Location close to beach and reasonable walk into city centre, is good. Very friendly and professional welcome upon arrival. Lift is rather small and decor in room was very tired. Value is good including buffet breakfast, which was fresh and had a good selection. Staff were excellent throughout. Would stay again based on price value.
Another business trip to Aberdeen helped by a comfortable stay at an excellent hotel, nice surroundings including a lovely walk along the seafront followed by good food with polite, friendly staff. Plenty of free parking in the hotel car park is always a bonus.
The hotel is near the beach and it is possible to go to the city centre. The rooms are a little bit small and a lot of them have only one window to an atrium and one three meters high to the roof. There were seagulls breeding in front of the window. The WiFi is good and the lobby nice. The breakfast is also very good.
What a fantastic couple of days we had as a couple at this hotel. We were in the platinum suite and were very pleased with the room and view. The food was excellent and staff were so friendly and just could not do enough to help us and look after ever need. We definitely will be back
Where to start? Location is ok. I guess I should have booked a better room than the standard because it was tired and the front lobby is out of the 70's. UGLY, Old uncomfortable furniture. Great staff get a 10/10. Cookie on arrival is a nice touch. Breakfast for £10pp was ok but we refused to use room service with the £10 tray charge on the weekend that's outrageous. Only one TINY lift? You must be joking. When a bus arrived it was a twenty minute wait or a long walk up to the top floor. And make the smokers move away from the front door. Why do I have to smoke their cigs whilst loading my car?
This was 2nd stay in this hotel and both times had a fab stay. Always look forward to the breakfast and not disappointed. All the staff were extremely helpful. Superb room with great sea front view. Cannot wait for next visit.
We had a great time staying at the Hilton Double Tree Aberdeen. The staff were friendly. Alan, who was working in main bar and then on breakfast the following day was very helpful, friendly and gave us great service!! Breakfast was also great value with a wide range of hot and cold buffet to choose from and good coffee. Despite the busy restaurant at breakfast, service was great. The only down side was the rooms were looking quite old and could do with updating. We were also on ground floor room. You couldn't open the windows and there was no air conditioning so it got pretty hot at times. Despite this, I would recommend the hotel.
Please improve on your TV system by subscribing to Sky and other Cable TV system to allow for a variety programs. The current TV system does not give options outside BBC and Sky news which are mostly British. No sports channels etc. I qas impressed with the taxi system and the location of the hotel as it within various city shopping facilities and the wonderful beach of Aberdeen. Very friendly people except that on incident
It was a bit disappointed with the hotel given the brand and price. The lobby has only one elevator and I saw long queues when groups came in, and getting to the gym is like walking a mace. So floor plan is not the smartest... Rooms are OK, although it annoys me when taps are not properly mixing hot and cold water (not very modern engineered faucets), so it took a bit time to find out how to use shower first time, and the sink kind of burns and cool your hands at once. Internet worked fine. Not very well sound insulation as I could hear people in next room and the corridor. Restaurant is great. Lobby and bar are nice. Location: I thought the hotel would be closer to the city center, given its name. But it's a bit of walk, 10-15 minutes. But I did discover the Aberdeen Beach promenade right by the hotel, which was really amazing and much recommended.
We had a duplex room in the Platinum Suite. The views were excellent across to the sea. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant for our evening meal and this was very good with reasonably priced wine. The staff were all very helpful.
