We were booked for an extended stay for business but left early. Facilities are ok and staff fine, but the rooms overall were tired and a bit 'grubby' (a few hairs around the place, needed a good thorough vacuum, bed linen has seen better days). Ok if you need a bed for the night, but not for any longer in my opinion.

We stay here often when in the Baltimore area. Friendly, helpful, well trained staff. Clean, bright suites. Good breakfast and managers reception. Good location near Rt 83 w easy access to 695 and the Hunt Valley mall. Lots of nearby restaurants. But, if you want to sleep in the morning avoid rooms ending in 01 or 02... they overlook the dumpsters and they are a loud wakeup call at about 7 am.

There aren't a ton of options in Hunt Valley/Cockeysville, so this is kind of it. I found the GM's email, and was able to secure a top floor room which - prior stays, the floors were so thin, it was insanely noisy. So, got that room but; first night wasn't amazing. There were no extra towels as requested and the dishes were all dirty - as if housekeeping or some guest rinsed plates and put them in the cupboard. Further, the counters were so sticky, I could scrape a 1/2 centimeter thick vat of whatever it was off. I complained and the room was much cleaner night two, and a bottle of wine was left behind; so they recovered well and the rest of the stay was uneventful.

Our family's stay at this hotel was nothing but positive. All of the staff was very friendly and accomodating, especially Diane, Ryan and Adam who did a fantastic job of checking in with us and making sure we felt right at home. On top of that, the hotel offers great amenities including an indoor pool. The housekeeping was great, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Highly recommend this hotel if you're going to be in the Baltimore area.

As soon as i walked in the lobby i fell in love with this hotel. Everything was so nice and clean. Front desk staff (it was the same girl for check in and check out) she was great. The room so nice and clean and also modern. Love that you can watch Netflix with the TV or play music from your phone. The pool was PERFECT! and the breakfast delicious a lot more options that other Marriott's hotel buffet. I wish my stay was for more than one night however whenever in this area again this will be the place for us to stay again.

This is not 4.5-star or 4.7-star, but a full 5-star rating. Residence Inn at Hunt Valley has absolutely everything - good location, new hotel, clean rooms, great layout, pool with a life guard for kids to play, wonderful breakfast, pleasant staff, and close to everything. We bought some grocery at Wegmans (5 minutes away) while kids were in the pool, and cooked some easy dinner then kids were done at the same time. Couldn't be more convenient! I love everything offered to us, even the coffee tastes great. Thank you!

The rooms look nice the people are nice except that some of the housekeeping staff don't do their jobs. It was gross. We did complain and they were sorry and tried to make it up to us. But the bottom line is I would never go back to this place. I only had this kind of experience in a third world country. Need I say more. I hope they fixed the problem that We called to their attention.

This was our second stay at this hotel to visit friends where we once lived. The location is excellent if you are looking to be north of Baltimore City. Right off the 83 and across from Hunt Valley Towne Center with restaurants, shops, movie theater etc. Our first stay last year went off without a hitch. Can't say the same about our stay this month (8/11-14). The hotel, as usual with most Residence Inns, seems to attract a lot of big families with lots of children (at least both of our visits) so we requested a room on the top floor (6th) in an attempt to avoid noise above us. We booked a one-bedroom and were given one on the 5th floor as the hotel was very full. It is summer and it was hot outside so a/c was welcome. Unfortunately the room felt like a meat locker at 63 degrees and the a/c was running! I had no jacket with me and we were absolutely freezing! We immediately set the thermostat to heat but it did not seem to be working. We called the desk who sent maintenance right away. He measured the temp coming out of the vents at 59! We asked for a room change and was quickly given one. There was no one-bedroom available so we took a studio on the top floor. IT TOO HAD THE A/C SET TO 63 degrees! Unbelievable. Two rooms on two different floors, the same temp. How unlucky for us. We were very tired after a 7 hour drive and it was late evening. At least the heat worked in the second room and we were able to warm it up fairly quickly. I so resent using the heat in a hotel in the Summer in August in Baltimore where it was 90 that day! How very environmentally unfriendly of this Marriott. All ended well because the staff was pleasant, professional and went above and beyond to help us. I wish I had written down the name of the desk clerk who helped us (I commented on him wearing a fleece in the Summer!). I truly felt he cared about our satisfaction and did all he could to accommodate us. Would we still recommend this hotel to others - YES - absolutely. The location is great, the staff excellent, the rooms clean. But a message to the management - PLEASE find out who is putting the a/c so low! It was a huge inconvenience.

Standard Residence Inn set up; friendly service. Located near the Hunt Valley Towne Centre which provides access to a variety of the standard fast casual restaurants. Shuttle driver provided good service driving us to/from nearby businesses.

We were there for only an overnight, and they did a late check in for us with a smile. Hotel is modern and clean, rooms are a great size. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
