Very easy to get to and very accommodating to a large family. Great rooms and bathrooms were very pretty. The lock on the door was sometimes touchy and difficult to get to work. There needed to be more counter space in bathrooms and bedrooms for luggage and toiletries. Also more mirrors would be great for when multiple girls are getting ready (possibly in the bedrooms). The only unfortunate thing was the washer drain was froze from the cold weather (so we did not use laundry machines, although the maintenance did come fix it) and the thermostats didn’t seem to accommodate my family’s needs for the temperature in the house (very warm upstairs even after turning it down).

On the positive side, we found the home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom showers were great, the kitchen well-stocked with utensils, and the location very close to Route 93 and access to Boston. There was parking for three cars, and enough bedrooms for our multi-generational family. Stoneham offers cafes and restaurants within walking distance.However, there is considerable noise and light from the constant traffic along Montvale Ave. The upstairs bedrooms that face the avenue catch light from headlights and noise from accelerating engines all night, making sleep difficult. Our daughter had to buy a sound machine and extra sheets to put over the window in order to get any sleep. When we suggested to the host that opaque, noise-reducing curtains would help in those rooms, he said since we were visiting family “this wasn’t a surprise neighborhood situation.” There are two space heaters in the home. Since these pose a safety risk, we didn’t use them. If it was necessary to keep them on all night and day to prevent frozen pipes, we should have been told! As it was, the pipes in the kitchen froze and we lost water in that room.The furnishings are bare-boned, ceiling lighting only, so the feel is industrial, not cozy. We asked for bedside lamps to provide safety for folks needing to get out of bed in the dark. We hope the host makes some simple improvements, because his investment, and the comfort of his guests, are well worth it.

The house was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The only suggestions we have for the owners are as follows:The living room needs a lamp, the overhead lighting isn’t good for watching television. The bathrooms need bathmats and more towel bars to hang wet towels. The downstairs bedroom needs a wardrobe or somewhere to hang clothes. Maybe change the description of the 2 bathrooms plus 2 half baths, it’s misleading. The code to get into the front door didn’t work half the time.

Graduation weekend stay

With 6 adults and 2 little ones traveling for a loved one’s graduation we needed a house that will accommodate our large group so we decided to look at VRBO and this listing fit like a glove. Everyone had a place to rest their heads and chill out before the big event. The house is located perfectly with many amenities close by.

Stoneham House

This was a convenient pick for us, being only about 1.5 miles from other family members home. We didn't spend much time there but it was very comfortable. The weather got very cold for a few days, below freezing and we had no hot water upstairs. I contacted management and they had someone out within hours, ON A SUNDAY and started addressing the problem. I would stay here again.

This was a great stay! I was able to enjoy myself with friends and family for my 22nd birthday. House was beautiful, great parking, and awesome location where I was not worried about disturbing neighbors. Loved this stay very much and would do it again

Nice place

Nice property in a good location, spacious and clean. Stairs felt a little dangerous so something to keep in mind with small children or mobility issues. Ample parking. Thermostats can be adjusted which is nice, and both showers can run at the same time without running out of hot water.

Great accommodations!!

The home was beautiful and clean. When we had an issue with the shower maintenance came and fixed it within a half hour! Our family enjoyed the space and felt very comfortable there! The area was close to stores and the expressway making it easy to get what we needed and where we had to go! Highly recommend this place and rental company!

Family Funeral Lodging

Six of our family members stayed here overnight while attending a family funeral. It was affordable and served our needs better than a motel. The property was exactly as advertised. Location was convenient-- easy to find and access, close to our funeral. Check-in and out were convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Best place ever!

Clean, comfortable, maintenance is spot on and quick to respond no matter time of day. Everything you need for a great stay. We were 2 couples traveling with 2 young adult children and everyone had their own privacy. Location right off 93 South so made it quick n east to get to airport or downtown Boston.
