Rooms were beautiful, with all hard-wood flooring - very spacious with comfortable beds! However, elevator is tiny and can barely fit a luggage cart, and light in the bathroom is on a short timer - you'll be in the dark shortly into your shower. Hotel staff is amazing - the hotel hadn't turned on ...
I stayed here because I was attending a conference at the hotel across the street. I had a great experience at this hotel. The location was walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, a Starbucks and the Capitol Building. The staff were ALL very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The room ...
Lovely old world hotel operating out of its function room . So no food , bar etc until renovations complete. They should be more open about this and decrease prices. But what is functioning is delightful. Rooms large and comfortable
We stayed at the Capitol Skyline for a quick overnight to the city to attend a concert at The Anthem. We weren't expecting elegance at this price point, but were still a little dismayed by the outside appearance - it's pretty dated. Once in the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised. The decor was modern, ...
Great location to stay in if your main goal is to see the Smithsonians, Monuments, and the Government Buildings e.g. Capitol. Getting to the hotel from Reagan Airport is really easy. There are a few dining options around the area but if you want to save on that you'll have to venture a little further ...
We spent six days at the Capitol Hilton during a very cold blast of winter 2018. At first our room was cold and I slept with a winter coat over me. We complained and hotel staff worked on the problem. Then the room was either too hot or too cold. We finally managed to find a thermostat setting that ...
Everyone was super helpful. It was pretty clean but it had its quirks like a smelly fridge and they didn't refill our k-cups + coffee cups. The location is unbeatable if you want to be near the White House, Washington Monument, etc. It was also very safe and quiet especially for an older city hotel. ...
I arrived around 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night. A gentleman who initially appeared to be the bellman started to check me in. I requested a different bedding configuration than was being offered and he had to go and get someone else. It turned out that they didn't have the bed setup that I was looking for and I don't blame them for that. Orbitz had requested an incorrect bed configuration. The best they could give me was a queen with a pullout couch, which was fine. I checked into the room and couldn't find pillows for the pullout couch. I went downstairs to request pillows which I wasn't too happy about after traveling all day. They couldn't find any pillows and I was offered two rolled up blankets as pillows! I firmly declined that option and suggested that they may want to look a little harder for pillows and I went back upstairs. Within ten minutes they delivered real pillows to the room. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is well-located with a Metro stop about five minutes away. I THINK it was north Farragut. (It was one of the Farraguts.) There is a full espresso bar in the lobby (no coffee in the room) and they offered complimentary coffee for guests. I saw two nice bikes in the lobby which I believe were for complimentary use by guests. An overall good experience. Nothing spectacular but clean, comfortable and very serviceable.
It would be nice to give a continental breakfast. The lounge was a good place to unwind after a long day
Hotel was exceptional from the time we checked in til the time we checked out. Very clean and the staff was very helpful.
Great visit to DC even in the rain!! Visited the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday night where a choir group sang for us. Amazing!!❤️
