The iconic sign doesn't say ‘Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas Nevada’ for nothing. This city is a bustling, glittering hub of nightlife and is booming 24-hours a day! But it’s not all blackjack and cocktails in Las Vegas; Sin City is also home to some of the best fine-dining experiences in the United States and the biggest shopping mall in the state. It’s time to discover why this city in the Nevada desert is worth a visit!

What to See in Las Vegas

Get your lucky trinkets ready, because Las Vegas is the place to win big! Whether your game is blackjack, roulette, or just the addictive slot machines, spending time in Las Vegas’ best casinos is a must for any visitor. Check out the Aria at CityCenter, the Bellagio, Wynn Encore, and the MGM Grand for some of the most renowned casinos of the area. Remember, there are no clocks, and the night-life has no limits in Las Vegas. So, get ready for a good time!

All that excitement can work up a hunger and Las Vegas caters for the finest palates. The Bardot Brasserie at the Aria Resort offers up some classic French fine dining for locals and visitors alike. Expect some traditional French dishes like steak tartare, fresh shellfish platters, escargot, and duck a l’orange. The Heritage Steak at the Mirage, led by celebrity chef Tom Colicchio, presents an ethical and organic menu of hormone and antibiotic-free meat in the famous steakhouse. Everything – even non-beef lamb and octopus dishes – is cooked over wood-burning grills, similar to those used in Argentina. For a more budget-friendly option, the New York import Anchor Bar has been a huge hit since opening at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian as it invented the Buffalo style hot wing.

To satisfy the shopaholic in you, the best place to be is Nevada’s largest shopping mall, The Fashion Show. It houses more than 250 chain shops and department stores. Live runways shows kick off every hour from noon to 5pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Soak up a bit of Sin City’s history at the Mob Museum. While it’s officially known as the National Museum of Organised Crime & Law Enforcement, the museum is home to curated exhibits that tell the story of some of the most notorious mobsters in US history. Expect authentic FBI equipment, multimedia exhibits, and interviews with real-life gangsters and mob-related artifacts in this historical federal courthouse.

If, after all this walking, you want to take a cruise down the famous Strip, a rental car comes in handy. This 4.5 mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard is where the action is at. Take in the sights of the iconic casinos that are constantly being made bigger and better along The Strip, but have your camera at the ready!

If you’re looking to escape some of the glitz, glamor, hustle, and bustle of Las Vegas, get on the open road to the Grand Canyon. The four-hour drive will let you explore the stunning natural wonder that measures over a mile deep and is over five million years old. It’s well worth a trip.
