My only complaint about this hotel is that I had to wait forever for a shuttle to bring me to the hotel.

Very nice. Good location and the staff was awesome and informative

Very helpful staff, clean rooms, I woulds stay here again

Very clean, very nice, very comfortable - no airport noise either!

Family and I stayed for one Friday night to spend a little time in the city on the way to other things for the weekend. First: the good. Everything that works well with this chain works well here. The rooms are newly remodeled and well appointed. The bathroom was immaculate. The breakfast is solid. The staff is friendly and helpful. Amanda at the front desk did an amazing job of helping me sort out a problem with a prepaid reservation (through the website on which you're reading this review) while working alone, helping about a half dozen other customers at the same time. Kudos to her. Then: the not awesome. Despite what the website says, this hotel is *not* two blocks from Midway Airport. It is at least half a mile from the fence on the perimeter edge of the airport property, and more than a mile from the door you exit with your luggage. It is in a very pedestrian-unfriendly stretch of Cicero Avenue, so you won't be walking anywhere. The free shuttle serves all of the hotels in the cluster, so be prepared to wait in an exhaust-choked holding area or pay 10 bucks for a cab. The shuttle does not, as the website advertises, take you to the CTA. It takes you to the airport, where you can walk a good distance through the baggage claim and garage to get to the CTA. The hotel's walls are paper thin. You can hear every door closing nearby, the toilet flushing next door, the elevator and the footsteps of fellow guests. This was probably worse for us because we were right next to the elevator. If you happen to be staying without a car and thirst for an adult beverage in your room, be prepared and bring your own, or hike a scary mile or so in the other direction to Wal-Mart. If you're looking to save a few bucks over hotels downtown and use this as your base to explore the city for multiple trips, spend the extra few bucks instead. If proximity to the airport is your number one goal and you travel with earplugs, this one will suit you just fine.

Overall, the experience was good. However, we received a surprise at check in that we were assessed a fee to park our car at the hotel. There is no information on the hotel's site that indicates there will be a charge to park one's car at the hotel. Since the customer has paid to stay at the hotel, there should not be an extra charge for parking one's car. Information regarding the parking charge should be posted on the hotel's site.

We stayed here while visiting our nephews at college. It was close to the airport and L station and had a free shuttle to and from. We took advantage of the shuttle and saved on parking costs dowtown.

shuttle to airport and the "L" very convenient. Went to US Cellular Field and Wrigley Field. It took about 30 minutes to get to each.

The hotel was very close to the airport, which was a good plus for us and the staff were very helpful.

I was in town for family business. We booked the hotel at the last minute. I was very glad to have good quality with out the over the head cost and to also be close to the airport. The hotel is 5 minutes from MDW airport and in a complex of 4 other hotels. I had a room with double beds. The beds were comfortable altho the top padding slides too freely.. The free wi-fi was a welcomed surprise. The soaps are nice, the breakfast was sufficient. The personnel were friendly. The only down side was the 12.50 per day parking voucher that i was charged for. All in all this hotel made for a very pleasant stay.

Midway airport is a great airport to fly into and the Hampton Inn is very close to the airport. Call the hotel for your pickup while you await your bags. A very well kept hotel with restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, which is especially helpful in the cold Chocago weather

This hotel was great! Room was really clean, and TGI Fridays delivers! I would definitely reccomend this hotel to everyone!

This hotel is located in a group of Midway Airport hotels. It's very easy to get to the airport from here and we didn't have any problems with noise. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was nice for something you get for free. There was even a waffle maker. The complementary coffee in the lobby was a lot better then the coffee in the room so after the first morning I just went downstairs when I needed it. They did change our sheets and towels out even though we didn't leave the card out saying we wanted them to. The bed was big and comfortable. There was a shuttle that will transport you to the airport where you can walk over to the train station and get to anywhere you want in the city. There is also a bus stop right outside should you not want to wait. Buy a day, 3 day, 7 day pass for the bus. You'll get your moneys worth. There was never a need for a car.

I was there to drop of my child at Midway. Stayed one night. The airconditioner was broken 78 degrees in the room. Had to convince the staff that it was broken before they fixed. Then the toilet overflowed. They responded to the toilet fairly quickly and offered to credit my night. Don't know if it will happen though....

My business was just south of town so the airport/rental car connections were great. For the 2 added vacation days, the car was not needed because of great connections with the shuttle/trains at airport. I would choose this way to visit Chicago again..no need for a car at all!

I went out to Chicago to see a Cubs games and a concert at Soldier Field. I hotel downtown would have been more convenient. The Hampton is a hood place for the money, but it took at least a 35 minute train ride to get anywhere good. The Willis Tower is cool, but you spend a lot of time in several lines. Wrigley Field and Soldier Field are both awesome. Chicago is a pretty nice city. Reasonable prices and friendly people.

Great location, shuttle to airports with mass transit to the City. Retaurants local within walking.

Extremely helpful staff, comfortable rooms very close to Midway Airport. Shuttle works 24 hours.

Very convenient location, free shuttle from airport, free internet access in business room a plus. Only negative, sound proofing of room was not satisfactory. We had a room with an adjoining door and don't know if that caused the problem, but when the neighbors came into their room, we could hear every sound they made -- t.v., conversation, use of the bathroom etc. When they weren't in the room, everything was great!
