Very clean inside and the grounds are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
coffee marker was dirty but everything else was ok
I stayed in the older wing so not quite as nice as the new wing but still clean and comfortable.
It was a bit out of the way but we were there for a wedding and it was very close to the wedding venue. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly...for the most part. We did have an experience in one of the cafes late at night. We had come from the wedding reception, gambled a little in the casino and then a group of us went to the cafe to visit and some to eat. The waiter was going to charge us a mandatory fee/gratuity for having more than 8 people (I think it was) even though not everyone planned on eating. We ended up working it out and not having to pay the gratuity. It was the only negative experience we had the entire stay. I even had questioned a charge on my bill after I had returned home. I was unable to speak to the front desk manager when I called so I left her a detailed message with my concern. When she returned my call, she too had to leave me a message. She clearly explained what the charge was for and if I had any other questions to please call her back. There was no need to call her as she had answered all of my questions with that 1 return call. If I ever have the need to stay in a hotel in Ferndale again, I will choose the Silver Reef.
Wonderful oasis in Washington. Friendly staff. Great food superb room. Best night sleep I have had in a long time. Well done silver reef!
Great experience - friendly staff, clean rooms, we stayed in the new area. Restaurants were great. We had a great trip - would recommend staying here
My wife and I were only there for a quick nights stay. We arrived late, had dinner, gambled for a few minutes then retired. We left early the next morning.
Starting with the directions on the casino website, they routed us through downtown ferndale and two or three left turns using exit 262 on north I-5. Come to find out a much easier exit to use was 260, the Slater road exit that goes straight through to the casino. We don't use gps so, we followed the hotel directions from the website. When we arrived, while checking in and after we got to the room, the fire/smoke alarms were going on and off intermittently for over an hour. No fridge, no microwave in the room. Went to get some ice, and the third floor ice machine was broken. Had to go down to the second floor to get ice. The shower head half sprayed the water out like it should , but most of the water just poured out of the shower head like water from a spout straight down. Tried to reposition it, change settings, etc. no joy. Food and gaming experience was great. Plenty of places to eat and lots of slots to play. Although, once I waited for over 10 minutes to receive assistance with a machine that jammed with my twenty dollar bill. It was like they didn't even see the light on at the top of the machine. I finally just grabbed someone's attention that was walking by. Most casinos have a drink station where you can grab your own free soda or coffee without having to go to the bar, not these guys. Stood in line multiple times for that. Standard rum and coke price- 5 bucks. Pretty high price for me to pay, when most other casinos in the area, for the same drink , $ 3.00.
Beautiful casino away from the freeway. Fantastic steak house and restaurants in casino. Unfortunately the casino, hotel and hallways are very heavily coated in stagnant cigarette smoke. As a non smoker this was not a reprieve when returning to our room. It carried with us on our clothes and hair. There is a lack of any entertainment other than Saturday nights, we found this odd for a casino of this caliber. Especially during the Holiday season. Hot tub is very small and pool area fills quickly with children. Very loud in the Spa as it is adjacent to pool area. A lack of available towels at pool. Check in hostess was not forthcoming or friendly with information pertaining to our stay (room features, casino features, etc) this was our first stay at the hotel and my husband's first visit to the casino. Treat every guest as if this is their first visit! Room cleanliness and steak house were our highlights.
