If you'd like to experience another side of Asian art, culture and history, you can fly from Tokyo to Bangkok and witness all the wonders that Thailand's capital has to offer. Bangkok has long been a top travel destination due to its immaculate buildings, unique marketplaces and budget-friendly lodging and dining. It's easy to take a train, bus or taxi to Narita International Airport (NRT). A direct flight from there to Bangkok will take around seven hours.
The Grand Palace is considered to be a work of art in and of itself. The Temple of the Reclining Buddha features an enormous golden statue of Buddha and attracts many followers. Impressive artworks created by Thai and other Asian artists are housed inside the Museum of Contemporary Art. If you want to purchase some of the local goods, you can hop in a boat and tour one of the city's floating markets. It may be one of the most unique shopping trips you'll ever experience.
After you arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), you can catch a tuk-tuk, ride a taxi or take a water bus along the city's waterways. The Bangkok Railway Station is the main hub for rail transportation within the city. You can expect warm temperatures throughout the year, with highs usually reaching 95 degrees and lows only dropping into the 70s.
