Staff was friendly and helpful. I called the front desk to ask for a wine key, Front desk not only accommodated key, but also brought up 2 wine glasses!
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. There was noise from the hallway. I would stay there again but I would not recommend the restaurant. It was a bit pricy and the food wasn't great.
Close to town. But really old and in desperate need of updating
The hotel badly needs updating. It was egregiously overpriced.
The main thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Beware if you book through an external company - although we booked a normal king room, they "were out" when we arrived and we were given a handicap king room, which would normally be fine, but it was on the basement floor (one floor down). There was a functioning window... that opened directly to the parking lot 5 feet away, with cars coming in and out all night. Not really worth making a stink over, but it was a bummer. Also, due to the handicap shower, water got all over the bathroom floor each time either one of us showered - had to eventually request extra towels to line the shower. Everything was mediocre but not the worst hotel ever - you pay for the downtown Asheville location, and that was definitely worth it.
This hotel is right near downtown - it's an easy walk to all kinds of great shops and restaurants. The rooms could use a little attention - nothing major, but the furniture and fixtures have seen better days. My first night, there was a water pressure issue and the banging in the walls kept me up all night, but the staff was quick to move me and were very attentive to my concerns. The next nights were much better, though the walls are quite thin. The wi-fi was great, in-room coffee was good. I'd probably stay again for the affordable price.
Excellent location and value. Walking distance to downtown Asheville restaurants and theater
Plenty of space and nice clean room. No complaints here. Would stay again.
Wanted something reasonably priced near downtown. It's a comfortable walk to everything. Rooms very clean, staff very friendly, would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is in an awesome location. Being within walking distance from downtown makes your life much easier and allows you to fit a lot in during your stay. The room was a little pricey but worth it to be so close. Watch out though!ni was charged twice for the room and sent to voicemail multiple times when trying to do something about it. Am still waiting for my refund.
My wife & I visit the area often, the location was the initial draw but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were quite friendly and the rooms were tidy. We were able to take advantage of the town as well as relax poolside. Overall, it was a good experience its a good value. Reasonable expectation yield good results.
Great location within walking distance of a concert venue we were going to. Fantastic staff that gave us pointers on where to go out for diner and drinks. Would definitely stay again.
The Hotel was within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Great location.
The hotel was nice. It was clean and met all of our needs.
Great walking distance to all the fun stuff downtown!
This hotel is perfectly located. Walk to everything. Rooms are very noisy. Not comfortable and barely clean. Beds are old and hard. Only good thing about the "contemporary design" they claim to have is the tv mounted on the wall. There isn't even a cold breakfast offered, and for nearly $200 a night- this hotel is not a good value. However, in a pinch- you can enjoy beautiful downtown Asheville and grin and bare it.
Was there for a weekend getaway to experience the Asheville micro brewery scene and the nightlife. With free parking and location close enough to walk to all downtown sites, location just off the highway was great (and no highway noise despite proximity). Extra comfortable beds were a bonus as was the reasonably priced breakfast. Recommend and would stay there again. There was no construction for the Saturday night we were there (it is an older hotel undergoing major refit), but signs warned of noise. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Small, unorganized lobby with only one person working the desk. The halls are in need of updating with worn carpet. The room appeared to have been updated within the last year or two. Best part is the ease of finding the hotel from the highway and access to downtown.
Because we booked through a travel site, they put us in a handicapped room in the basement of the hotel. We paid a good rate for the hotel, the same rate that was available booking directly on their site, so it was infuriating to know that we were put in a handicapped room deliberately because we booked through a travel site. I would never stay at this hotel again.
