Hotel was clean and efficient however the room was let down by road noise

The Millennium hotel is very nice and the location is very convenient. The location is near the top of Queen St. and it is a pleasant walk downhill on Queen St. to the bay. The hotel is only two blocks from the historic Civic Theater.

Nice hotel. Conveniently located. But the front desk could have done better. I checked in late, around midnight. When I opened the curtains next morning on my third floor room I found my room facing a wall. I know I had booked at their lowest rate but the receptionist had given me the worst room in the hotel. I asked for a transfer and another room was given to me. Why couldn't it have been done at the time of the check in? When palm off the worst room first?. I will have to think hard before booking againin the same hotel.

Large beautiful room, very comfy bed, very helpful staff, good price.

Excellent hotel. Large room and good breakfast. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the main street, shops, museum and marina.

Had good experience, walked a few minutes to catch hop on hop off.

This hotel is in a great location. In 1-2 minutes, you are at Civic Center where the theaters are and the Sky Tower, or you are on Queens Street (main shopping area). It is also 5 minutes walk to Auckland University and Auckland University of Technology. Clean, modern, very nice staff. Attractive lobby. Decent food but nothing to write home about. We got a very average onion soup that didn't have much flavor and the breakfast eggs were luck-warm and not much flavor. But there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

We had problems checking in due to computer problems... And waited over 2 hours before we saw others being checked in. It would have been nice to have been notified that we could check in.... Our room was nice... had Wi-Fi which was great, too bad it wasn't secure and a giant bathtub! The housekeeping was not the best... our glassware had been obviously wiped out and not cleansed. I guess since it was my own dirt, I could deal with it, but... We didn't go our first thing in the morning, so maybe they didn't like doing our room later? We were able to walk down to the things we wanted to do. All in all, it was a good stay. Where we were was more the excitement of the trip, not the hotel.

It was pretty good for the price. Some of the stuff could have been updated.

My wife and I stayed at the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland for 3 days in April. Our experience there was fantastic. We were greeted warmly by a young lady (wish I could remember her name) at the front desk. One of the questions she asked was whether we were there for a special occasion, and I replied that it was an anniversary trip. After we returned from our first outing the next day, there was a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket with 2 flutes and a note from Mr. Asaua, a manager, congratulating us and welcoming us to the hotel - a classy bonus to our stay. The hotel is modern and our room was a suite with a large living area separated from the sleeping area with a partial wall in the middle of the room. The bathroom was spacious and fully tiled with two sinks, a separate shower and separate tub. We were able to buy a package that included parking and breakfast. I would recommend those options, as the parking can get expensive, and the breakfast was very good (every food option you could think of and well prepared). The location was ideal for exploring the wharf area, shopping, dining, and pubs. All were within a 20-30 minute walk. Overall, because of the beautiful facility, amenities, great staff, and proximity to pretty much anything you might want to do in Auckland, I would highly recommend the Rendezvous Hotel and would be very happy to stay there again.

The Staff was very attentive and courteous. Rooms were clean. Location was good for those who walk or for those who drive out daily.

Concierge desk and VIP lounge staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception desk folks have a bit business like attitude. Enjoyed VIP lounge view and o'dourves. Very friendly young lady staff there was memorable.

Hotel was in a good location within walking distance to shopping, eating, entertainment and pier. Accommodations were very nice, large room and bathroom with huge tub and separate shower. Nice large bath towels.

Great stay right in town, walked everywhere as opposed to staying at the airport. Staff was wonderful, enjoyed the club room.

This hotel was awesome and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The hotel meet my expectations and more. Great location. Fantastic staff.

The hotel was perfectly adequate for a week long business trip. I would stay here again. The good: - I arrived at 8am after a 13 hour overnight flight. Although I couldn't check in my room until 3pm, I was able to take a shower at the hotel's gym which was great. - The hotel's location is near Queen street, which makes downtown Auckland very walkable. - The room and bathroom were spacious. - The room lighting was nice and bright. - It was quiet. - While the hotel is older, it didn't feel dingy. The bad: - The breakfast at the hotel is absolutely disgusting and exorbitantly expensive. There are better and less expensive places elsewhere. - The mini fridge in the room was not cleaned before I checked in. There was an open container of milk from the previous room occupant. When I explained this to the front desk, they had an extremely difficult understanding this. I don't know why it took 3 attempts to get this simple thing corrected.

It was amazing for the price we paid. Such a great location and absolutely loved the pool. Would definitely go back.

Arrived at the hotel and was told about the 200 dollar bond that needed to be paid. As I had not previously been informed of this it was a bit of a shock and I was not prepared with the reserve cash. The staff were very helpful and we managed to make an arrangement however we were informed that if we'd paid the 200 dollar bond we would not have received it back for 5 days! Seems a bit unnecessary. I am from the UK and had not experienced that level of security at a hotel of that level. Beautifully comfortable bed, wonderful bathroom and shower. Lovely staff. Good night on the whole.

Ok, great downtown location but the parking garage beside is Earthquake damaged and $37.00 per night for valet is rediculous. Add to this, $5.50 tray charge for room service, no FREE WIFI, and a new 1.5% surcharge to use your credit card [any credit card] to pay them and so we decided to AVOID spending any more money here..... It cost them about $600 in revenue for meals and services. So if you don't mind being charged for every little thing.. stay. Otherwise, pass.
