I had hoped that we would be able to walk to the Aquarium, but my husband had surgery on his leg and decided he was not able to walk the short distance so we drove after all. But it was still not too bad a drive, just had to pay to park. Over all, we enjoyed our stay. The staff recommended a restaurant nearby that was very good and reasonable. The breakfast in the hotel was OK, although the biscuits were a little hard, but the cinnamon rolls were excellent. I had chosen a suite, hoping to have two TV's in the room, but there was only one, that was disappointment. Also, the toilet tissue was very thin.

Nice facility and cordial staff. A short walk is required to reach downtown but unlike the closer-in hotels I looked at, this one has self-parking (vs. pricey mandatory valet) and a free breakfast. Was impressed that Hotel Manager circulated breakfast area, introducing herself to guests and taking a sincere interest in what feedback we had to offer about our stay.

Location is far enough from downtown that its difficult to walk from there, especially when crossing interstate ramp traffic. Shuttle from hotel would help, but had to walk to downtown shuttle. Staff was great, breakfast was ok and room wasn't as clean as we would've liked.

I felt like the hotel was in need of some improvements. I stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels across the country regularly and found this one to need some TLC. The carpet was worn, the pillows needed replacing, and the room furniture showed more wear than I would have wanted to see. I am not a hotel snob by any means and can tolerate lots of imperfections. Would I stay here again, probably. But does it need some loving, absolutely. Staff was attentive, but facility needs some attention.

This was a very convenient location. The price was great and the stay was a good experience. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel was conveniently located and comfortable. The room could have been a bit cleaner - but overall it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Staying here was a great choice and will do it again. Spent New Years here, great location, very short drive from downtown. All staff were very polite, front desk was very helpful and kind, clean rooms, great breakfast bar, complimentary coffee in the lobby, etc. Only issue was they gave us a bill for parking which we were not aware of. The charge was not much money but unexpected. Otherwise, great experience!

Hotel was nice but right off interstate and nothing in walking distance. It was not near anything practical or of cultural, historical and of entertainment value such as the aquarium, Lookouts baseball, IMAX, or restaurants. The staff was friendly and room was nice, but NOT a good location at all, and spent entirely too much time in taxis!

Clean and convenience location. Easy access from interstate

We arrived two hours after check-in was scheduled, but our room wasn't ready. The staff member said it would only be a 10-15 minute wait. I was really tired and grumpy, so this didn't make me the happiest. For our trouble, we didn't have to pay for parking, which made me feel better. When a long line was formed while we were waiting, the staff member made sure the other guests knew we were here first and took care of us right away. This hotel is located in downtown, so we were really close to the Terminal Brewhouse, which was a really good bar with really good food. Their craft beer was wonderful. We also went to the Hair of the Dog which has really great prices on their alcohol, all the locals seemed to love this place. Just some suggestions if you were looking for a brewery or place to drink. Parking was free at the Terminal Brewhouse, but we paid $5 to park near the Hair of the Dog. $5 isn't too bad and you could pay with your debit card (FYI). We stayed in a king bed suite. The bed was super comfortable, I had no problems sleeping. I picked this hotel because it is pet free. No dog barking at 6am to wake me up (which I have experienced at hotels that are pet friendly). Perfect night of sleep. The free breakfast was pretty good. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, cinnamon rolls, pancakes (pancake machine), and yogurt. Typical hotel breakfast. It was always fresh and the staff kept it stocked as fast as possible.

I chose this hotel based on price, and was surprised at the quality (in a good way). Very clean rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast, very comfortable rooms. Good find.

I expected more from the reviews that I read. The hotel is not really close enough to comfortably walk to downtown attractions. Hot breakfast items were below average for a hotel buffet but they had a nice selection of fruit, cereal and yogurt. Staff were friendly. Nothing stands out as great and the only real negative was all the road traffic just outside the window.

The location is fantastic and you can reach most attractions pretty easily and fastly.

Room too small for 2 Queen beds. TV did not have channels they advertized. Overall not a bad hotel. Very clean.

Nice clean hotel, a good walk from downtown, but convenient to highway exits.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Chattanooga. The free city shuttle was only a few blocks from the hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Will stay here again.

It was a pleasant stay with a nice breakfast. Also very quiet.

This is an above average HI Express. Clean rooms, nice lobby, great location. Rates were a little high but I am sure its because it was a busy weekend. Kudos to the staff though. I was in town for a triathlon and they had already scheduled to open he breakfast area at 5am (instead of 7:30) on Sunday morning to accommodate the athletes.

Staff was friendly and facility was clean. However, it looked worn and in need of new paint and carpeting.

Based on the map, I believed that the hotel was on the waterfront. It is not. It is several blocks from where the restaurants are so that was disappointing, but the hotel was the cleanest I've ever been in!
