The hotel was undergoing hotel renovation work at 7 am every morning.
all was good except hotel is in middle of renovation so make sure the assign a room all the way to back
The location is quite good, while the immediate vicinity of the hotel is not so desirable. The facility is decent but slightly below the standards of a 4-star hotel.
This hotel was perfect for our weekend in Amsterdam. Clean and great base to explore the city.
My suitcase did not arrive on my flight and the hotel staff was helpful in calling the KLM luggage center to track it. When the suitcase did show up the next morning at the airport, the hotel desk clerk requested that delivery to the hotel be expedited. I was supposed to check out of the hotel at noon and board a ship for a Rhine River cruise by 4..00 PM. The suitcase was delivered a few minutes before noon and the hotel staff let me check out past noon so I could change into fresh clothes. The hotel room was pretty basic, not luxurious, but met my needs for the night and was reasonably priced. It was close to another hotel with a restaurant I wanted to try. The hotel is located in the center of town as it name implies and would be a good start for exploring the city.
The hotel location is great and it is directly across from the police station. The area itself is beautiful and there are plenty of restaurants in the courtyard in front of the hotel. The rooms are small and cramped feeling, the pictures definitely create a better impression than the actual experience. The lobby is nice and the staff were great.
Great hotel, great location, clean, would recommend anybody
Great place, and good experience..enjoyed time location and closeness to fun areas
Very solid hotel in a fantastic location. The room was very comfortable and clean. The concierge was a little sour, but it was at a very busy part of the evening. The hotel is in a perfect location to do anything you want to do in Amsterdam. 4/5, would definitely stay there again.
Room had 3 twin beds, 2 pushed together but on roller wheels. Cant sit up in bed and watch TV because everything slides away and apart. It's near the red light district and city center, so expect drunken idiots yelling out your window all night.
Staff very accommodating and friendly. Hotel needs updating/renovation. Small plain looking rooms. Location excellent, convenient to Dam Square and Central Station. Adequate, nothing special here.
Great location: 5-10 minutes walking to Red Ligth District, 20 min to Hard Rock Cafe, Heineken Experience and Main Museums in Amsterdam. 5-8 minutes to the Central Train Station. Food (all types) in the surrounding area to the hotel. Just a no good: the internet was unstable and sometimes slow. The breakfast was abundant buffet (jams, hams, honey, fruits, breads, cheeses, juices, eggs, bacon,.... EUR 14,50 per day. Not bad y you have a huge breakfast for the whole day. I would recommend the breakfast
This was a very nice, clean hotel in the center of town. Restaurants, coffee shops and the tram are at your footsteps. We felt very safe, especially with the police station directly across the street. Most of the staff were friendly. we had to request washcloths (I thought it was strange it wasn't standard in the room but the staff brought us some promptly.).
The hotel staff is very friendly. Everything from check in to check out was very smooth. The location is also great where many attractions are walkable to. The lounge area is a great place to relax and grab a drink or two after a long day of walking.
Right in the middle of the inner ring and walking distance to all the major tourist spots. Many bars and restaurants right out side the door. Clean, very friendly staff, comfortable and perfect location. Short cab ride to the cruise ships.
Looks new and modern from the outside but inside rooms are dated and dingy. Bathroom from the 80's. Needs to be renovated. Location however is perfect.
The hotel is conveniently located near the central train station and the main shopping center. The check-in was very efficient and pleasant. I'm sure the staff service is excellent, although I was only there for a day so I didn't have too much interaction with them. What I was most disappointed about was the room. It was very small and not very well arranged. There wasn't really anywhere to sit, except the bed and the desk. And there wasn't a nightstand by the bed. I'm glad that I was only the hotel because of a long layover. If I had booked it for my main vacation hotel, I would be very sad.
Amsterdam central is full of crappy hotels. This is not one of them. It's quiet, clean, comfortable. I wouldn't spend on breakfast here though. 14€ at checkin or 18€ on demand - you can do better outside for 14€. Otherwise very nice hotel.
Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Good location, standard but large rooms, no complaints. Lobby staff was very friendly with lots of smiles.
Nice, budget-friendly hotel located in central Amsterdam. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Very close to Central Station.
