Stayed here recently as was celebrating my friends 30th birthday. This hotel is in a good location, about 10 mins to central on the tram but it walkable as well. Tram stops right outside hotel! Lots of shops and amenities around. Bed are comfy, had a nice balcony. Staff helpful. Can also hire bikes from hotel as well. Only downside was it was a bit noisy in the mornings, you can hear mostly everything, people walking up & down in the next room, talking loudly in the corridors, doors slamming. Staff liked hovering at 9.00am! But apart from that, this was a good hotel and would stay again. Would recommend.
Me and my partner visited here for a 3 night break in November. The hotel is lovely about a 30 minute walk from central station but a really nice walk through a park and passed lots of nice shops. We got the number 4 tram from the station when we first arrived but didnt use a tram again while we were there. On the second day we walked 15 miles in total! So great if you dont mind keeping fit! The hotel staff are really friendly and gave us lots of discount vouchers for local attractions. Told us they offer a continental breakfast for €9 but we never tried while we were there. We stayed in room 305 which was lovely. Had 2 single beds pushed together but enough room for the 2 of us. The bathroom was really modern and water was always hot. Only slight downfall was the heating was constantly on and although great when youve been out in the cold all day, it was a bit too warm when on constant day and night! Our room was on the front street and trams do run early into the early morning so can be a bit noisey. Didnt want to open the window because of that either but didnt prevent us sleeping anyway. Lovely room and hotel. Would definitely visit again!
4 of us went and the room was lovely and clean . Balcony was very nice and staff were fantastic. Hotel was hard to find and kettle in room was no where near a plug so we had to use it on the floor apart from that 10/10
The staff at the reception were very friendly. They gave us a map of the Amsterdam CBD. The gave us tips on the trams, restaurants, etc. The rooms, although quite small were very clean, as were the bedding & bathroom
The hotel is in a very nice area of Amsterdam. The tran station in 50 m away and you can go directly to centran station. The neigborhood is really good with bars and restaurants around. The rooms are really good. The breakfast can be better but it’s ok. The staff is really helpful, you can ask them for everything. I totally recomand it and I think I will go again next time I’ll be in Amsterdam.
We paid a fair amount of money for terrible service and no sleep. The walls were paper thin and there were kids running the halls, screaming, crying, thumping and jumping well into the wee hours of the morning. We had our two kids with us, and had an early plane to catch and we got no sleep and no shower. We complained about the noise and nothing was done. No one seemed to care about any one who was there. I would not choose to stay here again.
The hotel is just outside of the city center, but only a short tram ride to all the action. The my room was clean with good a/c , and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all good value for money.
Enjoyed our stay there. Room was small but functional. A/C worked well. English TV. Coffee maker in room. Good sound proofing from outside noise from the street. We walked everywhere. About 1.9 km to the center of Amsterdam, 2.9 km to Ann Frank house. Pleasant walk along the canals. Restaurant only open for buffet breakfast. Lots of little bars/coffee shops around. Supermarket on the corner of the road junction where you could buy sandwiches etc. Would stay there again and recommend to people on a budget.
Arrived in this hotel for a three day stay. The services were great but in the room we stayed there was urine odour coming out from the toilet. Location is good, walking distance to the centre and the commute are easier to access. We had to change and find another hotel due to the strong urine smell.
We stayed here in June & really liked the hotel. The location is great- close to 2 tram stops (Ceintuurbaan & Van Woustraat) , as well as has a market across the street (Marqt) that we visited many times. Everything was very clean, which I appreciated. The room was a decent size and we had a small balcony. It was a great spot to sit and relax.... and enjoy watching the wild parrots who live in the trees in that area. The bathroom was good- nice, hot shower, blow dryer, and plenty of towels. We brought a portable clothesline, which came in handy for hand washing a few items during our stay. The bed was comfortable & there were enough outlets for our chargers. The lack of air conditioning was a bummer, as the weather was quite warm during our stay. There was a tiny fan, but it didn't do much to alleviate the heat. Unfortunately, there isn't any way to get the air to flow through the room, even with the door open. A larger fan would have been great. The location was just a few blocks from Sarphatipark, where we spent a couple of afternoons (picnicking and people watching). There were also many restaurants near by. We ate at the Italian restaurant Casa Nostra, which is right down the street. The Albert Cuyp market is also not far away- definitely within walking distance. Overall, we really liked the hotel and the area it was in. It was convenient to take the tram into the City Center. We would definitely stay here again!
