Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel

orbits charged me $350nz to stay here in a "premium air conditioned room" the room was hot and stuffy and the air con could not even be turned on. forgivesble if charging bargain rates, but NOT at $350 a night. the staff promised they would have the manager contact me to offer some rebate but of course they just blew me off and i never heard from them. over priced, false advertising, and unresponsive management. stay somewhere else.

Stayed close the the airport as we just had to turn around the next morning and go back to the airport for another flight. This hotel was just fine - great for the low price.

Very basic accommodation. it has what you need for a one night stay prior to heading to the airport.

Depending on your room this is a decent hotel to stay in.

This hotel is near to the Auckland Airport. One thing the first concerned me was the warnings posted in the parking lot to make sure I lock my car doors. That post made me think that this was not a safe area to stay. The check-in staff was nice and the room was clean. We had first floor access to the back part of the hotel that had a yard. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced.

Very good location, close to airport. Cost effective lodging.

Airport shuttle was great. Breakfast was minimal, but as advertised.

Shuttle was free, but late. We checked in at 1am and had to check out by 10am--no late check out allowed. Close to airport, but nothing else attractive about it. Staff was unprofessional.

The most awful stay experience of our travel. Hotel is totally infested with cockroaches. Stained bed sheets,no hot water, The blankets were on the floor, pillows had stains no one should ever stay in the hotel.

I actually stayed at this hotel twice in one vacation on the way to and from Tonga. The free airport transfers are prompt and generally AMAZING. They will pick you up or drop you off at any time of the day/night. I got picked up at 3 AM for one of the stays and dropped off at 430 for another. The rooms are simple, clean, and quiet, which is amazing. The ones I stayed in had a small balcony (I didn't use it) with 2 beds, a water heater, tv, big bathroom and everything else you'd expect. We also got a decent continental breakfast. All for $48 US! The owners/managers of this hotel clearly take pride in their hotel and do a great job with customer service, transfers, and everything else.

Nice clean place with accommodating service. Needed help with the confusing in suite Euro washer/dryer.

Not to be repeted

Stayed here one night due to a very early morning connecting flight. "Superior' room was fine for the price and van pickup/dropoff at the airport was prompt and courteous. Only complaint was no availability of breakfast at the early hour. Some breakfast option for taking to the room should be offered: our room had a fridge so we would have appreciated cereal, milk & juice for example.

Stayed for one night just because my flight got in so late. I'm a backpacker but was looking forward to real towels, clean showers, and some privacy. Got all these things but the room was slightly dank and muggy upon arrival and there were quite a few flies I had to kill before sleeping. Airport shuttle was great, definite plus. Breakfast was simple (bare bones continental and the hours short, only from 7 to 8:30). Other than that, you get what you pay for.

I was not happy with the stuff, especially with the front desk, the lady (the only one I think) was showing an attitude all the time even with other customers. They were not friendly, they are other ways to say NO. The internet was available but not free. The room and lobby were smelly, but clean. The next room was a family and they were very noisy after midnight. The hotel was convenience for a short drive to the airport only, and for a short time staying in Auckland, otherwise forget it.

Located near the airport, this hotel is somewhat dated and in process of remodel. There are actually 2 hotels, and one appears to have been taken over by the other. We had a Family room, which was quite dated in it's furnishings, but was clean and provided a good place to stop before our next day's journey after a late flight. It is a good value if you don't mind the dated surroundings.

It was a good location with convenient perks (airport shuttle, luggage storage) and a very reasonable price. The room was simple but clean, and the restaurant food was fine. However, it was not made clear that the "free continental breakfast" was only served for 1 hour, so it's easy to miss!

When we got there, they did not even have our reservation. When we finally checked in we went upstiars to our room but to our surprise there were all of the room's sheets in the hallway. The hallways were already small enough but we had to navigate our way to the room. No AC and no free internet.
