Excellent location, the staff is the best there is. The included breakfast is fantastic and they have the cleanest hotel in town. Can't wait to get back!

We have stayed here twice a year for the last 5 years. It is clean, staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Especially Santa's omelettes and Heimies smile. We have stayed at three other places but since finding Casa Mexicans we haven't stayed anywhere else.

had a great stay, awsome breakfast every morning. Clean confortable hotel and room. Great staff and location, would return to this hotel.

Love this Hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to everything.

We have always been pleased with the location, cleanliness, staff, and facilities. That is why we continue to return her year after year. Having stayed here prior we are pretty familiar with the hotel. We have always stayed on the 5th floor oceanfront. Each year we have booked well in advance (3-5 months) and have requested a fifth floor room. A response from the hotel staff has always been quick and affirmative of our request. Upon arrival this year we were told the room we had requested was not available and that no room was ready. I explained that we had booked the room several months in advance and even provided a copy of my correspondence with the hotel. Also mentioned that our arrival time this year was the same as the two previous years and that we had always been able to get into a room upon arrival. She then said that a room had become available. The room was on the 4th floor rather than the 5th floor I had requested. These rooms have a solid wall on one side of the balcony and do not offer the panoramic view of the 5th floor rooms. The room itself is basically the same. It had been a long day of travel and we were told nothing on the 5th floor would become available so we settled for the 4th floor room. Not a big deal but not what I would expect for a returning customer who had made the reservation and room request several months in advance.

Love the hotel, will stay there again. Walking to town is easy. The staff is great, easy check in and out. Clean clean clean. Great view with a small garden.

Very nice to be downtown in the middle of everything.

We have been coming to Casa Mexicana for many years for the Carnival/Fat Tuesday parade. The view of the parade from the 1st floor balcony has always been a treat. This year was different as management allowed a group 20 people to rope off a section on the front wall overlooking the parade. This has never been allowed in the past and many of the returning guests, 10 to 15 people were left to try and find a seat elsewhere. We have decided along with several other couples that we will not return after all the many years we have been returning to this hotel. The hotels decision to allow this group to save seats and to hell with the returning guests will have its consequences.

The WiFi was a little slow but reliable and usable in almost all areas of the hotel. The breakfast was great, a great perk, and helped kickstart the day. The in-room safe was a great perk. Take a picture of your passport, ID, custom forms, etc. and then lock them up until you leave. Best advice I ever received! You will be sorry if these are stolen. I traveled with a cold going in so take this into consideration. A water / mildew / mold smell hits you as the sliding doors open to the escalator. The smell is everywhere to a small extent even in the room. I eventually got used to it in the hotel and room. I still detected it on the escalator. I would have to check another hotel to see if this is not standard in a hot, humid environment. If you are sensitive to this I would stay elsewhere.

We always stay at Casa Mexicana. You'll not find a cleaner Hotel with a more attentive staff. This was our 7th stay with them can't wait to visit next year.

Concierge was very helpful on beaches and restaurant choices. Nice to sit on the pool deck at night and see the lights. Also nice guitar music there.

Staff is fantastic, room is clean. Super convenient location. Breakfast is top notch! I would only advise that the pool is not huge/resort-like, but if hanging by the pool isn't a deal breaker, this is the spot for you! Would DEFINATELY stay there again and/or recommend to a friend!!!

Stayed for 7 nights in Jan 2017 while diving with Aldora (which is a great operation). Hotel and rooms are very clean (as is CZM). Great location close to cheap eats or the tourist trade. Only 1/2 block to the Aldora shop, and 2 blocks to Aldora pier. Only drawback is if you have an adjoining room realize that a door is NOT a wall and you and your neighbor will hear EVERYTHING going on in the adjacent room. Having said that the city view room we had (ours was second floor and south facing) are otherwise quiet. The balcony was great and an excellent place to dry gear. The main common area and plunge pool off the lobby were a great place to relax and watch the world (and the ocean) go by. Breakfast was fabulous other than it would have been nice if it had started at 6:45 instead of 7 as we needed to be on the dive boat at 7:30 and breakfast was always a rush. Hopefully we will be back at CZM next year and if so we will gladly stay at Casa Mexicana.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was tasty and convenient. The location is perfect.

Amazing is all I can say!!! The hotel is beautiful, breakfasts are excellent and the view is gorgeous

Been staying there for years; always a Very Good experience. Staff is especially friendly. They make you feel welcome and like you are at home.

I travel to Cozumel typically twice a year and have been lucky to stay at places with wonderful staff that make me want to return. During my recent trip I knew it was going to be crazy hot so I wanted a place with a pool and this hotel was recommended by diving friends. And the facilities lived up. Nice location in the heart of waterfront Cozumel, clean rooms, showers with good water pressure (which can be hit or miss on the island) and a nice buffet breakfast. Also a nice pool with a balcony overlooking the water, with a bar next to it. But the front desk staff seemed incredibly impersonal, which is the exact opposite of what I have come to value about visiting Cozumel. It was unfortunate and left me disappointed. Here was what became a typical exchange: "Hi, can I get a towel for the pool?" 'yes if you leave your ID with us' "Sorry but I've already come down from my room, how about my room key" 'No, it must be your ID' "OK, but it's my only room key and the pool closes in twenty minutes and I would certainly need to return to you in order to access my room" 'No' And this isn't like many places in Europe that demand to hold your passport when you check in. I would not have relinquished my passport to these folks for any reason, let alone for the use of a towel. Just one incident that highlights what I felt like was the typical customer service I received by the front desk staff.

If you are looking for a nice, reasonably priced hotel close to central San Miguel, I highly recommend Casa Mexicana. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast buffet is excellent. While the pool is small, it is a great way to cool off after your day's adventure. There are many terrific restaurants within walking distance that makes this a great place to stay.

Welcoming, profecional, and caring staff. Rooms clean and very comfortable. The only issue is that they close the pool at 9 pm. Wonderful buffet breakfast included. I will consider staying here again in a heart beat. Wonderful experience.

The hotel is wonderful. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, markets and the water. The staff is courteous and friendly and the rates are very reasonable, however I would never book from Orbitz again. Because of a death in the family we had to leave six days early and they told us there was no refund for those days because that was what the hotel policy was. When we talked to the hotel people at the desk, the owner came out and gave us a voucher to use there for those six days!!! We were so pleased. The hotel is wonderful, Orbitz is not!!!
