Great place to stay as this hotel is connected to Sunshine City. You will be spoiled for choice for shopping, dining etc. Another plus is the fact that the airport limousine stops at this hotel. Staff were attentive though check in could be improved. The check in machines was not working when we arrived. The lobby of this hotel is quite spacious but the lounging/ waiting area was a pity, I was looking for a comfortable sofa or lounging chair on this area.

I loved my stay at the Sunshine City Prince Hotel. The location was absolutely perfect—right inside Sunshine City Mall, which made it so easy to grab food, do a little shopping, or just wander without going far. The staff were consistently warm and helpful, and the customer service was excellent throughout my stay. My room was clean and refreshed daily, complete with new robes and slippers, which felt like a nice touch after long days out in Tokyo. Being in Ikebukuro was ideal too—just about a 10-minute walk from the Yamanote Line, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere in the city. Very small room, the walls are paper thin where you can hear your neighbour. One staff in particular at the front desk was not very helpful when we asked her about the airport bus limousine service. I would not be coming back as I know there are other better rooms and service in the same price point and area.

I have stayed in this hotel twice since I just like the location. It is far from Ikebukuro station but I don't mind walking. And this hotel connects to Sunshine city so you will be close to everything you need and convenient if you don't take train so much. However, the biggest problem this hotel has is its AC system. It says they have AC, but you don't get access to control it and cannot change the room temperature since their AC system is an old central AC. My first time staying at this hotel was in February, 2020.(Could be January) Winter in Tokyo is very cold but I was hot when I was in the hotel room. And I am a really cold person. Then when we asked the front to change the temperature, they said they lowered it but we were still hot so they ended up bringing a fan in our hotel room. Well, a fan spinning in a heated room in Winter... So if you are a hot person, this hotel would be really uncomfortable. My husband was sweating and really upset. He won't stay at this hotel in the future anymore. This my second time stay, November, 2025, he didn't go to Japan with me so I stayed in this hotel again. I assumed the hotel room would be hot and I was right. Well, maybe I was forgetting how uncomfortable it was last time so it was hotter than I was expecting in the room. Again, I am a cold person. I am always cold. I didn't say anything to the front though this time, because I knew they can't do anything about it. I am not sure about staying in Summer because I have sta

The hotel is clean, quiet and well kept. The location is perfect, as it is connected to a mall, close to a famous shopping street outside the mall, and the train and subway stations. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Would stay again and highly recommend.
