First our entire team really enjoyed this hotel. The staff are amazing!!! The rooms are large and very modern and comfortable with state of the art tech. The restaurants are beautiful and food was top notch. The Opposite House boasts modern art, great social and workspaces and is convenient to shopping and dining, China business district and super easy to get to the airport. The well appointed gym and steam room were appreciated. It is walking distance to some of the best luxury brands in the world and surrounded by an ample choice of wonderful restaurants and fine dining. We look forward to our stay in the future.
Great location, accessible to everything (even the CBD), shops if needed, great local food if needed and everything in the hotel is exactly where it is supposed to be. Clean, simple, understated luxury.
I had a 4 days trip in Beijing and stayed at the Opposite House. Such a wonderful place. Design wise the environment and architecture is stunning, the perfect balance of traditional and modern. As an interior designer you cannot find a better place in town for sure, surrounded by great shopping malls and beautiful buildings. The staff was very welcoming. Helpful and attentive.Easy to talk to. You can really feel as a part of the "Opposite" Family. :) Thank you guys! The room are really bright and nicely designed. Minimalist and functional. Timbered elements to warm it up. Well i will definitely come back to Opposite House for my next trips to Beijing. And i recommend any traveler to do so.
I'm staying in Bejing for a business trip and my colleagues told me to try The Opposite House. I arrived early afternoon and was immediately greated by a whole host of very friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. The interior has a wonderful airy design which was the subject of numerous selfie's by people passing through. My room is large and very modern. There are shades that can be automatically lowered. There is a large wooden bathroom and nice ceiling shower. I've ordered room service and asked for extra water and everything comes almost immediately. The downside (and this isn't really the hotel's fault) is that Beijing drivers love to blow the horn and so if you are facing the street like I am you get to hear that late into the evening. Will talk to the hotel about moving to the quiet side facing shopping. Check out the amazing shopping nearby and the efficent Village Cafe while you are there.
This is such a stunning hotel where as a solo traveler I was treated like family. Such a great place to retreat after the craziness of Beijing’s streets !! I had the best Peking Duck I have ever had here. Found in a great shopping area where young , old, contemporary and traditional Beijing intermingle. Great cutting edge art to. D found in this hotel.
Travelled to Beijing for family escape and couldn't have stayed in a better place. Many many thanks to the entire team, Mark, Kylie and all for an incredible stay. First loving the welcome with the staff always opening the wooden gates and helping booking cars and handling bags - especially helpful when you travel with kids. The lobby is beautiful and spacious with large-scale contemporary artworks, relaxing and perfect for chilling. Great smooth, personal check-in experience with the individual booths instead of large counters. Stayed in the studio 70 room, very spacious and bright, and easy to roam around - including our toddler running across the room. Lots of great amenities and personal attention items for families. Great view of the bustling and busy Sanlitun district - but completely quiet and silent indoors. There are many things to say - but one of my favourites was the personalized touch and message every day when going back to the room: postcards, freshly baked cookies, facial masks... a lot of small attentions that say a lot. And the little farewell gift (cute t-shirt & sunglasses) for our little one. Can't wait to return.
The hardest thing about checking into The Opposite House was leaving it. My room looked out to Taikoo Li—a good first look at Beijing. The staff was warm and quick to help in making sure I was comfortable. It had everything I needed to settle in: coffee and French press, a choice mini bar, a beautiful wooden tub and shower, a sleek pool and steam room downstairs. The whole set-up was spacious in a way that felt calming rather than austere; it read the mind of the kind of person looking for the luxury in comfort rather than luxury as comfort. I wouldn't say it was especially public transportation-friendly (although the subway did take only less than an hour from the airport), but Didi is so affordable and easy that getting around wasn't a problem.
everything was perfect. I was there 1 night only.I will defenetly return! Guest relation Manager was extremly nice and helpful. Trendy & very nice decor.I had a wonderful stay.hotel concierge team are very efficient .
Staying at the Opposite House is like spending the night at a museum of modern art hosted by the most friendly and helpful staff ever. The rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable with plenty of space. The location is great for visitors and shoppers alike with several metro stations a few blocks away providing easy access to all that Beijing had to offer. The restaurants are excellent but overall the friendly staff of Lynn, Brian, Aaron and all rest make visiting the Opposite House a highlight if any trip to Beijing.
A beautiful hotel with gorgeous art and lobby but the rooms are average, the service tries hard but isn't great. They gave us a noisy room on a low floor initially even though I specifically requested high floor and quiet. Then they tried to offer a room which smelt badly of damp and mildew and said they couldn't smell anything, highly unlikely as I was nearly retching from the smell. They recommended restaurants but gave terrible directions and we had to call several times to find the restaurants. The staff were very nice but sometimes nice isn't enough if you are in a city where you can't speak the language. Compared to it's sister hotel in hong kong, it doesn't even come close.
