We stayed here for 4 nights in April. It was our fault that we left it too long to book & this was all we could get, well we won't be back. It could be common practice but because the Masters games were on (of no interest to us) the price was raised to $167 per night. This was $50 more than the norm' These were supposedly 'Deluxe' cabins but they are quite cramped. We paid a month in advance including $100 bond. We only received this bond back(finally!) on 28th May! We had to purchase shower tokens that were not refundable if not used yet they expected them to be returned, thievery. The numbered car parks were poorly signposted & returning one evening we couldn't park where we should, total chaos. Staff were alerted but did nothing to solve the problem.

This place is appalling. We were sent here as our Air New Zealand flight was diverted from Dunedin due to fog. We were asked for our passports and $100 to get a key. The person had no right to have our passports and the airline would have been paying him so he was double dipping asking for $100 so he was dishonest. Further complaints have been laid against this place with Air New Zealand and other authorities.

I stayed in this place for four nights .it was ok , it's a noisy place , a favourite place of tourist.good location , shops and restaurants are close by , good tidy rooms .no free internet. Front office staffs were helpful . Nothing to boast no views just a place to crash .

We have stayed at this Motel over the past 3 years when regularly working in Auckland and there is absolutely no recall that we have ever been there before. It starts directly from them never being able to find our company name on their computer. We can handle the staff unfriendliness as it is apparent that the management treat them as badly as their guests. There are 'do not' notes written everywhere further reminding you that this is not a business to be messed with. Buy shower tokens for a $ each and there is a note saying they will not refund them if you have any left over but you can give them back for free. Unbelievable. Takapuna motor camp is a lot friendlier and is where we are staying from now on or even Orewa. Looking at all the bad reviews i believe the management do not care as they appear to be pretty busy. Must be doing something right.

This caravan park was shocking recently stayed on my last night in Auckland in a motor home. Had to buy tokens if you wanted to use there showers, indoor pool was out of order and was told there was 8 dryers and washers and after checking in found out 5 dryers were not working and hadn't for a while, couldn't clean sewerage waste as was told the area was out of order, couldnt dump grey water was told area was out of order. OMG $100 was paid for a bit of power I don't think so just terrible which was a damper to a fantastic holiday and all the other parks were amazing.

My room had bed buds. Dozens and dozens, all sizes, I woke up absolutely covered in them, in my ears, all over my face and body, all through my hair, and crawling into my luggage. The night staff changed my room for me, but I also found evidence of bedbugs in the second room. I WILL NEVER GO BACK

Poorly maintained, exorbitant cost for an overnight stay on a powered site. Then had to pay one dollar per person for a shower, poor turning spaces for camper vans, and Winnebagos. I would not recommend this place to any van travellers. No tiles on part of the ladies bathroom floor. Most of the dryers were out of order. Unable to access paid wifi with van as blocked by van park.... I was not willing to pay for extra wifi. I would not return.

Never been gouged so much in my entire life as we were at this dump. $80 per night for a small campervan site, and still have to pay for everything wifi, showers, everything else, etc. Most of the washer/dryers were out of order with only two left operating amongst a dozen people. No noise control with loud drinking and carrying on till 3am.....you get the picture, avoid this place like the plague!

Room (studio unit) was comfortable and adequately provisioned (cookware and crockery). Otherwise, if you want to feel like a pre-convicted criminal, this is the place to create the ambience. Start with the $100 bond that you will only get back as a credit to your (international) card in 7-10 days, and then only after an inventory of the items they think should be in your room has been taken. Next, consider $10 for a gig of wifi, supposedly. When I used it to upload a few pictures, it ran out in something like a nanosecond, unlike anywhere else in New Zealand where I had stayed previously (in the five-week holiday I'd been on to date), and in those places generally with an allocation of only 250 mb. Finally, after staying here for two nights, I needed a place close to Devonport to stay the night before our departure. This place qualified, and I figured I was now prepared for their customer-friendly style. When I made the booking, for the same accommodation, it was $30 more (because it was a busy weekend - on a Sunday), and it was non-refundable in case of a cancellation. What a place!

Booked a standard cabin - on their website is says that this includes a bathroom. Do not be fooled by the photo attached to the description of Standard Cabin - you have to use shared facilities. You also have to pay for a shower! $1 for 9 minutes, and it takes over a minute for the hot water to come through. The shower block and toilets are not clean, and have broken tiles on the floors, mould in the corners and ants were up the walls in the toilets. Check in was a disaster. I queried the room and then got yelled at by a very rude man behind the counter. He would not listen just talked right over the top of me. He told me I had to pay a $100 bond and that it was in my email confirmation. I checked it was not. If I paid it on credit/debit card it would take 3-4 days for the money to go back into my account. I only found that out from a sign, they did not tell me this. I begrudgingly paid by cash and was given a tiny piece of paper and was told if I lost it, they would keep my $100 cash. Got to the room and it was wooden bunk with a double on the bottom, single on the top and it was hard and damned uncomfortable. The room smelt and was not worth $95! It was tiny. It took nearly 20 minutes to process check out the next morning as they physically check your room, before giving you back the $100. I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever! Other reviews on here for those staying in the motel section seem to have had similar experiences to ours, so this is not an isolated incident. Protect yourself and stay away from this place.
