Location was convinient, the property outside was well maintained. The room was small, musty, and the bathroom appeared to have mold, the mattress and boxspring were dirty and had what appeared to be dead bugs between the mattress and the top mattress cover.

I have stayed many times. This is a small, rustic resort for scuba dvers. It has a family feel and the staff are great. Don't stay here if you are looking to party all night. For younger people may not offer the excitement they are looking for. As an older person I love how close it is to get wet and how laid back it is.

i paid for a more expensive stay to include breakfast, but upon arrival they said no breakfast was included so i had to pay twice for breakfast. A typical switch and bait with this hotel or orbitz. Shame on you.
We liked the facility, it was clean and the staff was excellent, if I had one complaint it would be that there was no fridges in the rooms, these would have been helpful.
Very nice place for divers especially. Beautiful views from hotel rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The dive operation is great.
My wife and I have gone to Casa del Mar for the past 10 years. We always appreciate how the staff welcome us and are very responsive to our needs and questions. This year was special. We came in the middle of the COVID pandemic and everything was modified and slowed down to accommodate safety. We were both impressed by how the staff - and this is everyone for the front desk to housekeeping to restaurant staff was friendly, respectful and seemed to go out of their way to make us feel at home. Yes, the accommodations, the restaurant were all just fine as well. A final word on the grounds. It seems to me that Casa del Mar takes special care to curate its gardens that surround the resort and pool area. There are palms, philodendron climbing up the palms, coleus and more. You can stroll through the garden. If you do, you will likely meet up with one of the many iguanas that also finds this wonderful place hospitable.
This is such a well maintained property with a great bar and pool/hot tub and quick access to some lounge chairs/shade a quick walk across the bridge over the road to the water. Great snorkeling right there! Great price. And such GREAT staff willing to help with ANYTHING! Everyone wore masks, and nobody complained about them. They had hand sanitizer at every entrance and exit to the hotel and restaurant. I felt safe(safer than in Minnesota!) and respected. For anyone thinking about going, DO!
