Hampton Inn Quakertown

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn Quakertown probably 15 times in the last 5 years. The company I work for is headquartered nearby, and it's typically the economical option. That said, it's the only good part about this hotel. With our corporate rate it's only $91 per night, which is twice what anyone should pay to stay here. The rooms are generally clean in the sense they've been vacuumed and the bedding/towels are clean. That said, this hotel used to cater to a smoking clientele, and half the rooms are covered in smoke residue. The walls are yellowed with it, as well as the alarms and sprinklers within the rooms. Not to mention, the perpetual smell of deodorizer they use to try and mask the smell of stale cigarettes. Now, if you're addicted to nicotine this may not bother you. For the vast majority of us, it's downright annoying and frustrating to be in a room where you're clothing develops a stench after a day hanging in the closet. The hotel underwent a renovation in the lobby and open guest areas in 2014. That all is updated and looks great. The rooms however, have not been updated. As I mentioned before, the smoke residue is prevalent in many of the rooms, and in their larger rooms, you're still stuck with a 27" TV approximately 16' away from the bed. You're better off using your tablet/phone and Netflix. I travel all over for business, and most modern hotels have at least a 32", and most Hilton brands have a 42" TV. Why is this archaic Hampton so far behind the times? It's right off the turnpike, so that's a plus. It's a few miles from decent food, or shopping, or entertainment. If you need close access to the turnpike, stay at the Spring Hill Marriott across the street. It's only a couple years old and it's much nicer. The only reason I stay here is because I'm an Honors member and I don't like to lose out on points.

In area to visit family, my husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Room was clean. Several of the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful but others just didn’t seem to care. The coffee in the morning was seldom fresh, the breakfast selection was the worst we have ever experienced at a Hampton Inn. It was supposed to be open at 6:00 AM but on our last morning it was never available until after we had to leave for the airport at 7:15 AM. Plenty of other hotels to choose from in the area and this Hilton Honors member won’t be staying at this location in the future.

Stopped here on the way to the casino, one night stay. I appreciate that they held our room because a blizzard caused the hotel to become overbooked. We arrived late at night, but still got a great room with 2 queens. No issues at checking and the room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was free, but not exactly great. Some kind of egg white patty, meat patty and cold french bread sticks. It was ok, and enough to get us down the road. No issues on the bill, quick and easy check out. A very clean and comfortable stay considering that the hotel must have been running at overfull capacity.

Hotel room was clean. Breakfast was horrible. The staff was very friendly. But not worth $153 I paid by calling reservations because when the hotel gave me my receipt the cost should have been $112. I am a Hilton honors member and charges an extra $41. Never again.

The staff is great and they have their act together. They always find a way to get the rooms I enjoy staying in. They are quick and effective. It's a no brainier, I can concentrate on the things I have to get done and not worry about if things are going to be right.

My family recently had a family event in which several people came from out of town. We had the pleasure of working with Sarka, not only on the block of rooms but also to set up a brunch for the following day. Sarka was incredible to work with - she took care of every detail and made the process a pleasure. For the brunch, we asked for coffee service in the conference room but Sarka encouraged us to have our guests enjoy the complimentary coffee in the lobby. We didn't want our guests to congest and drain the lobby coffee, so she was able to provide this at a nominal cost. She also took care of table cloths, arrangement of tables, and every detail of the brunch. The caterer who came in was also treated very professionally as she brought the food in. More importantly than any of this was the level of attention and customer service. Sarka was in touch regularly to ensure everything was in order, she was attentive and present when we had questions and the team there made the entire experience completely problem-free. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area, setting up an event or just need to get away for a night. If you have the opportunity to work with Sarka, I am confident that you will have a worry free time.

Our family had a great time! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was amazing!! We will be returning soon! This trip has turned Hampton Inn to be our first choice of hotels when traveling.

Nice location off the PA Turnpike. Seems to have some issues fulfilling brand standards. Needs to retrain staff on the check-in process and guest service relations. Nice room accommodations with a loud barking dog next door. Breakfast items available are very slim pickings. No cookies available.

We have stayed at this Hampton Inn for a number of years as we visit family in the area. This experience is not one that we have encountered previously. The front desk had an attitude when I had called previously and stated that we may check in a day earlier due to a pending storm. When we arrived, she seemed irritated that I did not confirm the reservation, and sort of gave me a lecture that I should always make a reservation whether I use it or not. The chair in the room was broken, maintenance never came so we switched out when housekeeping was making up the room across the hall. Television kept losing signal, also internet. Water temperature was not hot, cool. Refrigerator making noises so that we had to unplug at night to sleep. On and on..... The one bright spot as usual is the breakfast lady! She is pleasant, helpful, friendly and genuinely seems to care and like her job.

This is a pretty nice hotel, minus a few things. It was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and it was clean. It would be nice if the pool was heated, if the pool and spa area were made more pleasing to the eye and in the room itself, a new couch that does not sink in the middle and isn't torn. Also, I really wish there had been a small table and chairs for us to sit and eat, have coffee, etc...
