it was well beyond our expectations.

Simple and no frills. Good value for the money. Clean room, hot water, A/C worked well, though it leaked water into room(used trash can to catch water) and a comfortable bed. Good location near town square and good restaurants. Would stay here again.

Cannot beat the price we paid. With the included breakfast buffet it is the best deal on the island. the intown location was perfect.

My review isn't different than most people about this hotel. It is basic, but clean. Highlights: comfy pillows and bed, fridge and tv for rainy days, very nice hard working maids.. please tip them well. Low points: mosquitos everywhere in the room, had to buy skeeter bombs and light them several times, bathroom drain stunk.. no trap, room dark.. not much light, some outlets didn't work, desk staff never gave us our emergency messages from home.. THAT was a BIG problem. Overall we spent most of our time outside, so the questionable issues weren't a big deal to us except the moscas and no messages. Breakfast at the sister hotel was very nice.

A very nice hotel that is kept up and clean. Excellent location for carnaval as is downtown. Great breakfast buffet at sister hotel. Would stay here again.

About my ratings: Amenities 3, because it's a basic no frills place. AC worked well. Location 4, right ont the square. Easy access to restaurants and cabs. Great for our group with people going i different directions. Some might prefer to stay on a beach. Cleanliness 5 Wish my floors at home shined as much! Comfort 4 My ideal room would have more of a lounging area Staff 5 everyone was helpful and frienldly Value 5 can't be beat, especially considering the huge breakfast. We paid $634 pp for a flight from Akron to Cancun and 7 nights hotel. Stayed at Suites Colonial for one week over Christmas with my family of eight (spilt between 4 rooms). It was an ideal budget choice. Easy walking access to shops and restaurants. Walked to breakfast at Casa Mexicana each day and then grabbed acab right outside Casa Mexicana to our beach of choice. About the hotel: rooms were plain, but clean. Mattresses were new. My husband and I stayed in a suite. Bedroom with two beds. Bathroom. Kitchen had fridge, stove top, sink, plates, glasses, silverware and a few pots. Didn't really look cause we only used the fridge. Sitting room had table with four chairs, two seat sofa, and a folding bed. Asked for rooms away from the bar. We were put in 201.Rest of the family was right below us in rooms 104, 105, and 106. Bar noise never bothered us. We brought earplugs, but never used them. Very nice breakfast at Casa Mexicana included. Standards fruit, yogurt, pastry, cereal. Different hot dishes each day, plus cook to order eggs and waffles. Enjoyed access to Wifi. I used it from my room. This was our third trip to Cozumel. Previous trips we've stayed at Suites Bahia and Casa Mexicana. I'd stay at any of them again. A word of caution: the tile hallways, floors, and stairs are very slippery when wet. Pack shoes with good traction.

Last time I stayed in Cozumel for the Ironman, I stayed at an all inclusive, which was nice, but I tended to stay there and didn't get out and enjoy as much of the local fare as I'd liked, which is why I decided to go with the Suites Colonial this year. The place is adorable. The rooms are very clean and are more than adequate for $48 a night. There is fresh coffee in the lobby every morning and the breakfast provided by their sister hotel is just a quick five minute walk and is very good. There are a few barkers from the shops close by that you have to deal with when you leave/arrive, but you have to deal with that pretty much anywhere in Cozumel, so it's not that big of a deal. My two main complaints: 1) No parking! I rented a scooter and while I could park it in the lobby overnight, I couldn't park there during the day, so I had to park it in a garage two blocks away. Not a huge deal, but something to consider if you're renting a vehicle. 2) The live music from the bar next door on Fri/Sat nights. Yes, the a/c somewhat drowns them out, but you can still hear them and they play until the wee hours of the morning. I normally wouldn't care, but I had to get up at 4am for an Ironman race on Sunday and the band played until 3am Sunday morning, which did NOT make for a good night's rest. My overall opinion? Great place to stay on the cheap if you just want a basic hotel and are easy going. If you like fancy schmancy or are doing the Ironman, go somewhere else.

this is the perfect place if you are traveling back and forth to cancun, etc. and not concerned with having an ocean front hotel. we flew into cozumel and rented a car to tour the island and took the car ferry the next day to cancun. we also stayed here when we came back the day before our flight. so once again we were busy touring the island beach bars so the fact that it isnt ocean front was of no concern to us. if the fact that it is right in the center of town near the food and nightlife and that it is a clean place to lay your head is all that matters, then this is the place for you!

Nice hotel. The staff was amazing. The rooms had a local feel to them and were cleaned everyday. Breakfast was provided and was extremely nice. Watch out for the locals they are pushy and will rip you off on merchandise and with your change. The people are nice ,however, and they are fun to be around. Good location. Piratas across the street is a place to avoid... The whole rip off thing...

Rooms are nice and big with a single and double bed.Full size frig and good air conditioning.Pleanty of water pressure, hot water and location is great. The only negative is on thurs, fri and sat night a band plays so loudly across the street you can't sleep between midnight and 3am and I am not a light sleeper. They also have a great breakfast buffet at casa mexicana that is included in room price.

Inexpensive and located by the square in San Miguel. Staff friendly and helpful. No problems and great vacation!

We just go down to hit the beaches and relax and maybe do some dancing at night, and the location was perfect for walking to the local nightspots. Parking was a bit of a problem with the rental car, but if you don't mind walking 3-4 blocks, you can always find a place. The biggest drawback was that the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor with a LOT of luggage (due to the fact that we brought a bunch of kitchen stuff with us -- see below), but the exercise was good for us :). The in-lobby internet was down frequently as well, but we were able to use the internet at a sister hotel free of charge, so it was not a big deal. As for the positives: the room was large and quiet, the bathroom was spacious and well lit, and the kitchenette was very handy with a large refrigerator. Note that there were only a couple of glasses, plates and pots/pans provided. We read about this on another travel review site and brought our own utensils, spices, blender, storage containers, scrubby sponge, etc. The breakfast was not a continental breakfast in the lobby that was advertised but rather was a full breakfast buffet at the sister hotel (Casa Mexicana). It was fantastic! What a nice bonus that we were not expecting. Overall, we really enjoyed this hotel and will gladly stay there again. It's not fancy, but it is clean, spacious, quiet, and has a great in-town location. The staff members were helpful and very nice, too. It's a great value for the price.
