In no particular order: we didn't have enough bath towels; the elevator was extremely slow; we got ripped off at breakfast and paid $70 for a very lame breakfast; the shower head was like a fire hose; the shower drain was clogged and we had to wade in six inches of water every time we showered; the shower leaked so we had to mop up pools of water off the bathroom floor; the service staff never asked once how our stay was or if we needed anything, even after being approached by us with various questions; the walls are paper thin so we were all awakened at 3am by our neighbor's phone call, which we all heard clear as day.

The service was warm and quick as we were welcomed by Michael at the front desk with some house-made chocolate chip cookies at check-in. The process took under 5 minutes. He even called us after we got into our room just to be sure we were satisfied with the room. The bed was cozy and pretty comfortable. The room was alright as it was on the first floor. The wifi and parking were all free. However, we noticed and wondered how the carpet did not live up with the quality of Hilton. There were many stains and dirty-looking spots on the carpet that can be visually noticed with naked eyes. And the answer arrived pretty quickly. When we were in our room completely, there was a group of people trying to enter the room. They stood there in about 3 or 4 minutes. They even had the door key to open and nearly opened the door. We were pretty anxious and scared since they would have been able to enter the room if we had not locked the door with the door security guard. We called the reception right after they left and found out that was probably the sales team trying to show the room to their potential guests. However, not only that, the next morning, the door was knocked twice, about half to full hour between each. I did not know who had knocked on the door, but we were very dissatisfied with the disturbances.

We didn’t have enough hot water in our room to take a comfortable shower. The listing said there was a hot tub and there was not. The pool was so murky you couldn’t see the bottom. Our room was basically in the lobby... you could hear everything. The mgmnt didn’t do enough when they were told we had no hot water. The bed was clean, but there were stains all over the floor in the room. Overall it just felt like surface washes, but dirty underneath.

The hotel was nice and clean the receptionist was friendly and polite

Great hotel. Highly recommended. No hot tub. Rooms are wonderful.

The hotel staff were very warm and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed and even extended our check out time. I would definitely stay here again

was so amazed by the hotel. clean and big space! would definitely stay here again when i go to chicago!

The location was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The Doubletree tradition of warm chocolate chip cookie is always heartwarming. The only inconvenience was the bathroom room is self closing so had to place the small round side table to hold it open. Otherwise, I would highly recommend and would stay at this hotel again.

Lovely and helpful staff, who were knowledgeable about the area. Shuttle buses ran to two nearby malls and to O'Hare Airport, which is a huge plus because cabs are very expensive. Although I did not eat at the hotel, it is a plus that two restaurants were available, not to mention that there is a Denny's across the parking. Getting something to eat could prove to be a problem otherwise, but this situation works well if you are without a car, as I was. The common rooms and the dining rooms have been updated and are inviting, not so my room though. It is time for a renovation of the bedrooms.

First of all you get warm chocolate chip cookies when you sign in. I must confess I took three cookies for my roommates but I never gave them to them. Why? Because we are vegan and I didn't want to interrupt the dietary routine. Ok, I eventually gave them the cookies....Second, the hotel is great, close to O'Hare and free parking. It is my "go to" spot when I am in Chicago because it is so convenient.

I arrived at late but person in a front desk was very kind. The room was clean and bathroom was petty good. I recommend you to stay this hotel.

very good FOOD AT THE HOTEL, ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND THEY SMELLED FRESH.

The staff was helpful, polite, and accommodating. The services I used were helpful and efficient. I would definitely stay here again.

I was on a business trip and didn't have much time to enjoy the hotel. Pretty much just slept for a couple of hours before moving on. Everyone I did encounter in my short time there was pleasant and helpful.

My boyfriend and I live in downtown Chicago, but stayed out at the Doubletree for a wedding we were attending. The hotel was great for the wedding crowd... it was affordable and accomodating.

The room I stayed in was clean however it did not match the photo or description of the room on their site; this is a classic case of bait and switch-- though in some cases when I have complained about similar circumstances, other establishments have reduced the cost or provided an upgrade, I simply didn't want to waste my time and energy any further. If an establishment that presents itself as reputable uses deceptive practices to procure our patronage, then my complaint would only elevate into an unwinnable debate. Thank you for the opportunity to express my frustration at having wasted my hard earned money. Doubletree (as it turns out) should be more aptly named Double-cross.

The bed was very comforable. Flying bugs in the bathroom. The front desk said that they were unable to check my fight for me, to use the computer in the business lounge. Two computers in the business lounge weren't working and the other one was being used. The dining area was great. Complimentary transportation to the airport was very convenient.

It was great.

My husband and I stayed at the Doubletree while were visiting my family over Christmas. It was an excellent value for money. The level of service, amenities and care we received were very good, in addition to the hotel's proximity to O'Hare. We were greeted with a friendly smile and a warm cookie when we checked in, and were given a clean, quiet room with a comfy bed. One sidenote: the gym is beautiful with nice equipment, though you can't use the treadmills or elliptical if you are tall because of the ceiling height. Other than that, the experience was perfectly enjoyable.
