On 2/13, I stayed at the Sonesta Select Newark and had a very upsetting experience. The hotel staff assumed I was hosting a party simply because my friends came to the property to obtain a parking pass. Without any valid reason, they made that assumption and decided to put me out of the hotel. What makes the situation worse is that they collected my friends’ money for a parking pass and then immediately told us we had to leave, refusing to issue a refund after denying us the ability to stay. The entire situation was handled unfairly and unprofessionally, and I will be contacting corporate to formally escalate this matter.

The room was ok, but the people next to me had a dog that barked and barked, which annoyed me because I couldn’t sleep for work, I worked night shift, I really think dogs shouldn’t be allowed because people rent rooms that don’t have dogs, the rooms smell like dogs, dog hair be all over, and the carpets stink, and I was charged for parking, which don’t make sense, I will never ever come back there again
