Very nice place, close tram station, walking distance from Albert Koupf bazar. Friendly staff. Not very comfortable rooms but clean, with cozy beds and nice clean bathroom. We visited the hotel December month so the very good heating of the hotel is an extra plus
I travel all over the world for my business. This is very dirty place, worst customer service, very very small room. What they call 2 beds is basically one queen size bed cut in half. I came from usa first time in Amsterdam and paid more than $200 per night and booked it via Expedia, the hotel was so bad I had to check out next day and find another hotel, for rest of my trip. I am diabetic, so I need Ice for my insulin. I tried called front desk and the phone doesn't work, I went to front desk And ask for ice, they said there is supermarket around the corner I must go and buy few cubes Ice I needed. I mean how bad customer service can get. Stay away from this place.
Amsterdam is my favourite birthday destination. This year we have taken my parents with us. We've tried already another few hotels in past years. Atlantis is great. Very good location on tram links to the centre and main train station. Very clean and very polite, smiley and helpful staff!!! Thank you!!!
Given the date that we visited this hotel (day before kingsday) it was relatively cheap. The room was clean and had a good tv with basic coffee making facilities. Breakfast was not included and cost an extra 9 euros. The selection was poor and there was nothing substantial available for vegans. Overall good location with links to public transport! Some nice bars and coffee shops in the area!
We stayed here for 2 nights April 10th-12th, hotel is a good 30 min walk from Amsterdam central station, you can get a tram but we opted to walk as it was a pleasant walk and killed some time, we booked 2 rooms and got rooms 4 & 18, both on the ground floor, rm 4 was spacious with a double bed plus a single bed the room was very clean although the walls were covered with coffee stains which was a shame, rm 18 had 2 single beds (head to toe) the rm was very small but had a little outside area which rm 4 didn't. The beds are comfy, rooms were cleaned each day and clean towels supplied. The hotel has free wifi which was a good speed, we didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that but i think its just a continental breakfast not a cooked breakfast. We had a late return flight and check out is 11am but the hotel allows you to leave your luggage in the storage rm but this is not locked so i wouldn't leave any valuables in your bags! Would i recommended the Atlantis?? Yes i would. Would i stay here again? No as i would next time opt for a hotel more Central.
Went for a holiday trip around Europe with my family. The hotel is nearby to a supermarket (just across the street) and tram stations. And also within walking distance to Albert Cuyp mart. Can go easily to Damrak by tram line 4 to Central Station. The reception girl (Titiana) is nice and helpful with the tips of how to go around the city. The croissants and breads are super good. The room is spacious enough for triple and quadruple beds. Will return for the next trip!
The location is very good, right next to the tram stop. The room is a little small but it is clean. The size of the bathroom was good. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. I would totally recommend it.
Hotel was in a good location for accessing the central of amsterdam. Staff were friendly too. However twin room isn't really a twin room as 2 single beds pushed together. Other than that I would definitely book here again.
Stayed there for 2 nights with my sister. The location is good, you can Walk to the center in cute little streets or Take the tram, there is a stop 2 minutes away. The bathroom is really nice and modern but the room is not. It is ok, the only bad thing was that it smelled really bad when we arrived. There is a balcony which is a good point.
We had to wait two hours for our room to be ready as there was a problem with the shower. The plumber didn't clean up his mess so we had to tidy the bathroom ourselves. No apology from the rude man on reception although the staff did improve as our stay progressed. The room as so cramped and shabby. We didn't want to walk around in bare feet because the carpet felt damp and dirty. The room was at the very back of the hotel so it was very dark and in the mornings there were people smoking right outside our window! We couldn't open the curtains to get ready and had to stumble around in the weak light of the "2 watt bulb" in the ceiling. The door banging went on all night every night.. so uncomfortable and horrible. We loved Amsterdam but dreaded coming back to our hotel every evening.. no home comforts what so ever. AVOID
