I purchased an ocean view, but when we got to our room we could only see a very SMALL portion of the ocean. We were on the third floor on the North end of the hotel, and there was a high wall on each side of the patio you could not look over. In front was two cruise ships which blocked most of the ocean, and some days just about a block north was another ship which left us with almost no ocean to see. I requested to be moved to a higher floor, but was told the hotel was full and couldn't accommodate us. I now know there are usually cruise ships EVERY DAY in front of the hotel, which I didn't know before. It was extremely windy the day we left which was the only day there were no ships. The hotel was close to most everything , which was a plus. The only reason we stayed there was to watch the ocean, which we do on every vacation we take. I should have taken more time researching when I looked for a place to stay. We live in Indiana and love being around the water, so it was disappointing not to get a full ocean view. The employees were extremely nice and did a great job of making us feel comfortable. The breakfast was well stocked and all the waiters did a great job. We really do love a mexican omelets, so imagine our surprise to find there were no jalapenos anywhere to be found. We actually only found one place where they served fresh jalapenos, the rest were canned and were not very hot!

This was my 3rd stay at Casa Mexicana and it is always like coming home. I see familiar smiling faces that call me by name during my stay and are always willing to help however possible. The breakfast is always delicious and plentiful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cozumel.

The trip was centered around diving in Cozumel. Myself and a dive friend reserved a room with two beds. Upon arrival, the hotel put us in a room with one bed. Upon questioning that decision, they could not find an answer since there were supposedly no other rooms available. Finally, they decided to bring in a small extra bed in a room with a king bed. That was not exceptable since that left no room to move about the room. I finally had to go to the manager who eventually fixed the situation by moving us to another room. Upon arrival, the hotel uses an old system to get a copy of your credit card in case of additional expenses. When you leave, they say they will give you the credit card paperwork so that there will not be a easily accessible copy of your credit card floating around. When leaving, I asked for the paper copy of my credit card so I could destroy it. To my suprise, that paper copy or my paper reservation could not be located anywhere. That means that there is a paper copy of my credit card floating around the hotel somewhere with no controls. That also means I will now cancel that credit card and get another. Besides the issues with the front desk check in and check out, the rest of the stay was very nice. The morning breakfast staff were superior and the housekeeping staff were first class.

All was excellent !!! I would suggest to keep the room doors from making so much noise. When closing to install rubber strip top to bottom or these round bumpers. Requires 3. A hole is drilled and the arrow point of it goes in the hole to hold in place. As a maintainence in the hospitality business i know.

Casa Mexicana is always clean, friendly and of course great downtown location for restaurants and shopping. The small pool is now heated. Only drawback was the WiFi. Could not get to web pages 80% of the time. Tried a couple times a day but always ended up using my LTE

Not happy about anything sorry, not happy , and you keep insisting I do a review I revise my review when I don't really want to because I am not happy about the booking or the fly

We thought that this venue was more for the older folks . The room was very clean and wait staff was great.

Love that it’s walking distance to downtown! Also love watching the ships come in. Perfect spot!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, did everything they could to accomodate our group. They made us feel like they were truly glad we were staying with them. The food was excellent, their pool was great for soaking, and their location is perfect.

Great location for shopping and views but can’t swim in the ocean right at the hotel.
