This hotel is in the perfect area in Auckland. The staff are wonderful and the hotel is well appointed. They really go out of the way to be helpful and accommodating.

The hotel (and staff) were as we expected. It was a good value hotel stay.

Can't say enough positive things about this gem of a hotel! Staff are exceptional location is ideal - 4 blocks from Ferry/Wharf. Comfortable beds - coffee in the room - Queen Street has everything for any traveler. Its a perfect setting. Thank you to all staff!

First off, the hotel is in a perfect location - easy walking distance to some of the major sites in Auckland. Our room was large and nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. The only downside as indicated in the title of the review is that because of its location, it is also very noisy on Saturday night. We were on the 15th floor and it sounded like there was a disco next door. Our second night was much better, but trying to sleep on Saturday night was a challenge. Even tried earplugs, but that wasn't sufficient to baffle the noise. We weren't the only ones to be disturbed by the noise, talking to other guests on the elevator all seemed to have a problem on Saturday night.

We arrived in Auckland early in the morning and didn't sleep on the flight, so we were exhausted. The staff was so helpful to get us into our room early which was so appreciated! The location is awesome and close to everything. When we checked in they gave us info on how to get around the city. The room was great too and the bed extra comfy. It was a great stay. Hope we get to go back! The staff is exceptional in all areas.

Very good hotel at good location and great gym Would definitely stay here again

CityLife hotel in Auckland is a very good hotel and very convenient location. Easy walking to the harbor, sky tower, many restaurants in the area. Good size, clean room and staffs are very helpful. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby.

Close to everything. Helpful, friendly staff. nice place.

Good location, very kind and helpful staff, room comfortable clean and well supplied.

The view out our window of the Sky Tower was great - we had the perfect view of the fireworks celebrating Chinese New Year that were set off from the top of the Sky Tower - culminated a great trip to New Zealand!

The two bedroom suite is ideal for business travelers who need to be in downtown Auckland. Everything worked except the clothes dryer. Housekeeping dried clother for me. One note: the Auckland CBD can be noisy at night, even in 20th floor rooms, especially after All Blacks games. If you want a quite place, get a hotel away from all the nightlife.

Great location, service & rooms. On main drag.

Good service very close to main street. " service & rooms.

Excellent hotel! Extremely clean and well maintained. Valet parking was great - no worry about the car. We upgraded to a one bedroom suite for $1 and the suite resembled an apartment - kitchen, living room, and very roomy bedroom. After being on the road for 3 weeks, the inroom, full size washer and dryer was such a welcome sight! Very helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to great restaurants at the waterfront and lots of shopping options. A true gem! Wish we had stayed longer!

We had a good experience, the hotel staff was pleasant and it was an excellent location. The 1 bdrm suite was spacious. I would recommend for an Auckland hotel.

Even though there were some communications problems with my third-party booking of this hotel, the staff made sure everything was right. The check-in counter staff and the bell captain crew were helpful, cheerful, and just a pleasure at all times. We had breakfast nearly every day of our stay there. While the breakfast buffet wasn't huge, it was always fresh and tasty. They had a version of Eggs Benedict (menu item rather than buffet) done with salmon instead of Canadian bacon that was wonderful! Again, the staff in the dining room was always helpful and pleasant. Not cheap, but worth the price. Lots of real smiles and friendly service. The towel/heater bar in the bathroom was a nice touch. Great for drying out your hand-washables. I would have preferred a firmer mattress though, especially one with independent coils so as not to disturb my husband when I toss a bit at night. Not bad, just not the best possible. We would gladly stay at CityLife again!

Overall I would come back to stay here again. The location is perferctly in the middle of Queen street. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and city circuit and air bus express also. It's really convenient to go everywhere

Location for walking was great! Parking, however, was VERY DIFFICULT and the car entrance almost impossible to find (it also cost $30 a day additional too boot!). Wouldn't recommend it if you are traveling by car. Rooms are spacious and VERY clean, but there is A LOT of Bar/Street noise and we were on the 11th floor. Staff were friendly and helpful, but you could tell they were tired about hearing of the parking problems. They had no solution to offer other than a discounted rate. Helpful, but It would be better to have appropriate space for loading and unloading, never mind actual parking.

My wife and I were in Auckland for vacation and chose CityLife based on reviews. It was great -- perfect location for sightseeing, very good rooms and a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Try for a higher floor where you can have a limited view of the water and a great view of the Sky Tower. It is not a luxury hotel and does not have a business center but I would definitely stay again, for holiday or for business.

The staff acknowledged that we had just come from a 12 hour flight and arranged a room for us 3 hours ahead of their normal check-in time. Being our first time to Auckland, the concierce service was extremely helpful. The hotel was centrally located in downtown Auckland, and bus service was convenient with stops at the hotel. The hotel provided discounted taxi service as well. We would stay there again.
