2nd time I have stayed here. Both times were good. Cute haciendas but showing wear.

We stayed here about 5 years ago, we really liked it then. We loved it this time! We are a couple in our mid 60s and really enjoyed & appreciated the convenient location to good restaurants,to Sedena, and to the beach. It was quiet, the courtyard is beautiful. The wifi was excellent and all the staff very helpful. The Room with kitchenette was great and extremely clean. It is very quaint & we will definitely be staying there again!

Small hotel, rooms are apartment sized surrounding a gorgeous little garden courtyard. The place looks and feels very old, though everything is pristine, clean and fully modern/functional. Except the TV which was old crt although I never turned it on (Cozumel is too pretty for watching tv). Staff was super friendly and clearly dedicated innkeepers. I will stay here again for sure. The location is superb for being in town, I walked from the ferry with my roll away. Renting a scooter is mostly mandatory here (Isis rentadoro a few blocks away had the best deal I found and avoid the guys in front of the little hard rock by the ferry). This hotel is not beach front but none of town really is, it's seni urban waterfront. The really nice beaches are on the lee side near Cedrals, but all services and night life etc is a short walk from this hotel. Staying near Cedrals you would have to come to town and then back so it's best to take a scooter to the beaches, and unless you must wake up to an ocean view, there's no reason to stay anywhere else in Cozumel, hacienda San miguel is a keeper.

This is a very quaint, centrally located hotel. It is good for single travelers looking for a quiet location away from the partying crowd. It is within walking distance to north end of town with many local restaurants, grocery stores and tourist shopping. I was able to rent a scooter from the hotel which took me all over the island.

Overall, the Hacienda San Miguel is comfortable, relaxed, clean and friendly. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and the ferry terminal. We only used a taxi once, to go to a place north of the cruise-ship docks, and we walked back. The included continental breakfast is a nice touch, the coffee being smooth and tasty. The staff was friendly, and helped us countless times, to locate destinations and make arrangements for us. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Cozumel.

In the North of the city, so quiet. Beautiful courtyard and the rooms were fine. The service was great too. When you register, give your preferred breakfast time (they deliver it!) - and ask for the wifi password. Room is not new, somewhat like a motel in USA, but overall we loved the place. Spend some time reading or web surfing in the courtyard - its beautiful.

maid turned off refrigerator with my items still in it. Rooms by street can be noisy.

It was not a very nice place to stay. Enjoyed my time there.

Everything was great , anything the staff could do for you they did. Room was always cleaned but they could use a newer and larger T.V. and pans to cook with for the oven. Would recommend friends and family to stay here. Great location near the water and 1/2 a block from the main drag.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the friendly Hacienda San Miguel. We regret that we only had one night to stay! The manager acted as a wonderful concierge, recommending restaurants and setting up scooters and horseback riding for our family and giving excellent directions. The facilities were so clean and welcoming. Wish there was a pool, but there's no room for one on their site and it's a hacienda with a patio, not a resort. There was a musty smell, but that comes in most places more than 10 yrs old in humid climates. The beds are a bit firm, the same as we found all beds we slept on in Mexico The ceramic, the decor, and the beautiful windows all made our suite so memorable. My spouse and I promised one another a return trip to Cozumel and the Hacienda San Miguel when we get these kids moved out!

This place was one of the highlights of our trip :) The staff was incredible, the garden was beautiful, the room was cozy and clean, and the location was perfect! We would take this place and their other hotel, Vista Del Mar, over any high dollar place without a second thought. Spent one night at the Vista and it was equally as wonderful!

The birds were crazy noisy and some clicking from bugs. The bed was like a rock. The service was amazing and the hotel is very well located. A few blocks from an ok beach and a short walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The hotel had a lot of charm. Bring earplugs and you will enjoy your stay.

Would definatley recommend the Hacienda San Miguel to other travelers. It's location is perfect and the very low keyed atmosphere was to our liking. If you are looking for an all-inclusive type resort this is not for you. Seems that most of the other patrons had been comimg here for years (15-20) and many of them stay for 30+ days at a time. Next time I would choose a suite rather than the studio. Our room did have a nice little kitchen, in which we prepared a couple of dinners and a breakfast. They have a great barbeque where we were able to grill a couple of steaks and some delicious veggies. I would definately ask for a room NOT facing the street. The windows open onto the sidewalk and the street lights are very bright making it impossible to open up at night. The cooler does work but is very loud. Same with the refrigerator - we finally unplugged it at night so we could sleep. Bed was marginal - sort of like many beds in Mexico - hard! But the price was right and is within walking distance to downtown square and ferry dock. The staff was great and even went out of their way to help us with a glitch in our return flight. We will return!

This was our 5th stay at the Hacienda. I can go to more "fancy" places but I choose not to. The Hacienda is comfortable, the staff great, clean, very hard working maids. It is so close to town, the restaurants, shopping yet so quiet. I can not think of a better way to spend a vacation then to be greeted with rolls, coffee and juice on my veranda overlooking a quiet pretty courtyard every morning.

Great location for viewing the Carneval parade. Just one-half block from the main waterfront street. Three blocks from the main downtown square and ferry terminal. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops and scooter rental. Rooms are nicely appointed and authentic touches. Balcony to enjoy sunrise and continental breakfast (delivered to room included in price). We booked a garden view but were told at check in that our room was not available because another couple had extended their stay. Street view was a little noisy in the morning. Recommend garden view if possible but street is tolerable for a short stay.

We loved being close to town, walking to many restaurants, and just a half a block to enjoy the waterfront. We had some trouble with the refrigerator that was finally resolved, however we had to unplug it at night because it made so much noise. We asked to have black-out curtains put up since we couldn't sleep with the street lamp lighting up our room. It took several requests before someone finally put up a bedspread to block out some of the light. On the third day we finally had black-out curtains put up. Wish we had a table and a couple chairs in the room...there were bar stools and a small counter to have meals. Maria was great...our room was cleaned each day and we really enjoyed her towel sculptures...a true artist. All in all an enjoyable time.

The hotel is located on a side street 1/2 block from the ocean on the north side of town. There's a lush courtyard with seating for guests. Our room had balconies overlooking the street on one side and a small covered area on the courtyard side. We liked sitting on the street side, where there was a minor amount of daily activity as well as the quiet of the courtyard side. The hotel seems to appeal to adults instead of families, and guests occasially gather in the courtyard to chat. A guest told us that an ex-govenor lived in the attached home on one side, with windows overlooking the courtyard. The street was more open and up-scale than some other San Miguel neighborhoods. We loved walking around town and to the ocean every evening, beer in hand, to watch the sunset. We rented a scooter and got everywhere we wanted to go on the island and we didn't miss being on the ocean, the convenience of walking around town really made up for it. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and having a little kitchen is really nice (although the refrigerator was a little noisy). The best restaurant in town is a few blocks away on 5th, "Kinta"; excellent cuisine and decor at reasonable prices.

Went to Cozumel for diving, this place was perfect For us.

The staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful in every aspect of our trip.

The hotel is on a quiet street but within walking distance to square, restaurants, shops. We had a studio with kitchen so stocked up at the Chadraui grocery store. We had a cute balcony overlooking the street but I would recommend asking for a room not next to street as the street light was very bright shining into our room all night. The staff are very friendly and will ask what time you would like them to bring you coffee, juice, and breakfast up to your room. The room was very big with even a separate sitting area with table. It not even a half a block from the main street next to the water to watch the sunset. I will stay here again next time. So much better than those all inclusive places. All it needs is a pool.
