Catamaran Hotel Marina

Nice hotel, close to the beach

The hotel is pretty much ON the beach. It is beautiful. I had the beach side view and I was very happy with that. The pool is also very close (about 30 sec) walk from the room. The hotel is good for anyone who truly wants to just relax and get away from the world in a sense. The wifi is not the best, so if you have any business to conduct or NEED wifi then this is not the hotel for you. It is within walking distance to a few eateries and a supermarket. Another thing about the hotel that wasn't all that appealing to me was that even though the windows have meshes, some have holes which allowed for mosquitoes to enter. I pretty much had to always keep the A/C on as a way to keep the bugs out. At the restaurant on property (Captain's Quarters) I wish there was something they can use to keep the flies away while eating. It is completely annoying and bothersome having to swat them away after, during and before each bite. The rooms have a nice, fully equipped kitchen; so you don't always have to eat out; if you don't wish to.

Carlisle Bay

Escape to paradise

From the moment you arrive the staff literally jumps to their feet and tries to assist you in any way they can. The property is a garden paradise and the beach is a beautiful tranquil bay surrounded by green mountains. The food is delicious, fresh quality ingredients. Very clean and also child friendly. You couldn't ask for any better.

Sandals Grande Antigua - All Inclusive Couples Only

Fabulous resort with all great rooms

This was our first time at a Sandals resort and we were impressed. All the rooms seemed like they were good. They have many pools with pool bars scattered throughout. No towel cards. No rushing and saving chairs. There are plenty of shaded and unshaded spots. Enough restaurants to eat in a different one every day if you are there a week. Plenty of food and drink and it is great. The people can’t do enough for you. And it is all inclusive. No hidden charges. Even the resort shops are reasonable.

Exactly what we expected

Tranquility, comfort, genuine (not fake!) care, attentive hosts & intelligent guests. For us, personally, this set was winning issue for this place.
