We came here for a night away after the festive break. Was brilliant being so close to codonas and amusements. Our room was spacious and very clean. On arrival we got complimentary cookies which were to die for especially with it being cold outside, they were warm and gooey. Had some drinks downstairs in the bar where staff were very friendly and polite. Later on we had a meal in the restaurant it was delicious. Best burger I have had and massive plate full. My fiancee had steak and he also couldn't fault it, said it was the best steak he has had. Next day we had football so very handy to be a 5min walk. On leaving we felt so happy with our stay we had hoped to stay another night but as it was new year approaching we had plans. We will definately be back again and can't wait. Thank you so much for a brilliant time and excellent customer service.
We went here for an anniversary celebration, booked into the Platinum Club on Dinner B&B deal, well worth the difference, nice sea view, huge comfy bed, and plenty of room. Room was lovely and warm on a cold day, very welcoming, thanks. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful Dinner wasn’t perfect and one meal wasn’t edible, but our account was adjusted to cover the cost, breakfast was excellent plenty of choice. Just a 15/ 20 min walk to city centre, 5/ 10 mins to coast, so it is in a great location.
We found ourselves staying at this hotel st short notice. We took a chance on the fixed priced dinner menu and were delighted. Service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable with perfectly cooked main courses of rack of lamb and roast sirloin despite a very busy dining room on New Years Eve. The rest of the meal was excellent too and breakfast the next day was a massive buffet which importantly was regularly refreshed unlike many hotels I have stayed in. The staff are very international and it was great to see that local staff could serve professionally and crack a smile - sadly many Scots appear not to know how to work in hospitality but this team were all superb and clearly well led. I have seen the points about the hotel being a little tired but it was extremely clean throughout and very reasonable value for the price. A late evening fire alarm was managed professionally, efficiently with good communication and staff clearly knowing their roll. In summery - warm professional and friendly staff. I am sure if you have an issue they will quickly resolve it. If the hotel needs an upgrade then that is for the owners - the high rolling days of Aberdeen are past and provided the room rate charged is sensible in today's market it is good value.
We had high hopes booking our first ever junio suite, however it was quite a let down. Only one bathrobe As house keeping hasn’t properly stocked the room. Hair in bath tub and pink residue. Weird stains/ marks on floor. Room service delivered cold food. Bar staff in main hotel awesome and friendly. Breakfast staff very welcoming and huge selection of food. House keeping staff very sharp and not friendly.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Hotel room was clean although a bit jaded, bed very comfortable however extremely cold. There was only one wall heater which was mounted in a corner of the room away from the bed and bathroom area. It emitted very little heat which was quickly absorbed by the external wall which was at right angles to it. I did ask for additional heating but was offered a second duvet only which would have done nothing to improve the room temperature. Certainly would not stay again during the winter months.
Booked a family room which doubles as a room suitable for guests with mobility issues. Decor very tired & most definitely requires upgrading. Curtains off the rail, stained carpet, dirty & chipped tiling. Large room but took some time for the 2nd heater to work. Required to obtain a 2nd duvet for the children. On that note, given the size of the room I would have thought there would be a 2nd bed rather than a sofa bed. Not the most comfortable for them (actual bed more than comfy). Being the case I don't see why families with 2 children cannot book the standard room. Only had breakfast in the hotel which was lovely, offering a wide choice suitable for everyone. A point I would make to management is to keep the access route to the lift clear for those guests unable to use stairs. Completely cluttered with folding tables etc. I would avoid this hotel until it undergoes some upgrading. I can only speak for the family rooms, others may be of a better standard.
We had a fantastic stay and can’t thank all the staff enough. They made Christmas special for us. From the room to the restaurant all our needs were covered. The food on Christmas Day was brilliant. Thank you all
stayed in platinum club junior suite as treat for daughters wedding also booked 2 others suites for bride and bridesmaid so was not a cheap stay . On arrival very impressed brides room had special congratulations plate and suites very spacious .My suite for myself and grandaughter was on 2nd floor it was snow outside and -3 but heating poor in room and heaters in corridor not working told girl at reception and after returning from tea oil filled radiators had been put on in corridor .On turning in for the night could not get to sleep for next doors kinky sex acts screaming slapping whipping noises had to move grandaughter to brides room as not appropriate for 11 yearold to hear !!!! called care line who asked them to quieten down did for a bit but was actually woken from sleep at 4,30 am same carry on went to reception given a room to get some sleep as said he could do no more had asked them to be quiet not great as up at 7 for daughters wedding . Do not stay here if you want a sleep walls adjoining doors no soundproofing .On leaving sais again to reception told just unlucky!! E mailed manager poor response offered upgrade and welcome drink for future stay not good enough at the price of these suites premier inns guarentee good sleep or money back very disapointed not even acknowledged when returned e mail saying i would not stay again unhappy hilton honours member worst I have ever stayed in .
A really nice hotel with friendly staff. Visited as a family for the purpose of taking kids to Codona’s which is just across the road. Breakfast was really nice. Great selection. Room was clean and a great size for the 4 of us. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Not the 1st afternoon tea we've had but definitely the best, the gentleman serving us was very efficient and attentive, coffee choices, good selection of sandwiches and cakes, etc., ending with a lovely warm cookie. We had a Groupon voucher which made it very good value indeed.
