The Townsman: Secretariat Room

Designed for those who love classic comforts, the Secretariat Room on the third floor, and is mall-facing but no view of the mall, features antique woods, leather accents, houndstooth patterns and gold finishes that create a warm, Virginian retreat.

This distinctively designed room is situated in Townsman Hotel. It is unlike your typical hotel. That's why we call it the 'unhotel'. Poised just above or in the middle of Charlottesville's bustling and historical Downtown Mall or the walking mall packed with restaurants, bars, shops, and more. It is in between Mudhouse Coffee and Rockfish Brewing Company, with no staff and no front desk, which feels like a well-kept secret right in the center of all the action. Once you book with us, a personal code will be provided for access and all you have to do is show up. No check-in. No hassles.
