This hotel met our needs perfectly. We arrived in Albany quite late from NYC and left quite early the next morning for Vermont. Given its price, we'd stay here again.

Staff was fine. Room was old and dirty. Had clearly never vacuumed the room between the bed and night stand. Carpet was so stained I didn't want to take my shoes off. TV had issues, and hallway reeked of smoke. Also no extra outlets in the room which is no good for me with the equipment i travel with that need to charge. Bed was hard but at least the pillows were great. Luckily it was just an over night stay.

first I would like to say that the front desk people were friendly and professional. I honestly was not expecting a 5 star establishment but was disappointed in in a few things. 1) the fire alarm went off as we were entering our room and we were told by someone that was staying there for the past 3 1/2 weeks that it has gone off every night. 2) we had booked a smoking room and there was no ashtray the neighbor said that we were to just open the window and toss it out the window because they were told to do that. 3) the heat was broken but we did not realize it until 1 in the morning and were too tired to call maintenance when we got there the heat was off (40 degrees outside) so we set it at 70 thinking that when we got back that night it would be fine. 3) check out is at 11:00 (like every other place) but for some reason the cleaning people decided to knock on on our door before 9:30 and say Housekeeping, you check out. 4) Then we left the room (at 10:15, well before check out) to put our bags into the car (about 25 feet from the room through a doorway right into the parking lot) and then come back to the room to verify that we didn't leave anything behind (as I do every time I stay in a hotel) the housekeeping woman that rudely woke us up was ALREADY in the room cleaning the bathroom!!! we hadn't even checked out YET! I then notified the front desk of this situation and she promised to inform the manager, she then apologized for the rudeness of the cleaning lady and assured me that she would be spoken to. She also said that she would put a call into maintenance to have the heat fixed. I know that we could have called when we got back at 1 am but we were tired and thought that if we turned it up higher it would finally warm up.

The hotel was clean and neat. It met my needs which was mainly business purposes.

Fir the price, this was a nice hotel stay. The location was perfect for me and the service was friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again if I needed s hotel in the area.

Great for the price and location. Needed to be near SUNY Albany. It is right across the street.

The hotel needs to be cleaned. It smells bad inside, the smell of cigarette is horrible.

Nice, large well ventilated hotel room. Would definitely stay here again.

Although the front desk and its personnel made us wonder if we had made a mistake in booking this hotel, the room itself was clean, comfortable and pleasant. The location was very convenient right off the highway.

Great for a cheap room for a night to stay. Fantastic staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit out dated.

It is in a convenient location but that is about it. The halls are small and low ceilings so it does not have a welcoming feel to it. The breakfast was not very tasty. The toilet in our room was broken so we had work with it to get the water to stop after each use. But, I'd probably stay again just for the value.

We were on a college visit with our daughter and being right across the street from SUNY Albany was definitely convenient. However when our daughter pulled down the comforter to her bed there was some sort of a homemade S&M device made under the covers leading us to believe the linens had not been changed between guests. We requested new sheets and blankets be brought up and when they were we were expected to change them. If we did not have to wake up early I would have definitely looked for another place to spend the night!

a decent motel for the money; had stayed there once before so knew its convenient location to the thruway and Northway.

You get what you pay for....the hotel staff was really great, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is cheap, which is what we wanted but with cheap you get what you pay for. The rooms were clean enough, everything was just fine.....nothing special....but we were going for cheap and not amenities. If you would rather spend your money on other parts of your trip, then this is a great hotel to pick.

This hotel wasn't that bad considering the low price. The room was clean and the amenities within standard. The location is only beneficial if you have business with the University of Albany. Other than that the location wasn't prime if you are there to get to know the city. The only real complaint I have is that they were doing construction right outside my window and decided that 7 am was a great time to do that. I wish the hotel would have reconsidered their time of day for renovations.

I have stayed here in the past-good price for a quick stay when traveling from out of state to drop off/ pick up college daughter. First room assigned to me had a strong odor- not sure exactly what it was from, si I asked to be switched which they did without hesitation. Second room was clean & comfortable, staff was very friendly & helpful, especially the college student who worked the evening I checked in.

After a long day and a two hour delay a desk clerk with a bad attitude was the last thing I wanted. Was it my exhaustion or did he have an attitude? I don't know but if he was on my staff he would receive some major customer service training. This introduction to the Days Inn seemed like a bad omen. However I got upstairs and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom spotless with "natural" body care products. The continental breakfast even had fruit, not just a bunch of junky cereal and stale pastry. So in all, I needed a room to sleep in for a few hours before the next leg of my trip. Days Inn delivered with a good value. No, it was not a luxury resort but that is not what I purchased.

Lacking. But for the tight wallet - you'll get through it.

This was an extremely comfortable and clean hotel; the bed was great, breakfast was even better and the staff were helpful. Only drawback--no frig in my room.

The hotel is convenient to the college. It was great to have a 'frig in the room. I like the closeness to Dunkin'.
