We discovered that the Ground Fault Interrupter outlet by the vanity (GFIs are required by law for safety for bathrooms and other places where water might be present) was not working. That means we had to connect items we used near the vanity to an unprotected outlet around the corner. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and asked for it to be fixed. When we checked out two days after arrival, it had not been fixed. That was the only issue we had. The breakfast attendant was exceptional. The front desk clerk who handled my repair request was clueless. Some things need to be fixed for convenience. Some need to be fixed for comfort. But when it is a matter of safety, it needs prompt attention. It did not get any attention. It therefore gets a 3/5.
Check in....front desk is badgering women in front of me about her service dog. Asked a ton of questions then demanded pw (which the women had). Bed is super squeaky. Can hear everything in every other room. Needed more pillows & frt desk told me i should have enough (meaning no pillows for my back issues). Pool was closed due to weather....80 to 85 and sunny for next 4 days according to tv & phone. Breakfast is really bad for a Residence Inn & pretty bad for even a 2star hotel. Ac works, only a little mold in bathroom, floors seem clean, beds overall are adequate, staff is rude at best, close to hi end shopping & in a seemingly safe neighborhood. In the end cant recommend.
Ugly, disgusting, dirty, basketball teams being run in and out, pitiful breakfast with powdered egg, no shrubbery or flowers, tired decor, UGH - walls are paper thin, pool has no shade, pool is unsupervised and basketball players out of control
This was a Family road trip that started in Tallahassee Florida. We were joining other family members in Atlanta to celebrate Christmas, and our grandson Jaydyn's first birthday. It was a fun filled time with family and friends gathered st the breakfast, and dinner table, caroling and extending best wishes to one another. Our accommodation was a one bedroom suit, nicely becorated, and appealing. The room was clean, and orderly, lots of towels and linen. All of the standard amenities- internet, wifi, kitchenette etc. Overall it was pleasant. It was raining when we checked in, and getting from the car to the front desk was awful; there was no spot close to the entrance and we were soaked thinking we could walk to our room from the lobby . Not a good first impression.
Stayed here two nights in June for business. Hotel is in very quiet location, yet close to Lenox Mall, buckhead and Brookhaven. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was crowded - but that's more of timing thing versus hotel issue. There is safe, free and covered parking included.
The two bedroom suites are always great for families, this property is a little older but they are remodeling so it's kept up. The location is great for AT&T business purposes. It is too far to walk to anything but it's only a $10 uber to Peachtree road.
Best kept secret in Atlanta for sure👍. This hotel is tucked away from the busy streets surrounding the Lenox Mall area. You not only have a comfy place to sleep but prime parking for your car 🚗. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offer a shuttle to Lenox and you wake up to a complimentary continental 🍳 breakfast. Their rooms are updated, clean and spacious🤗 You can't beat downtown Atlanta anytime of the year but certainly a must at Christmas‼️ Riding the Pink Pig 🐷 and seeing the Macy's Great Christmas Tree 🎄 has been a family tradition of ours for 50 + years. My children are grown now but we still gather for this tradition ~ and this past year we stayed at the Residence Inn ~ truly happening upon it not knowing what a gem it was. We had an amazing day at the Mall riding the Pink Pig and window shopping. We returned to the hotel and freshened up for dinner using Uber we had a fun night starting out at the Weston's rooftop bar overlooking Atlanta and giving us a great view of Macy's Great Christmas Tree. No matter the season or the reason this hotel is a perfect fit for your stay while enjoying Lenox Mall and the Buckhead area of Atlanta❤️ I have included a collage from our day of fun and the shot on top of the Westin overlooking Atlanta ❤️
Accommodations are nice and clean. I like the suite aspect with kitchen moving space and bed area. Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Good breakfast. We had a two day training session and the room was not fully prepared. AV equipment not immediately available. Room temp too variable. Not enough coffee or hot water available throughout the day. Bathrooms ran out of paper supplies.
My family and I were here for a business trip. We stayed here after we switched from another hotel in the city center. This hotel has nice grounds, well kept, and friendly staff. There is a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a two mile radius of the hotel and trust me there are plenty of places two go within two miles. It's close to shopping and dining and is in a good location. The room was clean and was maintained daily. I would come back to a made bed, fresh towels, etc. It could use a little updating but overall it was a good stay and I would return if in Atlanta again.
The people were SO nice who work at this hotel. We were there for the busy Emory graduation weekend and everyone was so kind even when we arrived at 2:00 AM. The shuttle is a great service. Wonderful stay.
