Check in was a breeze. Hotel staff were pleasant and professional. Great dinner arranged by the hotel concierge. Nice breakfast buffet, fresh juice and lots of other good food. Hotel bar was very nice and cozy.

Excellent hotel, cosy and spacious room (404), COMPLIMENTARY MINIBAR, clean room and bathroom! Nice staff, central location, about 200 m from central station. Highly recommend!

This quickly became one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed at. Very accommodating, nice comfortable room with plenty of amenities and a great view.

My stay was amazing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They offered to refill the mini bar at no charge. The only con was that they were doing construction work in the next lot so it was noisy early in the morning. Breakfast was great too, lots of choices and all you can eat.

Our Amsterdam experience was so enhanced by our stay at the Amrath! The staff, in particular Gino, was amazing!!! Our next trip to this beautiful city we without a doubt stay here!

Centrally located great room with really good bed full mini bar and excellent coffee maker in room

We loved our stay at the historical Amrath in Amsterdam. From our welcome in reception, to the beautifully appointed room and bathroom, we couldn't have been more pleased. Remi and luc were unbelievably gracious and accommodating.

The hotel stay was very nice. Very good courteous staff. The stocked mini bar was an added treat. The hotel even left us some champagne when there was a mix-up with the room cleaning. All the staff are to be complimented.

The Hotel Amrath was fantastic. Rooms were huge, amenities were great, the staff was extremely helpful. I would stay here anytime I come to Amsterdam in the future.

This hotel was in a great location. We feel that it was a bit overpriced. Personnel were excellent. We would not recommend this hotel at the price we paid. There are other hotels that have equal or better amenities for a lower price. One has to remember that this is an older hotel.

For staying in downtown Amsterdam the location was good. IT was across from the train station and near the point where tours start - both Canal and Bus. The mini-bar use was included in the price, I guess if you used it frequently it might cost you an additional $20-30 of supplies, and they pick the contents not you (and not elegant). My vote, ignore that feature and buy better quality wine, beer, and snacks at the store. The Museum-like appearance of the place was another plus. They never got wake up calls working at all. We nearly missed both the tour and our return flight. All their recommendations (tours, restaurants, ...) were the most expensive with clearly money in their pocket. Find places by looking on internet or talking to others. The HVAC system never worked, making it challenging to sleep.

this is the hotel to stay in if you want to be in the heart of amsterdam. beautiful old hotel but has clean rooms.

After spending three weeks in Airbnb places (which were great) we decided to splurge and stay at the Amrath. Easy walking distance to anything you would want to see in Amsterdam. We didn't use the hotel restaurant/bar area as there were many choices nearby and right across from the canal. First room we were put into had refrigerator issues, so we were booked into a better room at the same rate (the free stocked wet bar is nice, too). Pool, spa, hot tub are very nice and the front desk staff had many discount coupons for any place we needed to travel. We're already planning a trip back next summer and will stay at the Amrath.

Great location service great nice gym rooms very nice

Very good location , close to train, tram, shopping. High cleaning, big rooms. Loved it.

very lovely hotel that I chose mostly due to it's convenience to the central train station. it was much nicer than I expected, we had a very large beautiful canal view room and the staff were all VERY accommodating from the smooth, early check in, the supply of band aids needed for tired, blistered feet, and the concierge going above and beyond helping with phone calls needed for airport transportation. Not one person ever seemed put out to help with any request large or small.

Fantastic central location within walking distance to Central station and Dam street, yet very quiet and relaxing. Nice spacious and clean room. The staff did not offer help with luggage. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

The hotel was wonderful, especially the pool and spa area. The staff are lovely and helpful. The hotel is right near the red light district, so it is less desirable if you have children with you.
