The Raleigh-Durham International Airport is the main airport offering flights from Dallas. The two terminals at the airport offer flights from several airlines, but you should focus on Terminal 2, where US Airways is located. This airline provides several flights to Dallas, including early morning flights for those who want to get there with plenty of time to spare.

If you bring your car to the airport, look for the parking garage between the terminals, which has space for 11,000 vehicles. The daily, or long-term, lots charge just $12 per day. Park and Ride options are also available, and these spaces come with shuttle service to the airport. Transportation to the airport comes in different forms, including taxis and buses. A taxi ride from Raleigh might cost around $30, while the Triangle Transit buses only cost a few dollars.

If you stay at a hotel like Courtyard by Marriott, Hampton Inn, Studio 6, or Wingate by Wyndham, you can grab a free shuttle to your hotel. More than 80 hotels in the Dallas area offer free shuttles.

Springtime is the best time to visit Dallas, because the city sees temperatures in the mid-50s to just over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are often quite dry, with temperatures topping the 90 degree mark. The temperatures start dropping to 70 degrees or less in the fall, and a winter visit might see highs in the 50s.

A trip to Dallas isn't complete without a visit to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, which covers more than 60 acres. The city is also home to museums like The Sixth Floor at the Texas Book Depository, the Museum of Biblical Art, and the Dallas Museum of Art.
