We stayed here for 2 nights and the reviews we read before we arrived were correct The reception was warm and welcoming and the staff were friendly The room was perfect, tidy and comfortable with all amenities you need Bed was comfortable and luxurious Did not try the food but ate out for breakfast and evening meals after sight seeing Try this hotel - 4* is accurate prices are favourable Would definitely recommend this hotel and location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were helpful & made us feel welcome. We didn't spend much time in the room as we were sight seeing so much. I've deducted a star as it's quite a noisy hotel. We heard every noise and the housekeepers would bang hoovers around very early. We could hear the couple above us arguing during the night & the noise was coming through the vent in our room. Another negative was the major lack of room service - no food to offer at all. I probably would stay again but i would ask for a room higher up rather than 1st floor. The location was good too, tram ride to Dam Square & back to a quieter side of the city where the hotel is located. You soon get the hang of where you're going and it's a beautiful mesmerising place to see.

The hotel was very convenient for the conference i was attending at the Rai (20 min easy walk) and every single member of staff i came into contact with was friendly, polite and helpful. The staff definitely added to the quality of my stay and gave the hotel character. The room was spacious (especially by Amsterdam standards!) and the whole hotel was well decorated in a baroque style. The Bar area looked especially inviting as did the lovely al fresco area, although far too cold this trip! Very comprehensive breakfast buffet with good coffee. Short taxi ride to Leidseplein (circa 15E). I cannot fault this hotel, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Lovely hotel situated in a nice location. As it was mine and my friends birthday we received a lovely box of chocolates each. Breakfast was nice and the bar prices reasonable. Sam was very helpful especially with organising our taxi back to the airport.

A theatre and a hotel! Luxe interior, red velvet seats, dark wood. The theatre is so small (performances in Dutch) that it won't disturb your stay. Friendly, low profile staff. Comfy bed, warm and clean room. Large bathroom. Good supply of toiletries replenished daily (take conditioner with you as its not provided). Kettle, tea and fridge. Complimentary bottled water each day. Hairdryer in bathroom. Thick blackout curtains. Bikes for hire (16€ per day). Cycling is by far the easiest way to get around Amsterdam. Located on a quiet street but bear in mind it is a bit out of the centre but with a tram stop nearby and of course the bikes. Try to avoid taxis - we felt a bit ripped off by them. Lost a star for cheap, thin travelodge style towels and loose headboards.

I stayed for one night due to an event nearby the area. It was the great to stay, and the location is perfect for sightseeing. It was around 15 minutes walked from the hotel to Rijksmuseum and near to tram station. The price is average compared to another hotel, but the hotel itself is charming and different from other. I was staying during the winter season and has no problem with the heater.

If you are looking for a conveniently located hotel, nice and helpful staff, hreat value for your money, here it is. Clean (a little bit small) and cosy rooms, centrally located but nice and calm! I just stayed 1 night on my back but would do it again.

Stayed for a brief 3 night getaway in the beginning of January (9th-12th). Having driven from France, we arrived late and were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who checked us in quickly. The room was lovely, well decorated and had a grand bathroom. However, we were woken up by very loud construction noise the following morning. We were kindly moved to another room which was a bit smaller but included a balcony. The rooms are very clean, warm, comfortable and include a fridge and tea&coffee making facilities. The hotel is very well located in a respectable, quiet area with a few shops around and a tram stop just around the corner. Museums and attractions are also within walking distance if you'd rather walk or want to avoid public transport. Note that parking in the area is paying from 9am to 9pm. Very pleasant stay thanks to the staff and surroundings. Would book again without a doubt when returning to the city.

After booking through booking.com we ended up with 2 different room standards for excactly the same prices. I was promised the same standard when I came and checked in the day before my guest arrived. This situation could have easily been solved by the hotel manager next day (in many ways) but he could not care less.

Close to Museum Quarter, easily accessible by public transport, close to Vondelpark. Stylish 1920 interiors, largely original, small but well equipped rooms, quiet area. Mind a steep staicase but yhere is a lift. Food good but breakfasts fairly expansive, not really worth the price. You can easily have breakfast in one of nearby caffes on your way to the city center.
