Hotel Spalentor was a wonderful. Good location for sightseeing and very convenient to public transit. The staff were so nice and helpful. Would recommend highly and if we get back to Basel, will stay there again!
Best view of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Floor to ceiling glass! Very nice modern rooms.
The location was excellent for visiting the old section of town, which is wonderful to visit. The showers were extremely slippery, the hotel pamphlet said you could request this mat to put down. Why they didn't just put this in each bathroom is a mystery. My husband did fall down after I warned him ...
The staff behind the desk are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The breakfast buffet offered everything one could want. The hotel’s location is nothing special but it can easily be reached by Basel’s excellent tram system.
Great hotel - even better staff. I was there for two weeks on business, they made me feel at home.
Our room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest - We were given another room. The was no ventilation in the room and the pillows were uncomfortable and old. The table in the restaurant was also dirty.
I've stayed at Ibis before and have had pleasant experiences. This one however was disappointing. The room was literally a little box, no space. There is no privacy for the bathroom or shower. Felt uncomfortable using them with my travel companion around. For the price this is definitely not worth ...
