The property itself is not bad. The lobby of the hotel lends you to believe it’s a well kept hotel! However, it needs a better cleaning staff and better upkeep. The pool water has a funny smell and burned my daughter’s eyes so bad we had to run water on them in the shower. We watched the front desk staff come into the pool area and “test” the water by scooping up a handful of it and smelling it. The jets in the hot tub didn’t work and when we tried to turn them on a smelly, cloudy water shot out of them but nothing else. They also didn’t keep it stocked with towels. The room looked decent on entry but you could quickly see the cleaning flaws. The floor smelled musty as if water had been spilled and never cleaned up. The bathtub was dirty and the sheets were stained. We went to pull out the sofa bed and it had no sheets, pillows or blankets. After I called the front desk for them I was informed we had to come down to get them. My kids went down and they said they’d have housekeeping bring the pillows up. After 30 minutes of waiting and trying to call the front desk again, we had to go back down for them. Breakfast choices were typical hotel breakfast but stale. Bagels were hard on one side and soggy on the other. Cereal was stale and hard boiled eggs were dried out. Waffle maker didn’t work yet the mix to it and utensils were still sitting out dirty which made me question when the last time they had been cleaned.

This is probably one of the best Comfort Inn suites I’ve ever stayed at! The room was everything my son and I expected! Great staff & service!

There was a party our first night which made a lot of noise. The problem was fixed by the second night.

I paid for a suite. When I got there, water was leaking from the ceiling, the toilet was clogged, debris of the ceiling was on the bathroom floor. The room smelled like mold. I took a video for proof. I ended up in a room which cost less than I paid for.

There was a musty smell when you first enter the lobby.

Hotel had an odd smell, pool shut down due to dangerous conditions (health warning on door), not enough breakfast individual wrapped pastries for all guests, disappointing, especially when we paid over 200/night for these accommodations.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was dirty. Hotel had an odd odor. Inside the room fridge was not clean. Toilet seat was loose. Floors were filthy. Pool was under construction (which we were not made aware of during the booking process). Guests on the floor above us were very noisy throughout the night until early hours of the morning.

The rooms very good and clean but there is bad smil when you get in from the main door it is like mold

We come to St. Joes every Labor Day. We have stayed at this hotel every year for the past five-ish years. This year may have be our last. They aren’t keeping the maintenance on the rooms up (cracking walls and ceiling, dirty couches, mold in the tile cracks). And the rooms weren’t cleaned very well (someone else’s hair EVERYwhere over the floors, what I can only assume was pubic hair in the shower). And they allowed kids to run up and down the hallways on our floor and the one above us so we heard unchecked stampeding feet as early as 8am. The breakfast was still great. The staff was still pleasant and accommodating as always. And the quick drive to the beach is a plus.

Beds were comfortable. (Pull out couch bed was not.) Pool had poop everywhere in it. Trash did not get emptied. Breakfast was poor. Pastries were dry/tasted old, many staple items ran out and were not replenished. Wake up call was never given. If you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in for one night, it’s probably fine. Anything more, not really. Won’t return.

In town for a wedding and didn't have many choices near the venue. The hotel was just okay, but not worth the $200+ per night I paid. The room was partially cleaned, missed many details like the headboard, the TV and room mirror. The floor was clearly dirty in several areas. Check your charges...I prepaid months ago via Orbitz and yet was charged again even after I told the front desk at check in.

Clean and comfy. Don't let the location throw you.

Safe clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice extra.

Very comfortable experience. We visited South Bend when all the local hotels were booked solid. Nearby freeway ride

Hotel has a great location. Close to the highway and about 8 miles from a beautiful beach and cute little town. The only issue we had was the ac sounded like a washing machine on the spin cycle and the bed squeaked everytime you moved on the bed. Room was clean and spacious.

I really liked this hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. I will stay there again.

the hotel was easy to find.I found the check in personal friendly.I asked about dining accommodations and they were helpful. the morning breakfast was exceptional and the wait staff very friendly two outstanding!because of those people I will stay at that hotel again....

Nice, in very clean!!! It juz took us 15min, to get checked in, because the people ahead of us had a group with them it was a mess.. Overall it was a great get away from da kids.....

The hotel overall was ok. The interior definitely needs to be remodeled! The wallpaper was peeling off the walls everywhere. The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The staff was friendly, especially the breakfast staff. The lady in the breakfast area was just the nicest person ever. It was very busy but she just kept on smiling and keeping everything full. The food was okay for a complimentary breakfast. I would like to recommend wheat or whole grain options!
