Second time staying at this hotel and i would recommend it to anyone, the location is ideal just over the square from the main station and within easy walking distance to all the main attractions. We travelled as 2 couples in our 50s and 70s as a birthday treat . When we arrived we had just missed breakfast but the staff allowed us to help ourselves to the continental breakfast (which we were'nt entitled to and hadn't paid for) until our rooms were ready for checking in.When checking in the staff realised we had stayed there before and immediately upgraded us to a superb room overlooking the main square free of charge (more expensive than we had paid for). All the rooms we have stayed in previously have been spotlessly clean. This is a lovely well run hotel ideal for couples of all ages with really friendly staff and we'll definately be staying again. Clean and efficient- super nice people . Short walk to train station and convenient to everything else . The hotel is tastefully decorated in a train theme and has breakfast available as well as snacks throughout the day .

The Hotel is not fancy neither new however is clean and very well located. Just steps from Centraal Station and blocks from main attractions. Personnel is very helpful and attentive all times. They helped us with directions reservations and phone calls We were at the family apartment for three days. Quiet and silent nights Breakfast is simpl I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel

We recently stayed overnight in this hotel. From signing in to leaving this hotel staff were polite and very helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious with a walk in shower. The bathroom was bright, clean with up to date fixtures and fitting. Free coffee drinks are available at a set times. Breakfast was plentiful although do not expect the English fry up.A secure room is provided to leave your luggage both before and after leaving your room. Highly recommended. A room safe is provided.

Stayed here one night and it was very good. Clean rooms and a good breakfast central to everything. Right opposite the main train station.Hotel looks after luggage until we were ready after checkout would stay again.

A great place to stay. Small city centre hotel, 3 minutes walk from the station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms small but clean and warm. Lovely buffet breakfast Couldn't ask for any more. Will use again as it is so handy for all you want to do in Amsterdam.

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights. Reception staff Jay a credit to the hotel could not do enough for you he was amazing. Rooms small as you would expect in city centre but clean and perfect for a city stay. Location central for all tourist things couldn't recommend highly enough x

This hotel is right in front of central station.. walking distance was perfect ! The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had several transportation questions and they provided us with information and a map. I felt very safe and secure.

We stayed here in January, nice hotel, small twin room but all that we needed for setting up base. 3 min walk from central station, 5 mins to the red light district. Plenty of places to eat nearby and a supermarket right next door. Staff very friendly, very clean hotel, breakfast was European, meat cheese bread etc. I enjoyed my time at the a train.

Firstly, the staff at The A Train hotel could not have been any more helpful. By mistake I booked a twin room for this weekend with my wife. When I asked to be changed to a double they couldn’t help me immediately as they were fully booked. Later in the day, the manager told us they had arranged for a room swap. He also wished both me and my wife ‘happy birthday’ (a day between us) and left a birthday wish and chocolates in our room. The hotel is small, cheap but very cheerful. It’s perfect for a long weekend when all you’re going to do is sleep and get showered / changed in it. Yes there will be nicer hotels, more modern with more space but non of them will have the A Train staff.
