We spent one night in Bakersfield on our way to LA, but just wished it was closer to I-5. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath corner unit on the upper level which was our choice. We were told there was no elevator, but as we didn’t have heavy, large luggage it was no problem. We wanted a quiet location. We didn’t realize there was a train whistle close by, but we didn’t hear it through the night. One of the bathrooms took forever to give us warm water. Glad we had 2 bathrooms as the 2nd one had warm water quickly. The complimentary breakfast was great, but it closed at 9:00 am during the week, a little early for folks on the road who would like to sleep in a little longer. All in all, a pleasant visit.

This place is a palace compared to the hotel we were originally going to stay in. Sure we paid about 60.00 more, you get free breakfast, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, AND most importantly NO COCKROACHES!

My girlfriend came to visit for five days while I was doing contract work. We wanted to prepare our meals in the room, as I had been on the road awhile and was burned out on restaurant food. There are few options for "full kitchen" hotels in this area of the valley. The kitchen can be considered "full" if you are a person who likes microwave food. There was no oven. There are a few dishes and enough flatware. There was a dishwasher with a packet of DW detergent, but no provisions for handwashing dishes. I am sure housekeeping would have taken care of that had we used them, but she and I prefer not to be bothered by housekeeping. The DW is extremely loud! On the plus side, there is a nice sized refrigerator, a cozy fireplace, and a grill and fire pit out back. The tub/shower area is nice, and overall the room has a pleasant open layout. We found it somewhat inconvenient that the vanity is open to the sleeping area. I got up early to go to work, and I either had to shave and brush my teeth by the light of my phone, or disturb my gf's sleep.

Stayed here overnight because it was half way between Calistoga and Las Vegas. This was a well furnished suite and would be ideal for a longer stay. The bed was king size and very comfortable, it contained both a bath and a shower over bath. The lounge area was also good and comfortable. Good quality free wifi available in the suite. Complimentary breakfast in the main check-in area had a good variety of hot and cold food options. 2020

All the times I have stayed at a Residence Inn I have always got a really nice room. The room at this hotel was even better. A studio room with a full kitchen, bar area with 2 bar stools, a huge desk, comfortable king bed, and a very nice bathroom. The continental breakfast was very good. Even though there was a power outage in the area the crew kept right on replenishing breakfast items as best they could. The only thing that I would have liked was that the bathroom sinks actually be in the bathroom. I have run into this situation alot on my trip through Oregon, and California.

A good place for a one night stay. We were headed back to LA next morning and this was a perfectly good stopover. Clean, new feeling, nice pool, lots and lots of restaurants around the hotel, a free and nice breakfast in the morning and well equipped good sized rooms, all right off the interstate..

I was here only for one night on business. I had requested an upper floor away from noise, and the staff made certain to pick an appropriate room despite being fully booked. Check-in was a little slow, but the staff was friendly. My room was ample size and well kept. Furnishings were up to date, and everything was clean. My only room complaint would be the floor mounted door stop near the bathroom is a "toe killer" as it is right where you stand to access the closet. The complimentary breakfast was adequate, but fresh fruit was no where to be found. Unlike other places I have stayed, however, the plates were nice and warm so your hot food stays warm. In general the property was very well maintained, but the windows in the breakfast lounge area were extremely dirty. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day, but they were in stark contrast to everything else that was well maintained. I am selecting "no" for whether it has a tennis court, since it is not a full size court. I would definitely stay here again. Price was reasonable, location was optimal for me, and it is close to a number of restaurant options.

Stayed here 1 night on our Arizona / California family road trip. I would not recommend staying in Bakersfield. The whole town is not very nice. The hotel grounds are not well kept up. Somebody needs to sweep up, fix the shaky stairs to the second floor, etc. Note that there are NO elevators and you will have to carry your bags to the second floor. Our teenager enjoyed having his own bedroom and bathroom in this 2 room suite. The rooms were okay, clean enough. But we had several minor issues. The garbage in the kitchen had NOT been emptied. One bathroom toilet was clogged and there is no one on property to handle the issue. Front desk said they would have to call someone and didn't know when that would be. We wanted to sleep, so we just used the second bathroom. We couldn't get out of here fast enough. I will not be staying here again.

Spent only 1 night here - would be very comfortable for an extended stay. Room size is spacious - large kitchen - lots of storage and work space - clean - nice grounds with pool (with a special chair/lift for handicapped access to the pool) - bbq - sitting areas - grounds to walk (people and pets). Grounds were well kept. When we checked in there was a slight issue in our room - the desk had maintenance come over right away and the problem was corrected quickly by a very nice young man. When we checked in the front desk was very busy with a long line of people checking in - the 2 ladies handled the guests very efficiently. We enjoyed the breakfast - only thing we commented on is that the dirty counters/refills were not kept up with. Our first time staying at a Residence Inn - would be happy to stay at one again in the future.
