This was my 2nd visit to Aberdeen and stayed in Park Inn for 38 nights... Very much centrally located , this hotel offered comfortable stay .. Spacious rooms and nice spread for breakfast.. Railways station, Bus stations all walkable distance... Lot of restaurants nearby as well... Nice experience..
Found our stay very disappointing. We booked a double or king bed but got twin beds stuck together with nothing to stop mattresses from sliding apart. Breakfast we were not informed of all they served , like omelette, fried eggs or poached. Toaster you either got anemic or burnt toast . They had Christmas parties on Saturday night no problem there , but morning after went to the downstairs toilet only to find it looking like Beirut. I thought I would let the receptionist aware of this fact, and mentioned maybe they were short staff as she was the only one on and because of the state the toilets were in . She reassured me that they were not short staffed . Then when we were to go back to our room there was only one lift in operation for the whole hotel . On our departure we were asked if our stay was good after waiting for 15 mins , at reception to check out, to which we replied no average.
In a brilliant location, surrounded by bars & restaurants just of the main road. Hotel is bright and rooms a great size, comfy beds. Staff always happy & helpful. Breakfast awesome. Stayed before and will definitely be back.
My husband and I went to Aberdeen a few weekends ago as we were going to the Kasabian concert. As neither of us had been to Aberdeen we decided to bus it from Edinburgh to Aberdeen City centre then we had to get a taxi to the hotel. Aberdeen city centre is lovely enough, clean and we didn't have any issues walking about after the concert.(Which was FANTASTIC!!). The hotel itself is lovely an clean, staff were helpful and polite enough. The room was a good size room but the only negative was we had a shower room and not a bath. The room was warm throughout the night and there is a late check out of 12pm. Great! Only thing was I was woken up by house keeping at 8am and considering we were up till 2am - I was pretty tired. We didn't eat at the hotel as the concert started at 7pm and the restaurant opened from 6.30 till 9.30pm. We did have a drink before the concert and it was rather expensive - but what would you expect. The surrounding area was fine, plenty of restaurants, clubs and cafes and it's one street away from Union Street. I would recommend this hotel, the price for the room for the same price as a Premier Inn.
Stayed here for one night in November got a cheap deal through itison it's in a good location for centre of town only down fall is there's no parking at hotel .there is parking beside it but you have to pay for this. Our room was nice and clean really comfortable beds tea and coffee in room we had breakfast there plenty to eat You helped yourself to anything you wanted we would stay here again just pity no parking
This is our second time here, and again the "getting into the room" was the same disorganised chaos as the last time. We checked in early and left our bags in a secure room, came back at around 5pm (check in was 2pm!) and one of the rooms still wasn't ready!! They seemed to have the same "short of staff" story as before. Having said all that, the rooms are great. Clean, comfortable & plenty of space. Also, they have all the facilities you could want, including iron board etc on request. The staff are friendly & helpful. We would recommend this place, and will go back again ourselves. I just hope they can sort out the check in/ room availability better.
Stayed here for 4 nights in October and was very happy with this property. The rooms were modern, comfortable and spacious and the breakfast spread was very impressive. The staff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble - they even opened the bar up for us at 2am so we could have a night cap :) The hotel is located just off the main strip - far enough to get some peace and quiet, but only a block from the action with plenty of restaurants/bars etc. only minutes on foot. A great place to base yourself. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We got a cheap online deal and decided to go for it. A very nice hotel in a good location for the centre of town. A carpark right next to the hotel, which is handy but very expensive at £12 for 24 hours! Very polite check-in; bar and breakfast staff. A nice room which was only let down by it being freezing cold and not enough lighting. We eventually got the room to a decent warmth (took until the middle of the night though as the heating only works with the room key card in the slot - be aware of this!). Nothing we could do about the lack of light though and my wife struggled to get her hair done and her war paint on! We were in room 101, which is near the lift and also directly opposite a pub and nightclub - this didn't fill me with optimism for a good sleep, but it was surprisingly quiet and we slept soundly! Shower was a little on the weak side - glad I have short hair which washes easily - my wife struggled with this though. The bar downstairs is pricey, even for city centre Aberdeen! Breakfast was excellent though! I would definitely book in here again - I'd maybe park my car somewhere cheaper and take a jacket and torch, but I still enjoyed my stay! 1 point deducted for parking costs (can't the hotel get a deal going?); pricey bar; cold room and lack of light. A nice place all in all and I'd recommend it.
We stayed hear last year .So we decided to stay again .Lovely central hotel not far from the Train Station about 12 mins in total coming up the side streets .Very quite on the side our room was .But think could be very Nose on the front off the hotel rooms as there a few night clubs in the Area .There is a Weatherspoons straight across the road which was handy if you did not want to eat in the hotel at night .We ate in the Weatherspoons for our meal on the Weds night ,.But we went out to visit friends on the Thursday night .Hotel rooms are very big but there lacking drawer space for clothes .toilets are lovley big with shower .Its Dove Toiletres nice touch as normaly just the basic cheap ones in some hotels .The bed was 2 singles together but the beds could be doinng with a memory foam topper with some new pillows ours were very lummpy .But all in all room was nice& Clean .We had a superour room so you get access to the Business class room where there are free drinks etc .But we had to go ask to get our room cards validate to get into the room,The fridge had a few lagers red wine but no white wine .There was soft drinks like cola apple juice orange juice nibbles like nuts fruit oranges apples .But would be nice for some Mini pack of biscuits for my cuppa tea .Nice but not in use from the friday sat & sun so only in use from mon till thurs .But we were out on thurs all day & night .
Arrived on the Saturday night, the receptionist Pam was very helpful in booking is in, getting us organized for booking a table for dinner for us. Was a bit disappointed that the restraunt was closed, but the bar was okay, the food was lovely and the waiter was very good in guiding my wife to gluten free options on the menu. Our room was lovely clean and airy, the bed was nice and comfy and a good night sleep was had. The breakfast over the 2 days was very good, again the gluten free option is plenty full which is important for my good lady. The location is good it only takes about 10 mins to walk into the centre of Aberdeen. Yes I would stay again, the major hassle is parking but hey you can't have everything.
