There are many positive to State Plaza Hotel starting with price, location, and wonderful staff. The suite rooms are very comfortable and have all the basic amenities one would expect with a bit more room to stretch out in comfort. The building itself is a bit old and dated, but the interior design updates compensate for that fairly well. Still the overall flow of the hotel and access to the various amenities can feel a bit cramped. Location, price, room size, and staff make it worth a stay.

Everything was pleasantly surprising. Everyone was polite and very catering. Huge seperate kitchen. Large comfortable room and step-in closet. Beautiful bathroom. Very slow elevator is my one and only (trivial) complaint. I highly reccomend.

Excellent value for money and close to everything you need to see!

Location is great. Close to subway station, Whole Foods, CVS. Love this hotel.

Located near a homeless tent city but besides that this was a great hotel. Location was good, a bit away from stuff but a quick walk to the subway and you are minutes from things. Room was great size and great amenities like bottled water delivered for free in evenings. Bed was a bit uncomfortable though but having a kitchen and extra room for getting ready in made up for that. Will recommend hotel to others

Wonderful older building, but nicely updated and spotlessly clean. Location is perfect for walking to the Mall, GWU and Kennedy Center.

Nice location. We had one of the nicest rooms that was very spacious but could hear clearly the elevator that was 2 doors down. Room needed upgrading on coffee pot, kitchen lighting, size of tv, tv mount should be a multi positioning mount so glare from window can be eliminated, better spoons for cereal, extra blankets for cold nites

Great Hotel. The building is old; however, the room and bathroom do not have an old style and have clearly been remodeled. I booked at standard room with a king size bed. The room is very spacious and has a kitchen in a separate room with a full size fridge and a 2-people dinning table. I have very high standards for cleanliness and this hotel has met them. The check-in process was quick and professional .

This was a nice find. Roomy, comfortable, convenient, and so helpful. I will be back!

great location -- can walk down to Lincoln and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall - as well as Korean and many others -- next door to CVS pharmacy for any emergency items that may not have been packed -- staff was very forthcoming -- always available -- 24-7 -- will go back..

Great location, friendly staff, food from room service was amazing! Our only complaint was that our air conditioner was not functioning properly and it gave the room a "damp" feeling. We didn't sleep well at night but were to tired from our sightseeing to complain. I'm sure they would have addressed the issue, it wasn't terrible but not being able to control the room temperature was frustrating.

This was a great hotel to stay at! We loved the spacious rooms and mini kitchens! It was all within walking distance of our sight seeing and at a GREAT price!
